@@NotThatQuick Grammar Nazis of the world unite. Need your opinion. I'm a low B on pad & don't seem to be progressing much now. I'm old skool using buttons for break (hee hee) & throttle though. Tried using the right stick for first time last night & yes I was slower, but not by much, & most errors were muscle memory issues. I liked the feel of gradually increasing the throttle in sketchy corners, but don't know if this will ultimately be any quicker than the buttons method. What would you recommend? Cheers.
@SteeeveO the gradual method will ultimately be quicker.. I'd stick with the stick/triggers and practice.. it'll help you improve, it'll take some practice but once you get it.. you'll be way more consistent bud
Great content. I remember being told trail braking is like having some rope attached from wheel to braking foot. As you turn wheel it lifts foot off brake :)
Thank you for these. I've been playing GT7 (it's my first in the series ever) for about a year now, on controller, and it wasn't until the last month or so that I really dug in and tried to figure out why this game was so frustrating to me. These kinds of videos help so much, and the tips apply even on controller. I'm still D rated (SR is S tho) but I'm slowly but surely starting to qualify better, get better grid position, stay out of the back o' pack gladiator battles, and get top 8, top 5 finishes. My next goal is hopefully start grtting podium finishes, and get that rating up. Thank you so much for helping us little guys out here who just want to enjoy the game and be competitive.
I was D for ages (now B) - biggest improvement was when I finally realised that you have to go manual on the gear changes, auto is so slow - so if you haven't already, that's what I would focus on.
@SteeeveO Rubbish, Tidgney did a video on comparing manual vs auto and it made little difference. I've made it to B using auto. The best way to be quick is technique, lines and braking.
@floatingpeaks4584 just because ONE person says something, doesn't make it gospel. What works for tidgney may not work for someone else. I'm very much quicker in manual.. so it's not rubbish at all bud
@@NotThatQuick I suspect this chap hasn't ever driven a short shifter like the Veyron, or needed to hang onto a gear going into a braking zone.........I'm sure if he had used manual shifts he would be on the world tour by now! Cheers.
Great work as always! In fact, the video is so good I won’t even give you a hard time for not firstlymaking one with you throwing shapes and/or the neighbour’s back doors.
For some reason when I drop to first gear the car spins out. I can’t keep up with the other cars. I am definitely driving incorrectly. But I don’t know where I’m going wrong at the moment. I will keep trying.
After this I hope to go from not that quick to not too quick. So pleased you used the word "braking" & not "breaking" like many others!
😂😂 I'm glad it's not just me that finds the word breaking frustrating!

@@NotThatQuick you should change your handle to actually quite quick, that was a rapid reply.......cheers mate.
Yes braking!!!

@MrKlumzy_GT7 exactly that bud! It took me ages to get it right! Appreciate the feedback 🙏
Trail braking is so hard on controller. Getting that left trigger to ease up. But I'm learning that nuance is everything in this game.
@MikeOzmun I remember i really struggled to do it on controller.. its definitely not easy

Ahhh man.. thank you for the comment! I'm still learning myself, so it's nice to share what I find out with people like me🙏 it's all about enjoyment!

@@mpyeager ahhh that video is coming at the weekend😉
Great vid mate! Really helpful!
@ScootMcNoot thank you bud! Really appreciate it! Catch you in the lobbies at the weekend bud!
I find ABS better on weak instead off default little bit more lap time & more consistent into corners
@@ExodiaNecross2 yea I use weak abs as well but I’m on controller off might be better on pedals idk
@ExodiaNecross2 I've tried both, but for the 911 I found it less likely lock up, I guess it's a personal preference
@hamza.991 I'm on controller too
@NotThatQuick on default I'm finding it inconsistent on the brakes & no lock ups on weak
I prefer weak too and I'm quicker, Special with the Porsche, but right it's a personal preference. Still a good and interesting video 👍
This is a good video!!
Nice one mate 👍✌
@Twyst_GT thank you sir! Looking forward to catching you over the weekend!
Great work neil
@ianw8611 always appreciated mate🙏
Dont forget the Soft tyre Bug on Controller. Last Update make tyre wear better for Controller, but make them also slower. See u on track all😮
I didn't know this! Thanks for the heads up bud
Why is the lamborghini in Gr.3 allowed have its final gear ratio tuned with in BOP in lobby's. Is that the only Gr.3 car thats able too do that?
@ExodiaNecross2 I had no idea that is a thing! I would imagine it's a glitch that PD aren't aware of
I'm not sure if it is a glitch or not

Keep the tyres pointing straight.
Could you also make such a video for the Le Mans track ? I think I could use a tip and trick on that circuit
@patrickvrolijk7120 absolutely! Stay tuned!
@ thanks. I am playing GT7 for 6 months now. When is the best time to going to shift the gear myself ? I am driving with a controller
Tip to win is be right place and be aggressive
@JeffWeselyan not sure i agree.. if you're slower than the rest of the grid, then you'll never be in the right place surely?
@@NotThatQuick that for drafting be right place be agressive
I don't understand why gran turismo players think that traction control or abs makes you slower whan real GT drivers use it😂😂
Troll video title
I looked after my tires, and still came in dead last. So please consider updating your other video. Thanks!
What part of it needs updating?
Great video this is is is LoL ❤
