    The engine looks excellent for a scratchbuild. The only thing you missed were a couple oil tanks between the engine and the rear plate. Otherwise 👌 great work

    Just got back into modelling and came across your awesome vid but where did you get that metal accessory pack from thanks

    • @LocktOnArt
      @LocktOnArt  8 месяцев назад

      Thank you for watching!, The metal accessories can as part of the kit. However you can buy packs separately, they are called photo-etched parts (PE) just look up PE for the model you want to make and in what scale. Great video! Good thing you also explained the process a bit, usually I find a lot of music videos with no explanation at all. Btw is that a early type idler wheel I see?!

    FANTASTIC! A TRUE build without shortcuts, omitted steps and details not shown or unexplained. Have never seen a BUILD video as comprehensive and complete as this. THANK YOU for your efforts on behalf of us viewers. Like a good book, I will be terribly disappointed when I finish viewing all parts as this is so splendid..

    Awesome scratch built engine just wondering why you use super Glue in the entire build

    • @LocktOnArt
      @LocktOnArt  4 года назад +1

      Thanks very much!. I use super glue because it's quick to hold things in place and it works across many mediums.

    • @kevinjohnson8220
      @kevinjohnson8220 Год назад

      I agree. There is obviously a place for CA here but slide molded kits are really designed to take a liquid solvent glue and a modeler can be giving himself more headaches than he's trying to avoid if he uses CA. Moreover if there is a temperature change pieces can fall off or the model can crack.

    Awesome build , one note on the tracks, No Tiger l , had solid guide horns on the tracks, as good as Dragons Magic Tracks are, The are incorrect for the Tiger l, Notice the spare Tracks in the kit and the guide horns, they are correct. Why Dragon did the tracks this way the world may never know, Maybe one reason why they went to DS,

    • @kevinjohnson8220
      @kevinjohnson8220 Год назад

      I think one could get away with scribing or chiseling one tooth on the outside edge of each track. It's a bit of work but not an enormous amount, because other magic tracks are wonderful.

    Quick question, which Zimmerit sheet are you using?
    It didn't come with the kit did it?

    • @LocktOnArt
      @LocktOnArt  4 года назад

      the zimmerit was purchased separately. It is a set from Cavalier Model Productions No. 0131

    Do you build whole model with super glue and what brand also do you enhance weld seams

    • @LocktOnArt
      @LocktOnArt  5 лет назад

      Yes I use super glue for the whole thing It's called Gorilla Super Glue www.holdfast.co.nz/pages/product_details.aspx?pid=00180&cat=9&psid=00180
      I use Tamyia epoxy putty for the weld seems thcc.nz/products/tamiya-87051-epoxy-putty-quick-type?variant=12522301227081&

      The Zimmerit I used was by Cavalier number 0131 for Dragon models Tiger I 6253 from a local model shop . They come up on eBay from time to time, also you can get similar packs on there too.
      I hope this helps!

    May I ask what is the tool you used to bend the metal piece at 24:47?

    • @LocktOnArt
      @LocktOnArt  5 лет назад

      Hi Peter,
      It is simply called a photo etch bending tool. It is very handy for getting sharp bends in metal.
      Here is a link to a search for them on ebay:
      www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=photo+etch+bending+tool&_sacat=0
      There are many to choose from and price ranges.
      Thanks for your interest! :)

    Great detail! Looking good so far! Will you be damaging the exhaust covers?
    Looking forward to seeing the rest of the build, I have this kit in the stash and I feel inspired...but the build queue is long!

    • @LocktOnArt
      @LocktOnArt  6 лет назад

      Tim Bryant Hi Tim , thanks for your support.
      The exhaust covers are made of preformed brass and are quite hard so I don't know what I will be doing with them at this stage.
      Cheers
