  • (Recorded 07/16/2019). These are the beyond comprehension fast high rise elevators at the Westin Peachtree in Atlanta. They are keyed off but I was staying here so I had a key and was able to ride! These are VERY nice and fun elevators!

They need to eliminate the 72 floor button(s) in each high rise guest elevator cab because they never work no matter what.

Yeah there’s really no point of the 72 button being there. The only elevators you can access it are from the glass elevators

I think these elevators need to be modernized with OTIS Compass 360 to enhance passenger traffic efficiency because of HORRIBLE wait times.

They recently smart key carded them.

YES I know and that is WAY too desperate a means of security

@@StormC9101 I thought just the normal key card was good enough. It's like. Nobody will break into your room because people know not to do that. So a key card reader in an elevator is just dumb.

To be honest these should be faster. 1200 Fpm for 70 floors is a bit so slow & these do get quite busy.

I have seen after onces in a 18 floor hotel. It was a 1990s Mitsubishi.

They’re not necessarily fast for 70 stories but they are extremely fast in general, I mean, they go 1200 fpm. Personally, I don’t think they could have them go much faster because I have a feeling if they were any faster than they are then that’d probably be too much for most passengers.

@@StormC9101 that is true but hotels are normally good at making elevators go the speed necessary & it is often at hotels where you find insane speeds for the distance they travel. These should be going 1400 Fpm maximum & minimum.

I agree. I didn't get to film these during my visit to Atlanta.

@@elevcarwashsirensandmore21 it wouldn’t have mattered. These elevators since this video have been SMART-keyed which means even if you’re staying at the hotel, you can only access the floor your room is on, which is absolutely RIDICULOUS, but sadly thanks to all the stupid people out there, security measures for many hotels like this one have skyrocketed
