I love how Werster couldn't yell at full volume because his mom would wake up from it and ground him from video games
quiet hype is the funniest hype
I know the feelin
tldr:
_SCREECH_
*LOUD BREATHING*
The 64th Shadow *HEAVY BREATHING*
The 64th Shadow We are here not only for the reaction but also to see the clutch saves
you forgot "DOOOOOOD"
*LOUD HEAVY BREATHING INTENSIFIES FOLLOWED BY A JOVIAL CHEER*
"critical hit!!"
*Milotic dies*
"it's not very effective"
...
Dr Philosophous lol
Dr Philosophous Clearly Milotic was just tired of fighting some scrub and tied from being bored.
The move died is not very effective
I've been playing Star Road for years, and that save from Chrism is still super impressive.
SimpleFlips hi
"A critical hit!
It's not very effective…"
i dont understand...not very effective? are you sure game?
2:31 "EUUUUUGH!".
-Big Smoke
Tavish DeGroot
you stole my joke
Tavish DeGroot "Too easy"
I like how they do these tricks all emotionless and suddenly they get all surprised and excited.
I've been spending my time trying to infiltrate the speedrun shadow government but I promise I'll start uploading more frequently soon.
I would really prefer if you'd be more active.
Apollo Legend I appreciate it because I dig your videos.
I appreciate the content. Thank you.
Apollo Legend thanks for being a channel
oh you're the one who's been doing that dude stop that alarm lasts an hour and it gets annoying stop it >:|
typical sonic 06 gameplay
HoustonFromCali Game is so glitchy that even dying is still enough to hit the goal ring. Only Sega at its best.
And worst, :D
TOO EASY ;)
Yoshi's Island: You get hit by lava, but land on a switch. SAVED.
Zachary Goterch cfccccc...
Zachary Goterch c..... cccc...c
For those of you wondering, that critical hit against Milotic was a 6.25% chance. Pretty lucky.
Aaron Payne Then he couldn't catch a level 4 caterpie with an 80% chance
RNG giveth and RNG taketh away.
My favorite one was when he was not able to find a Nidoran, but got Kangaskhan and Chansey on first safari ball.
5:15 when your playing at night and you dont want to get caught by your parents
Squiddy Seut look at my comment 😂😂😂😂
i saw it
Squiddy Seut sounds like he about to orgasm
That muscular speedrunner is so funny looking. He looks like a real stereotypical nerd, but has some muscles on him.
Yeah, steroids will do that.
Mike Wright Caleb Heart?
hes clearly not on roids
I love how Trihex is like "I can save it but fuck it i want to reset"
Sonic dies and barley got the ring and says "too easy"...
Bounceyboy had a pretty sick save at GDQ by missing a platform twice, but saving himself with the below platforms stopping himself from dying. By doing this he ended up winning the race. Here's the clip clips.twitch.tv/KitschyAbnegateShieldPipeHype
Rest In Peace ✌️
Hey Apollo Legend, I've been a fan of speedrunning for some time now (casually ran a few games, mostly a viewer) and I've seen your videos suggested for a few weeks/months at this point. I've seen a couple of them and they're always made very well and you seem to upload consistently which earned you my sub. Hope to see more great videos and the growth and success of your channel surpass even what you thought was possible! :)
"But he managed to hit the gold ring with sonics dead body"
I'm honestly surprised that Sonic 06 speedruns are a thing.
if animal crossing has speedruns, I don't know what couldn't.
Perhaps, but what I mean is how you just find glitches without even trying. And some can be detrimental to gameplay (i.e. the glitch during the fight with Silver how he can trap you in a way that your ring keeps coming back so you can't die). Not to mention some areas that are extremely difficult, like the high-speed sections. It may be possible that some people have just played it so much that they got good at those sections, but I highly doubt they have the patience to deal with that along with the unpredictableness of the game itself.
Funny, I was just watching a glitch video on the game and they literally mentioned that trick for beating Silver.
