      Hi, yes we have several other videos for modeling, meshing & analysis, etc. Please refer our channel #graspengineering

    hello sir and thanks for your useful video , i just have a question , how i choose the mode shape that affect the whole structure with the
    damping coefficeints obtained ? and how i find the period for that specific mode shape ?

    • @graspengineering9249

      Hello, you need to check the respective global mode shape vibration, mass participation factors to find out the critical mode shape which will affect the whole modal.

    Thank you for your video. I wanted to ask you if you could please explain how you import your mesh in APDL ?

      Welcome and thank you.
      In APDL you can import cdb, dat or inp file. You can write dat file or simply connect APDL with workbench in main window, it will connect automatically.

    Hello, I am testing a vibration fixture with base excitation. I did modal analysis with 6 mode shapes of the fixture and the natural frequencies start around 2000 so no Resonance as such but now I am not sure how to give inputs of frequency which I want for base excitation. The frequency increases from 50 Hz to 500 Hz in single direction with a constant 10g acceleration. Can you please guide me ?

      If you looking for harmonic response in the range of 50 to 500 hz, then you can define this as frequency range and apply 10g loads as mentioned in video. If you are using workbench there also you have option to define frequency range in analysis setting.

      @@graspengineering9249 Yes, I defined acceleration and frequency in the solver today. I had to input in tabular form, got results but not sure how to interpret the results. I will share the results as Google drive link, please kindly advice what you can interpret from those results.

    I want to insert a complex geometry (I'm doing a wing for competition). How can I import my geometry for making modal analysis cause it is very specific? Thanks from Brazil.

      In every software you have option to import the geometry. Like in design modeler you can import external geometry and then define the path.

    how can i find frequency for glass with ansys APDL?

    • @graspengineering9249
      @graspengineering9249  5 лет назад

      You can use glass material for the object you are analyzing and do modal analysis, you will get natural respective frequencies.
