Ok… I went back and sprayed my decant again. At first it was an absolute no… but it’s growing on me. I’m getting something totally different this time around.

Same! I absolutely love Valaya. When I first tried it, I thought it would be too sharp for me but when I let it sit on my skin… I was hooked.

I’ve found that Black Opium really does alter with your skin chemistry! It smells very different on myself and my friends who have worn it around me and I love that! It smells very autumnal on me and has depth. Can’t wait to try the flanker.

what you said at the end really spoke to me about my makeup collection! i find myself hoarding stuff that is just ok...when in reality I'll never touch it again and its going to sit there and become a dust magnet !! time to return and DECLUTTER from now on LOL
I hated Valaya at the beginning because I couldn’t smell it. But then I wore it outside and oh boy does it project so well in the heat. Masterpiece for me!
I have to add my two scents just in case someone might be on the fence about trying this perfume…Valaya is a triumph! I was given a sample, liked it well enough, then on my first wear didn’t like it, for some reason gave it another chance and I’m so glad I did! It is beautiful, elegant, layered and so sophisticated. It was even my wedding scent. Point being, scents are so personal. Parfums de marly make classy elegant perfumes but not everyone of them will be a winner for everybody. For instance, I personally don’t like fruity or sweet, or gourmand fragrances. And I’m not a big fan of their most popular perfume, Delina. In the end you have to get a sample and have a couple wears to know if it’s for you. ❤

They need to bring back Slik Santal asap! I’m looking at my 50ml going down down down. Yum Pistachio grew and grew on me and has also become a love. I didn’t think I was a Kayali fan but the last releases have been hits for me! Love the Sugared Patchouli one too.
Valaya is growing on me… I have a 8ml decant and I think I’ll be good for life. It’s a like not a love.
I LOVED Sonic Flower. Something about that clean Jasmine just has me hooked.

Great list! I have Burberry Goddess on its way! 💖 Also really love the Black Opium Le Parfum! Now you have me wanting to try the Ellis Brooklyn one! The way you described it is exactly how I feel about Sun Fruit. I love the smell so so much, but wished it lasted longer! I love it so much in the high heat where I live though, I just respray throughout the day.
My favorite fragrance for 2023 is Akro Rise! It’s scrumptious! I absolutely love it! 🍍+ 🥥 = ❤️

Omg!! Finally someone that is not on the Valaya train. I thought it was just boring for the price!! Musk an🎉d only musk!! TF E Cherry was just a pinch of cherry with spring flowers, and for the price just a big noooooooo!!!! My favorites of 2023 so far are B Goddess, BO L Parfume and Sol de Janeiro After Hours body spray!!! Great video!!!!
Valaya for me smells sooo good! I tried it a couple of times at Nordstrom before I bought the whole bottle. Goddess by Burberry is a No No, it smells like an old woman’s perfume.
I certainly agree with waiting for THAT fragrance or THAT product that you covet and desire 💓

Hi Erin, I will defenetly buy the new Gucci Perfume. The new Tom Fords are interesting too, I have Lost Cherry, which is very beautifull . I have seen the Barbie Movie. It's great, amazing and so funny. The new Kayali I do not prefer mutch .

I am with you on Gucci Magnolia, I love that fragrance so much. It doesn't smell like anything else that I own definitely a grown scent. I carry this in my purse all the time.

Great list! I’m definitely trying to stop purchasing “middle of the road” fragrances. Looking through my collection I have quite of few of them, mostly from blind buying.
I really agree with you about you said at the end of the video. I have been careful to only purchase products that i love and not just like. My bank account thanks me lol. ❤
I have the opposite reaction, I absolutely love the Kayali Velvet over the Silk. The Silk is nice but Velvet is richer and more distinctive 👍

Great review!I own both the TF signature and private blend collection of cafe rose and the signature version is definitely watered down.

The new release from Chanel, Chance eau fraîche, is not le parfum, it’s eau de parfum. Those are not the same, the concentration is different 😊
Looking forward to your official home tour! FYI, not a fan of the Chanel Fraiche parfum. I have the sample. It leans very masculine. I agree the original toilette one is a lot better since it’s softer and more green. I gotta try that Kayli Silk Santal.
I like and bought Silk Santal but it was really familiar to me. Had it about a week and it’s hit me, it reminds me so much of La Belle Jean Paul Gaultier!

I feel bad about wasting $$ I bought Tiziana Terenzi 11Piacere anniversary collection .. my saving grace it was 30% off , but ooohhh, It gave me a terrible migraine.. I should have returned..And Valaya, returned her to Saks right away. It was terrible, nothing there.. thanks so much to your beautiful insight for these releases. 🎉❤

My worst ‘blind’ perfume purchase is J’Adore. I like Miss Dior - but this one was not nice on me. My husband commented as well! Pretty bottle - I just should have sampled it first.

