You know i watch another channel and he is always getting and riding new bikes, he said the same about being aggressive, he said the front could breakaway unless you have some weight on the front wheel but he only weighs 140, fast and excellent rider though. I am just a blue trail rider but been looking at a 2022 130 T-2 XO build, in that beautiful watermelon color, thats $8200.00 and with the COVID nonsense they dont negotiate much if at all but resale means a LOT too. Sold my 2019 RM Instinct BC about 6 months ago and thinking of either the 115 or 130, right now both of the top end builds available.
Great review. I just ordered 2020 SB130 LUNCHRIDE. I’m 5’10 in a half 165lb. I ordered a Large. Think it will be too big? What size do you have how tall are you?
Brakes have actually worked better than expected, I know people were having trouble with the guide brakes early last year and I've had a set of shimanos in my parts box that I planned to put on since I got the bike but never saw the need to because the brakes actually held up great. As for the wheelset, I have actually been really happy with it. The engagement on the hub isn't anything special but DT hubs last FOREVER and the rims are quite stiff and durable for the price. So ultimately no major complaints aside from the level of engagement from the hub.
guru khalsa for slow - medium speed tech your looking at anything with short wheelbase and short chain stays. Depending on your wheel size preference some of my favorites to look into are the Intense Primer, Pivot 429, Rocky Mountain Slayer 2019 27.5, or the Trek Remedy. There’s tons of other bikes that do great in slow speed tech as well but those are the ones that I’ve personally ridden and been impressed with. Thanks for the question and thanks for watching!
@@shralpcity1198 awesome thanks! I have a hook up on a YETI so debating the SB 100 / 130 / 140... not looking to race but just have fun on 10-20 mile rides and explore norcal more... but I love to do little jumps... so was thinking 130 for overall. THANKS!
guru khalsa 140 might be the move due to the wheelsize, it’s gonna feel like a smaller bike than it is. While the 130 due to its wheelsize and overall length is gonna feel bigger than it is. Just something to keep in mind
Both are gonna jump and ride great it’s really just about how much rider input is required to get the bike to do what you want. Bigger bike = more rider input required or vice versa. Have fun man you’ll be stoked on whatever you get
No notable issues with pedal strikes! Also if you are having issues with pedal strikes currently I would urge you to give 170mm or even 165mm cranks a shot see if that makes the difference. I am running 165mm on my new bike and I have been loving it! Thanks for the question and for supporting the channel!
Yep! This thing handled every single trail at trestle. You def have to pick your line a bit more on trails like trestle DH and mountain goat but you hang on and pick smart lines, your golden.
Sounds like you would fit a large sb130 but Yeti’s run a bit larger than some other brands. If you wanted to go XL on a yeti you totally could cause your on the very bottom end of the spectrum for and XL or top end of the spectrum for a large. Unless you really want an extra stable bike for straight lining stuff I think you would probably enjoy the large more just because if you fit both, the smaller size is gonna be that much more maneuverable. Especially since it’s a trail bike and not an enduro race rig
Just paid 8K Canadian for the 2021.. very stoked to ride these Canadian Rockies.. great review and hello from Calgary!

What have you thought of the M1900 wheelset and guide brakes on the bike? Any problems with the wheelset? Brakes strong enough?

What are some better bikes for slow - medium speed tech at your mention @8:40 ? Like the SB 100?

Any problems with the low BB? Pedal strikes are driving me crazy

what were you riding at trestle on that bike? can it handle rainmaker, trestle dh, space ape etc?
