- It really was a terrifying ending to our trip..but.. It’s the final motorbike ride on our tour of Vietnam, and oh boy way this full of twists and turns! After 3 weeks of riding we had to make a decision. We boarded a night train in Da Nang and rode it to Nha Trang, picked up our motorbikes and on our final ride something happened that will change the way we look at life forever. Thank you so much for watching our Vietnam series 🥳
If you’ve enjoyed it make sure you give this video (and the other videos) a thumbs up and tell us in the comments where you’d like to see us go next! ⬇⬇⬇
Would love to see you back here in Canada with Eamon & Bec 💖💖
The video montage with Chloe and James was GOLD. Hahah I laughed so hard! So happy you were all able to pull through after seeing that tragedy and end the trip on a high. Sending my love from the US!
Greece
@@emptynestgardens9057 Same
Someplace wonderful. GREECE! Have you been there? I haven't. Always dreamed of going. Or, hmmm, NEW ENGLAND, USA. Six of the most beautiful States, East Coast. You could hike some of the Appalachian Trail to the top of Mt. Washington in New Hampshire, which has the worst weather in the world... they train for Everest there! Ocean, mountains, endless lakes, Boston, Portand, Maine, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island... tons of history and odd people!!! Come on over (but go to Greece!)❤
When they walked into the fancy hotel doing their music video , my wife and I were sitting in the lobby watching them . :) such lovely people .
This brings back some sadness. A friend of mine I used to work with left for his dream 6 week motorbike trip across India in December 2017. I remember watching him leave work, he was so excited and had planned it for months but a few days into his trip, he was hit by a truck and he died instantly.
You should take your time, process it and be careful but don’t let it take away from your trip.
I really hope Chloe and James starts a RUclips channel...can't wait for them to start it asap!
haha we keep telling them too! but make sure you get them on instagram - @takeadriveonthewildside
I adored them! I could see them being the 4th couple in the besties adventures with them, Eamon and Bec, Kara and Nate!
You Tube channels are not for everyone!!!
I would hate spending most of my time on the road trying to take the perfect videos hoping to get as many likes as possible.... it sounds like torture and a waste of time and precious moments to me.
@@featherlegs - I think about that too. It’s hard to live in the moment and truly enjoy a vacation or travel when you’re filming and editing 24/7.
Absolutely epic guys!
This series has been great... not only for the beauty of Vietnam... but also because y'all are so great about showing that you continue to prioritize your mental health needs and makes adjustments to your trip to take care of each other. I'm sorry that this leg was quite traumatic... I'm so glad that you all stopped and evaluated your needs and altered course to take care of yourselves even if it meant deviating from the plan.
You two are the luckiest couple alive… to be able to travel in such incredible beauty!
Thank you so much for a beautiful visit to Vietnam. I was there in 1966-1967 during the war. Quite a different experience but still the same beautiful Vietnamese countryside and people. So happy to see that the country has developed into a tourist destination. The Vietnamese people deserve the better life. Thank you for showing the RUclips world the beauty that I saw even during their difficult war years. Cheers!
Amen! Lovely comment - thank you for watching Mr. Hartwig!
Thank you for your service (?)
Such a beautiful comment.....after such a likely harsh experience. I'm so glad to read it!! Yay!! Vietnam!!! It's always been my favorite type of food also. I may have to get there!
Love this💓
Thank you for your service!
So sad, and my heart goes out to their families. Unfortunately, something that will stick in your minds for a while. Thank you for showing the beauty of Vietnam, and its people. Another brilliant series from you guys. We really look forward to your videos every week.❤❤❤❤❤❤ - Coreen
Never take anything for granted. None of us knows what is ahead of us. Keep living your best life.
Amen Steve!
I know this video is from your trip one year ago but I gotta say that I totally understand yalls desire to leave off the motor bikes. It’s true that once you see the result of the human carnage caused by motorized vehicles collisions you definitely can’t view riding a murder cycle as a positive thing. I’m proud that all of you knew you had to chuck the bikes and count your lucky stars for riding with your safety angels. No más. I was impressed by the closeup view of a semi-truck driven man after he collided with a train. I swear I saw his spirit leave his body as the volumes of his blood exited his body faster. Not something that is forgettable. Life force leaves very quickly in those instances. Quite the reminder to cherish wholeheartedly the important people/things in your life.