Great video! You are so 100% right on buying what sparks joy, not mediocre things. There is a fragrance reviewer I watch who has a wonderful wish list but keeps buying nothing fragrances that disappoint her or aren't worth it. She needs to see this video😂

Hi hi! Valaya is the only Marly parfum I love, with Herod. Love this grapefruit, peach fizzy fresh smell.
Unpopular opinion. Burberry goddess smells like a ginger bomb not a vanilla bomb. Even after the dry down the vanilla was so faint to to me 😮💨
Valaya is so nice and libre l'absolu plantine for when I'm wanting to take a break from gourmand fragrances!

Valaya was such a disappointment for me!! I was so sad, I wanted to love it so much! The branding is great, the bottle is absolutely amazing, but the perfume… not for me!
Thanks for sharing. I understand the buying perfume that turns out to be a dozer. I smelt about that night by Thameen when I was at Harrods. It did smell lovely then. But when I came back to the US and purchased it, i was very disappointed because it smells like Le Libre, which I don't care for. But since I opened it, I can not return it
Luckily, there is a lady at work that seems to love perfumes, so when I buy something I don't love, I pass it on to her. I just bought Burberry goodness, I can wear that on weekend errands.
I get frustrated with flankers when the bottles are hard to distinguish along with product names sometimes getting so long. They can be very confusing. If you ask someone what they are wearing they could say YSL Libre but I think there are 5 or 6 different ones. And then they use EDP and le parfum! I wish companies would rethink the packaging and naming conventions to be less confusing to consumers!
I do agree!! I enjoy the flankers for Marc jacobs, but they are easy to distinguish by the bottles and names. I blind bought ysl libre by recommendation and I am convinced I bought the wrong one and I hated it 😢
I'm a new subscriber, and I really appreciates your opinions on the perfumes mentioned.
So I am a perfume hater. But I'm in search of my signature scent. Does that make sense?
I have sampled so many niche and designer perfumes and I hate 95% of them, like a few, and absolutely love almost none. A couple perfumes I like are PDM Herod, Xer. Ivory Route, Clive Christian Crab Apple Blossom, Creed Virgin Island Water and Tom Ford eau de Soliel Blanc. All the expensive ones haha. Most of these are uni sex which surprises me because I am a very feminine person. Oh, and if I don't like the bottle (Good Girl style is an absolute no) I probably won't buy it.
Do you have any suggestions? I'm sick of wasting my money on samples! Thank you!

You’re the only RUclipsr so far that I can trust with fragrances I don’t know if we have the same taste or if people are just being paid to promote perfumes but your recommendations are always a hit for me.
I can totes see how you'd not enjoy Valaya. I really love the musk, and how that is the note that stays. Too sweet somehow aggravates my migraines, but if you were hoping for something fruity and floral, and you got musk, I can see how that would not be your vibe!
How strong is the coffee scent in the black opium Parfum ??
I wish the Kayali Pistacio was longer lasting! I watched another reviewer that mentioned a richer Pistiacio fragrance but cannot think the name!
I ordered the Silk Santal at Huda Beauty's homepage 3 days ago and they had it. I am from Sweden so maybe they have a storage in Europe?

Ok so this is going to be a venting comment. No offense meant to anyone at all whatsoever. But i am entirely fed up of the perfume industry pumping out sickeningly sweet or light pointless fragrances that last 1 hour tops with little to no projection. The last two perfumes i enjoyed that they ofcourse discontinued was YSL Manifesto Elixir and Alien absolue. Im saddened that classic perfumes with white floral bouquets like Givenchy Amariage and Lancome Poeme arent done anymore. Also i do not like any of the niche fragrances. Its entirely boring to my nose and just strange. And to me is very blah. Tired after spending nearly 2 decades on trying and buying too many perfumes enjoying the ones pre 2015 specially the 80s and 90s perfumes that most people call dated and offensive. I hope perfume companies go back to the drawing board and continue to make the old school perfumes and continue to make these sugary bakery smells for those who like it. I dont think it should be one or the other. I think there should be variety for all those who enjoy whatever they like. I left searching for perfumes back in 2019 because i got tired of the dissapointing releases. And ofcourse i understand those with perfume allergies etc who prefer the boring jo malone simple perfumes because i myself am allergic to pachouli and powdery dusty notes in perfumes so i understand. All i am saying is there should be all varieties available to those who love things thats not in the current "trend". Hate me for this but im going back to CK perfumes like In2U and Escape etc because beleive it or not i find the blend far more pleasing than most of these perfumes pumped out today. There i said it.

Goddess dry down is Replica by the fireplace. I love the initial spray and wish that scent lasted.
Valaya makes me nauseous. It is not an easy to wear fragrance and it does lean masculine. It was a blind buy for me and I’m trying to sell mine.
