I remember clearly when Tavarish didn't had a lot of subscribers and I was one of them, I was watching him, and he said in a video that he is going full time RUclips and everyone in the comments said: "THIS IS A MISTAKE" "DON'T DO IT" . This proves again follow your dream and keep going!
Yeah, I joined in when he was working on his 3000GT on his parents driveway/garage and remember when he sold it and bought his first place in Florida. So glad he got that car back.
I remember him working in his parents driveway too. The 3000gto, the soarer, his daily driver S500 that he put a towbar on when he moved to florida. Boy's done good.
Thank you for mentioning on your main channel that you also have the podcast channel - it's so good to be able to listen to you. Subscribed immediately LOL
the one build that really drew me to Freddy's channel was the 675LT built, super exciting, never missed an episode since then and now the P1 is even more insane! he never dissapoints, always interesting and top notch quality while also being wholesome!
Listening to the full podcast now, 2 guys that are so easy to listen to and funny. Shame the full podcast isnt a video as you do get more out of it by watching you chat as much as just listening.
I’m the other way round - when I’m listening to a podcast its typically when I can’t view something - so having audio only or audio first is great. Annoying when some podcasts (like LTT’s WAN show) kind of present as if you can see - which isn’t great when you’re just listening
Listened via Spotify last night , well this morning , couldn't sleep. Great listen, would rather watch the video can see facial.expressions and body language. Which is part of the fun. Can't wait for the next one. Full videos next time please
Jalopnik is also a friend to the 24 Hours of Lemons racing league in the US, where we race completely crap cars for a 24 hour endurance race, and we concentrate on safety and silliness WAY more than making fast cars. it is the single best racing league on earth i absolutely love Freddie and his friends and his friend's channels. great content, a lot of fun!
I think it was Pimp my ride video that made me sub to Tavarish. He seems a fairly cool guy its been nice seeing him Collab with UK youtubers such as yourself and Matt Armstrong. Been a very good year for the car youtube scene.
I remember finding Freddie before the Lambo when he was manual swapping an SL55AMG and that sold me on his content. It's been awesome to see his growth and content evolve over that time too, especially with how genuine he seems to be and comes across in his videos - very everyman kind of style I think. Either way, definitely deserves the accolades he's earned in the content creation sphere, and I do have to say how much I love CarTrek too! Can always do with more series of that!
Listened to the full podcast this morning on audio and it is excellent. You are better than Top Gear. That has gone downhill since it stopped with Clarkson and co, and to be honest their Grand Tour isn't quite as good as it was at the start. I think they have all moved on a bit since then. Alex you are still climbing and I hope it continues. Love all of your videos and output. Keeps me sane!!
Loving these super long podcasts 👌🏼 I love behindtheglass but always find them frustratingly short, I like to listen to these sorts of things with headphones while at work
been watching freddy for a few years now, great guy, and your own stuff to alex, although im a fairly new subscriber to you, your content is hilarious and entertaining, so thanks for that
I was so close to something similar back in 2003ish. Fixing and modding cars, made a website for reference material, joined forums, just spreading knowledge. I just never thought to monetize it...
Great podcast, very interesting and entertaining. Although I have never seen 3 blokes breathing oot their arse so bad, Alex especially almost needs matchsticks for his eye, been a heavy time no doubt. Keep it up guys, good work!
I like Tavarish's work & had been following for a few years, but this year twice there was a couple of shorts videos featuring the McLaren P1 which had misleading clickbait titles which I wasn't impressed with, so I've sort of stopped watching him. He has over 2.67M subscribers & his last video had 2.3 million views, so he doesn't need a misleading title really to draw an audience. This has been a great, enjoyable podcast with Tavarish & learning about his beginnings.
There are a few channels where they put misleading clickbait shorts and thumbnails and I stopped watching them. You can tell when a channel believes they have made it as they start doing that. 1 video a while back did explain why and it seems in the modern RUclips world, you can get to a point with skill then if you want to keep growing, clickbait out weighs the losses to get views.
@@dannyseville2543 I agree with what you said but I prefer channels to be open & genuine. If you have so many subscribers, views, in-house ads, sponsors & Patreon, you don't need clickbait shorts or videos.
Any news if tavarish will be able to finish his black fire damaged ferrari ? The one that was going to be converted from convertible to hard to top :) that thing was looking nice
Reasons you will grow on RUclips, follow your passion and be real, as soon as you start trying to fool people or fake who you are this place will eat you alive, so many youtubers fall for that trap, hope he keeps a good spine, and even though we all know he puts a RUclips face to everything at least it's a decent one.
i suspect it's a return on (time) investment thing. money made on the easy 90% of a build. The final 10% is more tricky/time consuming and doesn't make enough comparatively
@michaelhoolahan5717 yeah I understand that but it's the same every time pump out the content regularly initially then it just goes sporadic and the views die off because people have lost interest/forgotten about it
Just finished listening to the full episode - loved it! I can totally see Alex, Taylor & Tavarish on a rebooted Top Gear. It's due a total revamp (have you seen the boring pre Clarkson 80's version 😂). If the BBC gave you creative freedom to do your own vision it would definitely work. Just needs to be fresh and bring the energy and fun of what you all do on RUclips!
@@Autoalexv2will ShedFest be an annual thing? I really wanted to go this year but I’m just putting my life back together after leaving the Military and my new (to me) car needs bodywork before I’d want to bring it to a car meet.
He does everything, all the editing. He works is a$$ off which is probably why his marriage ended. He's very watchable and very hard working and intelligent.
@tavarish it tuck me 3 days to fix a snapped bolt in an aluminium block snapped the injector bolt tightened it a little to much lol and I fix cars all the time 😂 probably shouldn’t have tuck me so long but it just kept getting worse anyway I can see how it takes a long time to fix a P1 lol
$60k seems an insane amount of money for a staff writer, compared to UK journalism salaries. I guess you've got health insurance etc to pay on top, but interesting to hear none the less. First staff writer job in the UK I had was about £20k, and seen less in the automotive world.
Peak top gear made the presents a lot more than £1m a year ... it was sold all over the world and sure they owned the rights of Top Gear ...I know Clarkson owns or owned 30%
Hmm I’m confused. Is this video podcast or not. Yesterday I checked RUclips for the podcast, not there so have committed to listen them on Spotify to see parts of them on here in video?! Sigh
I remember when Tavarish was writing for Jalopnik and somebody found out he was running a alt-right/far-right wing clickfarm called "Yes I'm Right". Such a genuine guy.......
The funny thing is the mega-exotic builds leave me cold. I love the Autoalex stuff because us poor folk can (realistically) aspire to his builds/fuck-ups.