And it's also true that there are many glitches that can also skip sections of the game, so there's that. I guess I just initially found it odd that such a broken game had speedruns.
@@JoCoBrony is Sykoh the source?
Always awesome to see Werster and Narci on one list, but GODDAMN that last clip was fucking TENSE.
At 4:30 You can hear shaggy from Scooby doo
This was fascinating! Thanks for the little explanations beforehand, they really put them into perspective. The sonic one was too good!!
Great vids, Apollo! Keep em coming!
This video was so well made in that the narration was so simple and effective. Thanks.
Joden's wrong frame mido skip is still my favorite speedrunning save of all time, 90% because of the reaction though lmao
Thank you for this! Much love to the speedrunning community
I love that Trihex could've just died immediately and restarted, but gets baby Mario back anyway just as a challenge to himself in that moment.
this was great fun. I wish to see more insane saves
Hey, you actually provide useful commentary that is quick and informative. Good shit man, I like you
Youre content is quite possibly my favourite on youtube. Keep on producing man!
These videos and EZscapes are my favorite things on RUclips lately. Please for the love of god keep making them.
5:16 when something really exciting happens but you cant wake up your parents
2:21 i have never seen that sonic 06 glitch before, that's super cool and lucky for him
More saves please.
This is what all speedrunners want to achieve. The perfect crazy save.
It's so satisfying dude, made my day
You must watch A LOT of speed runs just to find clips or highlights for these top 10's you make, which is awesome.
This is part of the reason why you should not give up until it really is over.
You make really good content , thank you for it!
I just want to say, I appreciate that you make your videos accessible to people who might not be familiar with speedruns, instead of excluding newbies from your target audience. I was afraid that I would watch one of these and understand nothing, but instead I find your videos welcoming and fun. Thank you for opening a door into this intriguing world.
I like how some of the saves were immediately followed by death.
Oh damn, the Gex 3 Anime Channel music at the end :D
Another awesome video.
5:15 when your parents are asleep so you have to be quiet lol
I love these kind of videos
My boy Geoff!
Inchworms has always been one of the most impressive (slash luck based) places to do crazy tricks, but that tops it for what I've done/seen!
The guy who ran Minecraft, died on the very last shot of the last boss (ender dragon), and managed to make his falling corpse hit the end game trigger to set a world record time... in front of an audience at Games Done Quick... is the #1 save.
That Trihex clip is insane. I’ve seen him before. He’s crazy good at that game
1:50 that guy got so excited that he came
RIP Cosmo.
SkulShurtugalTCG is she ok?
She's not Cosmo anymore.
SkulShurtugalTCG so uh. why rip? she's still around, right
Barysan no really:(
Cosmo operates on a different level now
That Yoshi's Island save was definitely insane.
The last dude playing Super Monkey Ball gave me so much nostalgia to when I used to play it on my ps2!
I don't get it. Speedruns are about completing the game as soon as possible, so why some of this guys stopped playing for a few seconds?
ideally yah that'd be the case but in RPG runs that are several hours long taking a minute to contemplate a critical choice that could end the run isn't bad. In Caleb's FF7 case he probably considered the run to be over already and stopped, but then went for the extremely low (6% from what i've read) chance thing to save it.
Depending on what time they're going for, those few seconds might not matter by that point. When a game's world record can only be beaten by a second or two, every moment counts. But if there's a potential to beat it by several seconds or more, then if you're already on track for that, wasting a few seconds here and there won't hurt you. At that point it becomes more important to successfully finish the game than to be fast (and there are cases where pausing to collect your thoughts can help you do that).
And when the pause is due to emotional shock (like an amazing save), it's a semi-involuntary reaction, which I assume can only be choked back if you absolutely can't afford to pause. In "Top 10 Pop-offs", the guy doing the blind run of a Zelda game jumped out of his chair and did nothing for several seconds, out of shock and happiness at an insane stroke of good luck. Evidently he wasn't in a position where every second counted, so he allowed himself an idle moment to bask in his elation.
