You can find expansion slots for you ship by exploring crashed freighters (on the ground). There are 5 containers on each freighter and can launch fuel, hyperdrive fuel, expansion slots & lots of other items

Not sure if you worked this out later in your streams but you are missing out on loot by exiting the looting process when you collect the goop from damaged machinery and rusted metal from green boxes. You have to wait 2-3 secs for the loot to register otherwise you don’t get it. If you have been told this later in the stream or subsequent streams, please ignore as I’m halfway through this video. Cheers 😊

Well, life got in the way and I couldn't watch live, but I'm here now!

As there is a limit to terrain deformation, I'm now in the habit of filling in any holes I make ( when digging up buried modules etc.)
Edit: Don't know if deformation cap applies to an area, region, planet. I'm sure someone knows though.

If you're not in a restricted build space, most of the buried technology modules can be picked up without digging by being in 1st person mode & positioned directly over it.
