Yes you are correct! It is an Ode to John Williams.They only had nine people in the group for this when there is normally 11 people in the group. They do not need to layer in the studio, because they got that all covered. They don't use autotune or pitch control either, because they want to sound the same live as they do in the studio and vice versa.I got to see them in February and at times they set their microphones down on the floor and sang just acoustically and it was incredible. They are the golden standard and are truly the wall of sound.All of them have sung for the voices of Liberty at Epcot Center in Disney World Florida. That is where they got their training to be able to blend so well .

(Yes, Disney Love Medley with Kirstin is amazing) Also, VoicePlay did an ACA Top Ten Movie Medley with Rob from Home Free and you would enjoy that as well. Also, not sure if you recognized EJ Cardona here but he has collaborated with VoicePlay a couple of times (I Can’t Make You Love Me/Go the Distance) and he is Omar Cardona’s brother 😅

That first soprano on the left is the fabulous Kate Lott. She sings with the Voices of Liberty at the American Pavillion in EPCOT at WDW, Orlando when she is not with Voctave. I have met her a couple of times and she is as gracious and charming as she is talented. Voctave's founder is Jamey Ray. He arranges all of their music. As you look at the men of Voctave, he is second from the left, or the middle tenor.
Voctave sings a lot of Broadway and pop standards and has collaborated with some great guest artists. ❤

2:58 the guy on the right here is EJ Cardona, Omar Cardona’s (regular Voiceplay collaborator) brother.
You might remember seeing EJ in Voiceplay’s “Can’t make you love Me” and he also collabed on their cover of Hercules “Go the distance”.
Not recommending/requesting 😂 just a little background of the interlinking histories between a lot of these vocal groups.
Also how amazing is John Williams?! He has literally had his hand in so many of the biggest cinematic movies of all time!

Voctave is absolutely the underrated force in acapella. They're like ptx on a different level but without the big contract and publicity. There have been individual collabs with VoicePlay; notably EJ Cardona and multiple guest shots in VoicePlay's Just Sing during the pandemic.

Welcome to the Voctave Rabbit Hole! its awesome! Every few weeks i search You Tube for new reactions to Voctave because they are one of my favorite groups and i came across your reaction.
This video was technically put out i believe before theu were officially Voctave and they went from 8 to 11 members now. All are current or previous members of the Voices of Liberty at Epcot in Disney world. So if you are familiar with Disney movies or musicals, thier music will inspire you like no other group. Related to this video i strongly suggest the Disney Princess Medley and the Disney Heroes and Villians medley to hear each of the groups distinct and wonderful voices. (i am not able to contibute right now to Patreon and i would be broke wanting to help all the great reactors and channels but knowing Voctave fans if they requested this one....i am sure they will request these two as well) This was my first time visiting i believe to yourself channel. your reaction was great.