Bull shit. Nobody ever commented saying "don't do it" when tavarish said he was going full time. Why are you making lies up for no reason? 😂
Don't beg it
I first subscribed when Tavarish just got Doug Demuro's Aston Martin!
I remember him working in his parents driveway too. The 3000gto, the soarer, his daily driver S500 that he put a towbar on when he moved to florida.
Boy's done good.
The real reason Tavarish blew up the you tube is , because he is a very decent down to earth genuine person. We love his character
Agreed
💯
So glad the podcasts are back. Used to love listening to them in CT so glad Alex got podcasts going on his channel.
Love the RUclipsr origin stories - unbelievable that Tavarish still records & edits content, gives me hope 😂
Fantastic listening to him talk like this, you're a great host Alex letting the guest talk and asking the right questions 👍👍
I really don’t watch podcasts but for some unknown reason I’m glued to the screen watching Alex’s!

Tavarish on AutoAlex is like going Jalopy full circle for me. So happy🎉
Hi Alex & Team
Great content as always cant get enough of you guys
Awesome 👌
very inspiring interview and alex, taylor and rory need a tv slot as top gear needs this in the future or another car program.
I have never seen a @tavarish episode before. 😱Just realised I have a year of content to watch after now watching all of @AutoalexCars 🤙

Freddy retweeting you is the reason I subscribed before I saw a video. That and you said a lot of shitboxes were coming.
When I started watching you tube tavarish and his lambo build was keen watching first you tube rabbit hole moment 😅😂
How'd you make me focus on a podcast 32 minutes 53 seconds?
You're the best at asking interesting questions Alex!

Did not go that well with Channing 😂.

Alex - Freddy's saying that even editing software can't do anything abut your face 😅
Is there no full video podcast available or is it just highligts?
I watched tavarish's videos from silver Aston Martin days
Is that website still live id be interested in looking at it
I was actually worried when tavarish take too much time to release the video.because i use to think there may be something wrong