Camilo Montolio ain't that ironic? The riskiest move is honestly your safest and only move
watching these dudes flip out is pretty great.
As an honorable mention, we should've gotten the time a Dark Souls runner during AGDQ got stuck on the final level and just started passing the controller around the couch.
This should be like top ten most lucky moments in speed running
Great video, last save was insane lol
"Just wanted to prove I could do it", fucking Trihex he's such a boss
Good to see someone smart enough to capitalize on the open void of speedrunning content!
I thought the title was "top ten slaves in speedrunning"
Nice work! Glad to see you uploaded again, & here's looking forward to those user-submitted highlights!
Although I do wish I could have known better what caused Calebhart to think his FF run was over, & what made getting the 99 so critical.
Still, thanks for uploading, man!
I don't know much myself, but I watched another video with this clip and apparently he forgot to equip something called 'Transform' which would help him beat the fight quickly. Apparently getting the 99 helped him achieve the same trick as 'Transform' would have done. VL
that gex music at the end is just perfect
I really dig your videos. Make more! The SR community is so interesting.
love these videos
I dunno what it is about mario speedruns, but theyre my favorite to watch
Apollo man you’re a LEGEND keep on keeping on
He committed suicide about a year or so ago, he couldn't keep on keeping on... But man oh man when he was alive he inspired so many people. Just wanted to let you know
@@mrt8bit692 wow well fuck me that’s awful
there are 2 types of speed runners 1)people who play the way the game devs wanted them too. 2) people who play using every glitch possible .
5:14 didnt want to wake up his parents LOLOL
i love how happy they get when it works. Do what makes you happy
Majinphil, the bes shaggy in the world of speedrunning
5:15 When shit is hype but everyone is asleep.
love the videos dude
*5:16* When your parents are still sleeping..
Werster is NOT the luckiest player ever in terms of RNG. He's suffered SO much bad RNG, it just decides to manifest in the most unexpected (and welcomed) moments.
wait a damn minute...... how are some of these "saves" when moments later the run ends anyways?
5:17 when u dont want to wake ur parents up
2:19 LMFAO
Oh my god, Sonic 06's programming at it's finest.
lmao seeing this guys so happy makes me happy
These saves are so PogChamp
I was throwing a fit after seeing #2 thinking to myself that #1 is gonna be an overrated clip or something. That critical hit was ridiculous. That super monkey ball save was straight godlike, no question.
This is why you never give up.
The Trihex one was insane, should have been 2. One looked like a TAS like recovery
lol the mario run
"would you like to save?"
already did that
when no one is cheering for you and you have to cheer for yourself
5:14
lol at werster, can't wake up mummy so he has to whisper scream.
2:26 - Finisher Anyway! Someone's a Bone Collector!
That hushed screaming in the pokemon clip...
Sonic 06 guy: _hits gold ring with dead body_
*FBI*
Teach us your ways
These are amazing
As a beginning SMB2/SMBD speedrunner myself, that run would really get me excited too.
That Typhlosion clip is on that Ash Ketchum level of luck.
1:52 a guy just wtf are you making love?!
I speedrun a game that has a lot of randomizers and Quicksaving and Quickloading towards a randomiser section always helps me. Especially with modern games like New 'n' Tasty.
2:28
"No, yes"
"he falled all the way to the bottom of the level"
I love Dutchj and sunshine. Surprised to see him tbh
5:40 this is the only way I finish any course in SMB series after the first world
Love the music from Gex in the outro.
Things like Mido skip without pause buffering always blow my mind.
Jeez yoshi works hard for that damn baby
Rest in peace Cosmo
If you make a part two, I suggest looking into Almo's "The greatest shadow queen fight you will ever see" he thought it was over due to an incorrect route when ridiculous saves him
