  • Is it possible to have healthy relationships after a difficult childhood? How do you heal from childhood traumas and build healthy relationships?
Pastor Ike Miller shares his personal story of growing up with an alcoholic father, which caused him a lot of pain. In his new book, "Good Baggage: How Your Difficult Childhood Prepared You for Healthy Relationships," he explains how he used his childhood experiences to grow and build healthier relationships.
With the help of his faith, supportive community, therapy, and a commitment to learning new ways of thinking and living, Pastor Ike is able to share his story of resilience and redemption. If you had a difficult childhood, what work have you done to seek healing? Do you think your experience motivated you to intentionally learn how to build healthy relationships?

Only when I got older and had my grandkids, before that I was in survival mode. I do wish I would have been aware and awake enough to do more for NY kids in this way, but they are a great example to me, they reach out to their siblings and stay close, even after the rocky parts. I pray to know how to build good relationships, and try to spend more time with my kids, grandkids, and church family.

Horror movies are horrible😊 I've never liked them, and they were not scary to me, just silly to turn abuse, violence, and all that sick stuff into entertainment. I have not even watched more than five minutes of any horror movie.

The demons know fear, they must likely fooled with him. But not to be funny, but to get to you in a real way.
