I'd love it. If anything (unpopular opinion) I'd love her to make a Rock/Punk oriented album. She should go back to her roots and really reinvent herself like she used to. I know she won't ever do it because most of our fan base is made by dance/pop lovers but I'm still hoping.

Well you know by then she hasn't picked up a guitar in over 15 years since her first solo album came. They have people who were monsters on guitar but if they haven't picked up an instrument in over 10 years they'll have to start back from basic. Take for instance, Vinny Vincent. He was a great guitar player and a huge shredder. He reappeared in the spotlight for the first time in 30 years. He started playing again but wasn't the same. All he did was play common chords that were about it.
I was impressed to find that Madonna did write a lot of her songs. I'm still not terribly impressed by the songs, but I thought they were written for her. I have a little more respect for her because of that. Not a lot, but some. I wouldn't really say that any of those songs stir up any more thought or emotion than any other pop song though, so I can't really go along with the idea that her having actually written some of those songs makes her an artist. During the 80s, Madonna & Stephen Bray wrote and produced dozens of successes, while Bray continued in Breakfast Club, Madonna had left the band for a solo career. In the late 80s, The Breakfast Club got their own successes in the US charts with "Right On The Track", "Never Be The Same" & "Express Way To Your Heart". Shortly after, the band broke up and the 2nd album that had recorded with MCA was never published.
Tracks from the previously unreleased BC 2nd album recorded in 1988 have been leaking out gradually since 2016. The EP called "Percolate" has several catchy songs, including "Court of Love" and the textbook sophisti-pop "Can't Put My Finger On It".