Oh that’s so sad! It really does put it into perspective- everything could be over so soon. Sending you both a big hug, I can’t imagine seeing something like that 😞
It was pretty harrowing, thanks Sam- a life lesson for sure!
I'm glad you guys made it through safe. It's not easy to witness something like that and realize how quickly things can take a wrong turn. I am happy you guys had an incredible and safe adventure and can't wait to see where you guys head off to next!!
This is the best representation I have ever seen of Vietnam!
My mother in law is from there and I’ve always wanted to see it, but every documentary or other show I’ve watched till now seemed like something big was missing. Now I know that it’s all the little things that you guys have shared and celebrated that show the soul of the country. I feel like I have finally visiting Vietnam! And, of course, now I want to visit in person so much more now!
Wow thanks so much for your lovely words mate! And yes, you should definitely go 😄❤️
My friend’s dad passed away in a motorcycle accident when he was vacationing in Vietnam. It is crazy how surprising and fragile life can be, taken away in moments.
Omg, no other youtubers can make you bawl your eyes out and the laugh your bum off in the same video, like you guys can! I really hope you're OK after witnessing such a devastating scene. Lots to be grateful for and all the more reasons for us all to rule our own worlds 🌎 xx
You guy’s teach us to appreciate life and every moment, thank you🙏
My 2 favourite people on RUclips you make my Sundays that much better!!!😃😃
Daniel your a legend pal!
I love that James & Chloe have joined in their antics. So fun!
How sad for those that died in that accident. I'm so happy you guys are safe and happy and have even already done the wheelie bin. I just couldn't with those outfits but that was an epic music video🤣🤣🤣 and the end was the ultimate end of an amazing journey
haha thank you mate - it was a good ending after the unfortunate incident.
I'm a van lifer and a biker and your spot on, never take anyone or anything for granted, it can all be gone in the blink of an eye. Stay safe guys, much love from Scotland as always.
I grew up with a grandfather that served in the military during the Vietnam war and I just never heard a lot of good but seeing the country through your view and edited videos really changed my perspective, so thank you. Life is so precious and fragile and while having that moment to truly treasure the life we have is still just so earth shattering and I am sorry you had to see that but you will continue your mission of ruling your own world to live on for those who were lost. This is old news but still sending a big hug and love that you all had each other in that moment and none of you had to see that alone.
p.s. I love Aimee's pink shades in the end.
Prayers to the family who lost the people that were on the bikes. I love you guys. Hugs from the USA 🇺🇸
Life is so fragile, I've seen a few fatal accidents trust me Craig and Aimee the memories will fade in time, just try not to recall the scene, it will be with you for a considerable time but the best thing that you can do is not to relate what you have been through sending you guys ❤ and take care.
Fantastic series. Thank you so much for taking us with you. I’m sorry it ended on a sad note but have them in my thoughts. Take care you two and stay safe and happy 😘
We understand the shock of seeing something like that. We have driven past 2 separate traffic accidents in Central America, where the bike drivers were killed. It truly makes you grateful for every moment.
Great adventure though you 2.
What an amazing journey that you shared w/us! I'm so glad you're finished and heading back home for your next adventure. My heart goes out to the four of you in the traumatizing accident you witnessed. Life can be very fleeting so we must make the most of every moment.
Love you all! Glad you decided to chill at the end. Lovely trip anyway! I'd never have seen anything like that without y'all driving and filming! Big hugs!
You all really know how to turn things around and still make the most of a trip! Glad you listened to yourselves ❤️
Oh man I'm bawling 😭 I'm so glad you made the smart decisions you did. The logistics involved in that trip was bonkers! 😳. Now on to the wheelie bin. 💪
It was a tricky one - but we got there in the end! haha - can't wait to edit the wheelie bin!
Thank you for taking us all along on this crazy ride through a beautiful country.
Today is hard day for me. Then I watched your video and I realized again why I love you two. You get the brevity of life and take it seriously. You make me smile even on a day when an unexpected wave of grief happens. Thank you!
I hope tomorrow is a better day for your Jeanette ♥️ things will always get better 😘
@@kingingit thank you. Just a yearly bump to go over. Some years the bump is a little bigger.
