How much do you want to bet that this scrapped line is why the characters in Sonic Forces decided to use Wispons instead of searching for the Chaos Emeralds?
I’ve always thought that Eggman’s ‘Chains’ connecting the planets, should have been powered by the chaos emeralds, with Sonic collecting them along the way. Having Super Sonic fight the final boss just feels so right. Finally we see it. This is perfection.
Super Sonic + Final Colour Blaster is one of the closest alternatives we've had to having Hyper Sonic in the modern games, outside of a Hyper Sonic mod.

Also no,the Mega Death Egg Robot in Forces isn't a clone,it just recycled the Laser attack, but even so it's still way better than these 2 fights combined

They didn't have it in Colors for the Wii (only the DS version), skip Generations, Lost World, and then Forces. Bring Back Super Sonic Boss Fights!
I do hope they add the secret final boss from the DS version to Colors: Ultimate. Still keeping this boss, of course, but then the secret final boss once you obtain all of the Chaos Emeralds. That'd be really neat.
@@Sholver Well i think on some time ago, it came out a canceled concept of Sonic actually getting the hyperform on collors with the Wisp's help. There were even remains of these in the main plot, one of them being the Wisp's energy being called "Hypergoon", i mean it's on it's name

Even though the nega wisp boss from forces and lost world is a copy from sonic colour,they are still all badass to look at. Especially with the camera angles
There's a reason why they remove the line that say wisps are more powerfull than the chaos emeralds and its canon that chaos emeralds is more powerfull since they remove it
finally this is the true power of super sonic. also finally the "super final color blaster" is finally revealed now now all that needs to be done is to completely remove that stupid bright light that ruined the "super final color blaster" moment in the video basically.
While this is cool I'm glad Super Sonic wasn't utilised in the story as Sonic has been relying on its power for literally nearly every final boss, this was a nice change of pace and gave the wisps a chance to shine as they were the main part of Colours (On Wii specifically no idea why DS decided to put it in the story). I won't deny however that Super Sonic in any final battle is epic and fits as a big finale to Sonic games.

I'm surprised the game doesn't crash when Super Sonic destroys the cubes, since you were never meant to damage those. In order for that to happen, they had to program a death animation for those cubes.
I feel like it should have hyper sonic vs the final boss because of all the wisp and different colors. When they all form together, they should transform him into hyper sonic.
Final colour blaster? Could they really not think of anything better, rainbow burst, technicolour flash, kaleido blitz, those were just of the top of my head.
