    Apparently Bill has a history of antagonizing co-stars and directors. Richard Dreyfuss famously called him a drunken bully, and Richard Donner said he was incredibly difficult to work with on Scrooged. Maybe Bill has something against Richards.

      Murray totally upstaged Dreyfuss in "what about bob"..it was a stupid movie, but Bill made it watchable. Dreyfuss is just annoying

    The BEST! Love Dave, Love The Murracane! Great how Dave just let him go and do his schtick. Of corse it was all basically planned out, still, the immediacy and sense of improv sold it. Two tall goofballs win! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

    The first or second night I had a tv in my bedroom, this is what I watched. I never knew it was Dave’s first night, but I remained a loyal fan ever since.

    I am English. I was born in 1972 so if had been from the US, all these shows would've been iconic. As it happens I'm discovering 99% of them now, 2024, aged 52.
    So many British friends hate Letterman etc.
    I think we missed out, man. Big time.

      I remember watching this when it was first on and I didn't find it particularly funny at the time. Bill Murray rarely is in interviews. It was just that it was Dave's first CBS show, so it really didn't matter what happened.
