@@americanmade7231 Yes, for high beam color matches low beam, and also it will enhance the vision when you power on the high beam.
7:38 I cannot, for the life of me, get the dust cover to come off. I guess I can’t get the leverage to turn it. Any advice?

Looks easy enough, however I found the easiest solution is to drive my Caddy right through the front window display at the dealership, at night, and say opps....I didn't see your building cause I had my Low Beams on!!
Lololol I understand your frustration.. I had to replace replace my mothers headlight assembly on her 2014 SRX Cause changing the headlights won’t fix it since headlight casing is defective straight from the factory.. both headlights were about $400.. there’s a video on RUclips that shows step by step how to remove the front bumper in order to remove and install your new lights.. it’s pretty simple to do took me about 2 hrs.. beats paying the dealership $2500

Man, I just replaced my bulbs. Your video was a great help but this was way more difficult than I imagined. Bolts and parts were fighting me every step of the way.
I had a lengthy conversation with a service tech at my local dealership about this issue. He said the dimming of the lights is not a bulb problem, but a deterioration in the mirrored surface inside the reflector. The only solution is to replace the entire headlight assembly.

I was about to try this myself I’m glad I watched this video I will have someone do it for me way too complicated for a bulb change.
Great video. Helped me replace my bulb. Be aware that if you have the Adaptive Forward Lighting (AFL) the removal of the bulb is a little different. You twist counter clockwise to remove the bulb connector but then the bulb itself is held by a clamp. At first I removed the screw holding the clamp but then realized that if you just squeeze the clip the bulb is no longer held in and you can just remove easily. I just comes out. Note how it comes out because there is a notch that has to line back up to insert the new bulb. Also note that these bulbs are not inexpensive. My local GM dealership wanted $212 and would have to special order. The local GM was very helpful and provided me a part number. The Parts guy suggested a less expensive alternative would be a local parts store where I found it at $99. This is a moderately easy repair that can be accomplished by watching this video a couple of times and patience. Thx

My 13 srx had a 3rd bolt outside the air intake. My whole box was difficult to pull put. Had to fight it for a while. Also gave up. Yours is not the exact same tightness. This video did help me, thanks!

You failed to say, you have to replace all 4 bulbs low beam and high beam. The drivers side high beam is a major pain. I had to take the battery cover and connector and the battery and battery box. I could then just barely fit my hand in and got light cover and light bulb and replaced it with the Led bulb. Putting the back cover back on is a major pain. There is plenty in the way and no way to move it without taking front clip off. Barely have two fingers in and thank God made this work getting dust cover on and in place. It took me about 6 hrs to do all this. I was not happy.
If you RUclips it you are supposed to remove the bumper to install/replace the headlights
this video sucks. its easier to take the front bumper and grill off to replace the lights, takes about 20 minutes. Also, this does NOT fix the issue with the Caddy headlights (low beams). The WHOLE assembly has to be replaced.
@@m.shannon9098 your right on all counts the lights are a little better but still does not fix the problem as you said. These vehicles should have all been recalled and replaced. This model, I have had to replace touch control screen, wheel bearings, headlight ( that are still crappy), batteries twice, remotes twice. I have also replace routine stuff. This has been the worst car that I ever had except for a GMC Envoy. I really am amazed that no one has got killed or killed someone with these headlights. I think they are around $1900.00 upgrade headlights. Everything 2015 and down are now under recall through the lawsuit.

Replaced touch screen, replaced 4 bulbs low and high problem hub and is coming another suspension recall for this stupid car only 38000 miles.

One.of the problems with the headlights on this vehicle is not always the bulk but the housing itself is bad. The only way to fix this is get a whole new headlight assembly. Which you will have to.remove the bumper to do this.
So a well known issue with this 2013 srx is the low beam reflector inside the sealed headlight assembly gets too hot and melts the shinny surface from the reflector, my question is if i replace bulbs with your led bulb's will headlight be bright once again
Holy crap. Passenger side was fairly easy but the driver side? O dear. Fuse box was definitely an issue and if you have manly hands no way you're going to enjoy changing out that bulb. My bulbs come on Monday and I'm not sure what to expect when replacing them.. It's a tight area to work in.
What's the expected lifespan of the Alla LEDs?
Aren't those lights supposed to have an LED strip up the sides? That's what I want. But they aren't very bright and just blur together with the other lights
Please send bulb option for the high beams as well as the low beams
You say Safer, Smarter, Brighter, but how would we know? You didnt show us any comparisons. You just showed how to put the lights in, kind of. If I'm going to buy your lights, I want to KNOW they are brighter and better.

No replacing the whole headlight housing will fix the issue...the inside of the headlight bowl is what goes bad.
Cadillac SRX 2016 and below models are known for lack of lights , very dimm when driving with head lights. Will this fix that issue?
DO you refer to the fog lights dim or the low beam headlight? and is it LED or not? Please advise for further assistance, thanks in advance.

Does the same LED bulb goes. in the passenger and driver side housing??? I know one is supposed to be Low Beam and the other is High Beam... Does the same bulb fit both?

No, for low beam, just plug and play, easy installation.

you don`t just pull the two fuses that are in the way out then it is much easier
I installed LED bulbs. Still cannot see very well at night. They are very expensive but do very little to increase night visibility. Sorry I purchased an SRX The car itself is really nice to drive. Night driving is a real safety hazard.

Yes, but my 2014 was a little different. There arew 3 screws for the air filter box. The third is going to the frame by the bottom hose. Secondly, the screws are T27, not 25, at least on a 2014

Sorry, we feel a litlte confused about your question, the issue happend on the bulb, right? if no light up on the bulb, maybe the version you purchased are polarity type, please flip bulb's female plug 180 degrees and try to plug into the stock harness again, and it will fix the issue. They did do the driver side low beam. High beam on drivers side requires tge battery to be removed, and battery disconnection requires reprogramming by the manufacturer.
First of all... its not as easy as it seems. There's no room for your hands at that fuse box and the dust box qas a BITCH getting it back in to place
cadillac is supposed to be a name that stands for luxury and safety, yet they don't even put a decent set of low beam headlights on a car.