What a heck of a ride this one was, holy cows! Vietnam is oh so stunning and this series has been a rollercoaster. I'm so sorry you had to see that biker accident, really puts it all into perspective. I'm not new to being a passenger on a motorbike, as my partner rides one and I feel VERY safe with him, but I'm not too sure if I would be happy to be ridin' in the cities of Vietnam, that traffic gave me right on anxiety. I'm really proud of you of doing all of this and it's a little sad it had to end this way, but you def made the right choice. Great series! Looking forward to the bin challenge videos!
Thank you for taking us on this amazing adventure with you guys! So thankful you’re all safe and sound. Hope to see more of James and Chloe on future adventures with you.
Thank you to the four of you for bringing us along ! It was amazing ( obviously except for very sad and traumatic bit. Those poor people 😢😢). Xxxx ❤️❤️❤️ You are perfect examples of living your lives to the full xxx
Thank you so much for bringing us along!!! Looking forward to the next adventure 😀 😊
You two never disappoint! Another epic series. We are so blessed to have you recording and sharing the good times and the bad times, and part of your lives with us. It’s never easy going with you two, but that’s life isn’t it. I love you both, you’re all class!!
Always a legend ♥️ thank you x
Thank you guys for sharing! That was such a trip!! Glad the four of you made it home safe.
You are kinging this Vietnam journey! Worthy to be watched more than once!!
Very sad to hear what happened and the way you saw it Craig... hope you're doing okay!
I once stupidly decided to watch a man beheaded when I was a kid and it was traumatising to see and recall for a while after, but I can tell you Craig it does get easier to think about - time is the best thing here. You know how to enjoy your life and live for the moment, so let that be your distraction.
Feel for you two, so very sad. Thank you for sharing and a deep reminder you never know what could happen. Hugs to you all. Prayers you are well and prayers for your safety. 🙏🏻❤️
The fact you got someone to film you four coming through the doors and them open the doors for you 👏🏼😆👏🏼😆🤣🤣. Really respectfully documented team, glad you’re all safe xx
Love watching you guys go. What a perspective on a heartbreaking loss. Thanks for taking us along!
Carnage on the roads, in the UK I don't think a week goes by without passing a serious life changing or fatal crash.
The reality of if is slow down prepare to stop.
I sorry you saw that I only hope the relatives of those that were lost get to see this, if only to see the life they were living through you guys.
I was thinking that and so glad you said it, how could that be arranged as surely the families would want to see this and it may help with closure. Life can be so tragic....xx
@@Martin-sd8xr without the details of those that perished I doubt there is a way to contact them directly.
But you never know.... 6 degrees of separation maybe they will.
Excellent series on Vietnam, you guys are mad. On the tragedy, this happened to me, a couple on a bike sadly died literally seconds before we got there, the lass on the back of my bike was a nurse so we stopped to help, one was still alive (sadly passed on later), this was 40 years ago, we had to get back on the bike and carry on (middle of nowhere), not a great ride back after that. Still with me now and i still ride. Life is too short to worry about what may happen but i think you made the right decision. Thanks so much for taking us along with you.
Wow. Such an epic trip. So sorry for the accident you witnessed and my heart goes out to the families. Y’all make even the most difficult situations a positive opportunity for growth and sharing the love. I LOVED the hotel video/photo shoot! Honestly, I’d travel anywhere with you as I’d be assured an adventure of a lifetime with the full gamut of emotions and loads of good times. So happy you had amazing friends to participate in this journey with you!
Absolutely amazing vid series guys!!!! Soo sad about the tragedy. I know that can be an everlasting sight. Your whole trip (even with all its challenges) was a spectacular experience and an unforgettable ride!
Vietnam was an epic journey! I’m so heartbroken about those who lost their lives on the road. I’m glad you decided to take the bus in the end - and what a fashion show plus food tour! I’m glad at the end of your trip you salvaged things. Life is also for the living, and I’m glad you celebrated your lives in that way. It was a fitting tribute to those lives ended. We all must find joy while we are here. Much love to you all! 💗💗💗
What an epic trip and so special when you share it with friends. So nice that you honored your feelings and took the train and bus when you needed to. Thanks again for sharing.
