Always appreciated this authentic eye into past styles of clothing. 🧡
Chick at 14 seconds had big bucks for all those mega pleats!
Pierced ears have been around a long time and lovely dangly earrings.
It would have been better if you spent more time on the photograph and less time on their names
Thanks
Lindas !!
It looks as though this photographer had jewelry and gloves that the women who didn't own any could use. I see many of these women in these photos wearing the same gloves and jewelry. :)
Good eye!
Non c' è speranza, ora lo so, ma dimmi ,Chubachus, ti prego, questo Matthew Brady era forse un appassionato di " polpi di scoglio?". Vabbè,stanotte mi tocca un sonnifero
Que mulher bonita !
I wish know about her lives. And see the portraits in color. How you got these?. Thanks!! I love the Victorian Era.
carmen carrillo Me, too!☺️✝️⚜️
Why do they never smile
Length of pose
It took a minute for the photo and holding a pose and fake smile, even just for a minute, was difficult. That's why stands were used to help hold a pose. Smiling was also considered undignified and an indication of mental illness or intoxication.
@@irisheyesofbelfast "and an indication of mental illness or intoxication" Thus contemporary photo habits are quite fitting for our times.
I don't believe that at all . Those were years of very hard times for everyone. The economy was horrible and people suffer including people well of a lot also those dresses we very uncomfortable for them 😕. Smiles were out of the question. What I do admire is the beauty of this ladies NO MAKEUP !! need it.
