I understood upto this.But my question is in case of chlorination...Why isobutane gives 63% iso-butylchloride and 37% tert-butyl chloride?

is the selectivity temperature dependant or do we see a difference in selectivity upon increasing temperature?
Yes, for kinetically controlled reactions, the selectivity will increase at lower temperature. Below a certain temperature, however, the reaction won't proceed at all.