Very proud of you all. Congratulations on you’re epic journey xx
I loved this Vietnam series....such a wonderful country. I am sorry you had to witness such an awful tragedy, you made the right decision, so glad you arrived safely!! Seeing something so awful changes you, it changes your whole outlook on life and you as a person. I know I am a different person after being with my son when he had a fatal heart attack just over two years ago. Life is so cruel......look after each other. I'm also going to miss Chloe & James, what great travel buddies. xx
Fantastic trip lads . Looking forward to more of your adventures x
this series truly captures the beauty of the whole of Vietnam. You guys are amazing, love all you do. Can't wait to see what your newest adventure entails!!
Brilliant vlog 👍 I’m so sorry that you saw that fatal accident, heartbreaking for everyone concerned. Stay safe guys xx
Can we also all talk about the HILARIOUS photo shoot music video?! I about died when y’all got in the elevator and just stood silently! The outfits were epic and I’m kinda sold on wanting my own version of Chloe’s! 🤣 And Craig’s twerk was impressive!
Yes! Epic mini series as per usual. Must of been a reeeettt mission to film it all. Ten points for you. Hope your both well. All the best - Munk
Thank you so much for taking us along your trip across Vietnam. What a beautiful country! I'm so sorry for the bikers that lost their lives and that you guys had to witness something so devastating. I hope you're healing from that experience. Also, Chloe and James are absolutely wonderful and are so much fun and positive energy. So glad they joined you on this adventure. More music videos and ridiculous outfits, please! Love you guys and safe travels!
That was a really fun series. I'm sad you are done there but can't wait to see where you end up next! Hope to see more of James amd Chloe, they fit well with you guys!
Thumbs 👍 up, guys. So proud of you. (from the old lady in the USA, watching you makes my heart sing)
What I loved about this series was that there were beautiful highs but also all the lows. We watched you struggle but also watched you grow. You did amazing :)
I lost my partner suddenly this year and have been watching your videos (old series to have some joy and new stuff cause you guys are so kind and caring and love each other and it nice to watch that - I miss it). It hit me like a ton hearing about the bikes. I wish everyday I somehow could have told my boyfriend more that I loved him (even though we did every day). Thank you for helping remind me to live, and bringing joy to a lonely person x
So great! Thanks for taking us along! 💕
What a trip, totally amazing, thanks for taking us along for the ride - Super Rad! All good decisions taken at the time when situations change - especially those super confronting too - its about the journey not the destination as they say, and you are always top notch honest. xx
A good reminder to each of us to remember as we plan our next adventure to remember that sometimes there are really SERIOUS consequences. Everyone has a level of risk taking they are happy or willing to do. So sorry you had that horrible experience, it’s a life experience that will shape and guide you as you go forward. Prayers for you going forward.
Absolutely LOVED this series! Thank you so much for sharing it - even the hard parts! 💕
Even though you met sadness at the end of this trip, the last montage made me smile wide. Thanks for sharing your life and adventures with us. Looking forward to the next one.
thank you for taking us on your journey. Really looks like a phenomenal place.
I'm 29, and I can still vividly remember the one time I saw a fatality crash as a kid. We were in a line of cars on the highway being usher passed the accident, emergency services must have just arrived because the people who had died weren't covered, the paramedics were working on a lady. I was still pretty young, probably about 10, and I my mom told me in such a harsh sharp voice not to look, and she never used that tone with us. Exactly like you said Craig, just on sheer morbid human curiosity instinct itched at my brain, and I looked. The part that haunted me was this big straw beach hat, laying in the midst of all this carnage. I developed a terror of driving and didn't learn till I was 20. Even now, when I have to commute to the next city my palms break out into a sweat and I can point out the exact spot on the Highway where it happened. I'm so glad you guys listened to your instincts and took the bus, when your in that place it is not safe to be on the road. Plus for the love of Pete you earned the freaking legroom!! Love you guys, keep crushing life!
omg that pool!! You made the right decision even without the bad weather. When it stops being fun and you are over tired and overwhelmed it is time to change the plan. Thank you so much for sharing Vietnam with us all. I love to travel with you all.
Thankful you’re safe but sad for the trauma that can’t be unseen. Appreciate your honesty and sensitivity. Peace.
Another fabulous series! Thank you so much for all the smiles. You guys are amazing.
Your empathy for these poor people and their families is so dear. May you always be safe on your travels.
