Jarrod, the mule and the spoon scorp are fantastic ! Now, you have turned a two day process into a hour long treat. You are going to have soft hands if you keep coming up with these time savers. I just finished my bowl mule this summer...looks like a spoon mule is next.
I'm feeling inspired :-) Thanks for sharing your talent, Jarrod. I agree with Grandpa Bill...a video instruction for making the spoon mule and scorp would be much appreciated! I can make it if I can see it done first.
@miller, I live in Germany too. Unfortunately you will have to rely on the internet for spoon carving and green wood working tools. The two big suppliers of fine wood working tools stock some wood carving tools. For other tools you will have to look abroad.
miller I know of one shop in Berlin and one in Metten/ Bavaria. I am not aware of any shop with hand woodworking tools in the vicinity of the Black Forest. Maybe you can get lucky and have a look at an arms shop close to you. Sometimes they stock carving knifes in addition to the hunting knifes they offer. If you find anything worth while please let me know. Always searching for a nice shop to have a look at.
I love the noise of the sharp scorp working through that wood like butter 👌👍💪
