I love Pep but I think he was not prepared for unfortunate crisis like injuries and thats sad. Last season I watched Liverpool using his kids in various competitions, prepping them up for big days. When I see some of those kids now holding the team together, playing carabao, FA games to develop and winning games, while big players take time to rest. These players are not machines, and it will always takr a toll on them if not well managed.

The variables used to calculate XG are so subjective and complete nonsense that I can't see how a team scores 4 goals plus additional shots on goal that the XG score can possibly be less than the actual goals. It's weird.

I'm actually in Portugal right now, and was supposed to see Sporting play Estrella on Sunday night, but the league changed the match to the Friday prior. @DaLocoMoco that's the list that Amorim gave to Manchester United. It may have changed. I'm unsure whether Man U will allow him to bring his own players, or even change their four in the back. Amorim has played with four in the back a time or two. He prefers three in the back and the central center back to be somewhat of a strong and big guy.
I'm actually in Portugal right now, and was supposed to see Sporting play Estrella on Sunday night, but the league changed the match to the Friday prior. So if you're ever in Europe and wanting to catch a match, don't buy too early.

@@DuderinoDeux what does that have to do with Sporting losing its coach. Amorim has been with Sporting since coming over from Braga during the 2020 season. He won two leagues. That's two more than Sporting won in the past twenty years. He's been a godsend. As for Benfica and Porto, they couldn't afford him, nor would he go to either. The only coach of similar capacity was Jorge Jesus. He left Benfica for Sporting in 2015. I would take Amorim over him. Maybe your comment was meant as "trolling." I hope it works out for him at Manchester. I don't think it will, and he'll end up regretting this decision.