So sorry you saw this - must have really shook you all up - glad you had a few days to relax in the city .
What an incredible series this has been , fun , inspiring and interesting . Thankyou for sharing x
This was a fantastic series on Vietnam. Glad you all safe. Look forward to your new adventure.

amazing guys!!! the all series was fun, emotional and super beautiful to watch!!! well done you guy. thank you so much also for showing us that tragic moment, life is just a blink of an eye. sending you both lot of love! 🥰
I’m sorry you had to witness that crash. My heart goes out to those people who lost their lives and their families. I have however loved watching this adventure! You’ve been so entertaining to watch and I would love to do something like this myself! Thank you for sharing!❤
Loved it guys!!! Gonna miss Chloe & James on your videos! We’re so sorry you had to witness such an awful accident, it is most certainly humbling and makes you feel utterly appreciative of all our loved ones 🥰 Take care in future rides! We’ve been doing our CBT this weekend and it’s so fun but soo hot with all the gear 🥵
Oh my I’m sending you all a virtual boost of strength, love and thank you for the ability to convey your emotional side to convey this situation. You were there for a reason, it could have done just what it has, put any Willy milky driving in the back seat and the chance to remind us all just how precious our lives are and how quickly it could go nuclear on us.

I've ridden bikes all my life and seen other people take crazy risks , you can also be the best rider in the world but it doesn't mean anything if other drivers make mistakes, stay safe guys your living your best life , much love ❤ 💙 ♥ 💗 💕 💖 ❤ I forgot to say thank you for sharing your journey I've loved every minute of it , your the 👌 best

What a fun fun trip we all had 😁💕🤗
Thanks so much for the share.
On to the next adventure
Laughed and cried. Amazing trip, and footage. Stay safe. X
Wow what a journey! We've really enjoyed this series, so sad the note it ended on for you guys, that must have been so hard. But so many great memories to make it worth it ❤️ thanks for opening our eyes to this stunning country, it wasn't somewhere we'd really thought about and now it's made it's way to the top of our list 😍
Geeze guys! I’m sorry you had to see that! At the end of such an epic trip! Thinking of you all! 💜
I'm so glad you stopped and took the bus. xxx Excellent series!!
Amazing series, thoroughly enjoyed. RIP to the biking brothers and sisters taken too soon 😥 Miles x
Throughly agree, just amazing in Vietnam! You really did awesome.
I too am so sorry about those bike riders who lost their lives. Damn.
I ride a Harley Davidson since 2004 and I understand. I ride thinking they cannot see nor hear me. I only ride fast on roads I’m familiar and am almost certain no moose nor deer 🦌 will dart in front of me. So far so good but I ride very defensively.
PS I was a driver guide in Alaska so well trained. 👍🏻♥️
So sad for all of you to see such a tragedy and so near the end. But, what a fantastic high you left us with which made it a fun packed HCMC. Hope your trip home was the best it could be.
Have loved this series! An absolutely mad adventure! One for the history books. Can’t wait for what’s next!
I most likely would not have ever seen Vietnam. Thank you for taking me there and sharing the good and the bad. Y'all are just so real. I love your channel. 🤗
Go wherever y'all want - we'll go with you. ❤️
Thanks for showing the raw emotions of traveling (and life). I'm sorry y'all had to live through that though. I'm glad overall Vietnam was a great. I'd love to. go!
So pleased and so envious of your amazing time in Vietnam! Had a good laugh as always! Time for a trip to South Africa and a visit to Johannesburg to say hello Love you guys! 🤗❤🙏
Excellent series of videos! Sorry you had to come across the accident but that put you into perspective for the rest of the trip. Take care and enjoy your trip back home.
I have LOVED watching this series and living this adventure through your eyes. You really captured every emotion through your videography. It's been an absolute pleasure to watch 😀
I was equally excited and terrified for you on much of this journey. What an epic trip👍😊
Thanks for caring Bobby 😄❤️❤️
Ah this was Amazing. How hard for you all what you saw, I’m so sorry for those lost souls. Yep, live life to the full.
You cracked on, Stunning scenery and the food looks amazing and so healthy.
Loved watching you all. X
I know the realization of “it can be gone in a second” my mother died from a car accident. I can’t describe the shock that you get when you hear that news. I pray you always have safe journeys.
