How does this compare to “Allure”? Originally i was going to get this but i saw someone in The comments say “allure” is better. I saw them both in the store but they didn’t have the BDC so i got the allure.... needless go say i fell in love. I’ll be comparing the two when BDC arrives next week.
It's great as a day/work scent. I like the fresh and zesti vibe from it but longevity isn't good on me. I just respray when I feel I need to. Just bought another 100ml bottle today. I prefer it to the other flankers.
A lot of people think that the edt is the "least interesting" version by now but it's still the best performing and projecting one right?... but recently i've heard people saying that the newer 2020/2021 batches of the edt don't do that anymore... is that true? i know you talked about reformulation but i guess even your newer bottle is from 2018 or something like that...
Quick questions for you Steven... how do you keep your bottles so clean/clean them? Mine always get so dirty and I have a hard time making them look clean again. Thank you.
I don't know how, but you're posting videos of fragrances I'm thinking of buying. Almost a year ago I smelled Uomo Signature by Salvatore Ferragamo in a duty free and I really liked it, but didn't buy it, as my financial status at the time didn't make up for it. So I bought it in July. After that I bought Azzaro Wanted by night. Prior to those, I bought The Scent Private Accord as your "one of the best releases of 2018". I'm also planning on buying the original Uomo by Ferragamo because the tiramisu note has got me, light blue love is love, want to try one million privé, will buy Très Nuit and Club de nuit intense man next month and many others to come. I am a s**ker for darker fragrances, and I also plan on getting Bleu de Chanel EDT, i know there's also a edp and pure parfum version but the one I smelled and liked two years ago was the edt, and being a chanel I don't doubt it'll not perform.. Thanks for the good work and the good advices, Steven! Edit: Dylan Blue too! My dad is at his third bottle and I really like it! And I can't buy the Dior Sauvage, the metallic smell is not for me.
Oh, wow! This is too cool, Cristian! I find these to be pleasant synchronicities! It just goes to show that great minds think alike and great noses smell alike!
Only ever had the EDT, but my only issue is it doesn't last that long on me And the projection isn't great. Guess it's good as an everyday fragrance rather that one for going out.
I've gotten samples of the EDP and the Parfum but neither really grab me all that much. They smell great but I just don't feel as though they work for me. Maybe I should give one last ditch effort and try the EDT. Side question, Steven... have you tried any of the Harmonist's fragrances? I just got some samples and I'm blown away by them. Would love to see you review their fragrances.
Thanks for sharing!! I own Yin Transformation and Moon Glory! I enjoy them both very much! I have samples of the rest, and I recently smelled Sun Force. They have great fragrances!

Bleu de Chanel is always compared to Dior Sauvage. lol I would not rank one above the other, because to be quite honest, both of these fragrances are favourable within their own regard. I would strongly encourage someone, if they had the financial means, to purchase both. In fact, I would highly recommend purchasing the following four fragrances - Bleu de Chanel and Chanel Allure and also Dior Sauvage as well as Dior Homme. Bleu de Chanel was released back in 2010, and I remember vividly when it came out, because it was featured within a men's magazine I had. I remember just how extraordinary it smelled. I would argue that Bleu de Chanel has at least another five to ten years before it becomes somewhat outdated.

Enjoyed the review. I love this fragrance!
Another informative video Steven,
I'm trying to buy my father a fragrance and I've gotten down to:
Dior Sauvage EDP
Bleu De Chanel EDP
Yves Saint Laurent Y EDP
Armani Acqua Di Gio Profondo
and also have
Dolce and Gabbana The One EDP
Prada L'homme EDT
Thank you for your input.
I'll see if I can sample at Macy's then buy BDC EDT or other concentrations.
I think Bleu de Chanel and Profondo would make great fragrances for him!
@@Redolessence Thank you very much Steven, always enjoy your videos.
Keep up the great work and stay safe! :)
I have the edt and edp nothing like layering both great video! On a side note the new edt bottles say eau de toilette on them not sure if it’s a reformulation!
How does this compare to “Allure”? Originally i was going to get this but i saw someone in The comments say “allure” is better. I saw them both in the store but they didn’t have the BDC so i got the allure.... needless go say i fell in love. I’ll be comparing the two when BDC arrives next week.
I have Sauvage and Y EDP. I should probably just pick this one up to complete the blue trifecta. :)
Thank you for sharing, Dan!
It's great as a day/work scent. I like the fresh and zesti vibe from it but longevity isn't good on me.
I just respray when I feel I need to. Just bought another 100ml bottle today. I prefer it to the other flankers.
Planning to buy the 150ml. Is that worth it? Or just stick to 100ml?
Not even worth it. It lacks performance and longevity considering how expensive it is i regret buying mines.
Absolutely agree with you..i have all 3 version!
Nice!
Which would you recommend?
Go with the middle the EDP.
Do you have a 100ml bottle or 50ml in your hand?
Quick questions for you Steven... how do you keep your bottles so clean/clean them? Mine always get so dirty and I have a hard time making them look clean again. Thank you.
I wipe down my bottles with a microfiber cloth before I shoot videos! Haha
@@Redolessence ah gotcha. Thanks.
@@Redolessence truly!
Yes Steven i agree bdc is still a lovely scent but my all time favourite is aqua di gio profumo
Thank you for watching!
@@Redolessence Moon Glory and Sun Force are the two that I haven't had opportunity to smell yet but I have samples of all the others. I am very intrigued by all their fragrances and the Holt Renfrew by me has sets of the black and white fragrances for a very good price. I'm very close to pulling the trigger on both.
Bleu de Chanel is always compared to Dior Sauvage. lol
I would not rank one above the other, because to be quite honest, both of these fragrances are favourable within their own regard.
The only one I have is the Parfum, and love it! I sold the EDP after I smelled that one! I've never owned the EDT. Great rid as always, bro!
Thanks for sharing!
Bought this in Macy’s the edt in January 2021 thanx my guy
How is the performance
You wouldn't believe but I bought Bleu de Chanel eau de perfume cheaper than it was online, and moreover it was in a Department store as well. Yes that is nice deal for me
Thanks for sharing!!
Looking good. Good vid
Not specifically related to bleu de chanel, however about the batches, does each batch of a fragrance get created yearly or just when they run out of the fragrance and need to make more
Guys ! I got question plz . If someone has a bleu de Chanel bottle , plz advice the color of the juice because my bottle has yellow juice . I had mine in 2013 and when I spray it on my clothes nowadays it turn to unpleasant smell I don’t know why !
Absolutely. I own edp, but tried all three. It's timeless, I wear it to office, for night out, anywhere basically and it works and it smells modern, love the woody drydown. People rocking out way older fragrances, I think BDC is still a young guy that already beat up its masters🙂for me it's just unique signature scent. Thank you Steven fo these videos, yours and GentScent channels are my go to frag channels, always relevant✌️
Thank you for the compliment! I really appreciate it!
I am considering pulling the trigger on one of the BdC.
Which one should I get?? Help!
I hope someone can chime in and share their opinion as well.
Edt is fresher and zestier, edp is more intense and has better longevity. I prefer edt because of the freshness and I use it when I’m playing sport and competing, I know it’s not marketed as a sports fragrance but for me I find it really uplifting and refreshing so it’s perfect 👌🏻
Got mine from Macy’s randomly had a 15% discount 😌
How much did it cost you? And what size..?
Never had this in my collection. I had Sauvage and then moved to YSL Y EDP. Maybe I should try this out.
Hey Steven. Love the new layout. I was hoping to get some assistance with an issue I'm having on a Navitus order. I reached out to CS but no one has answered back.
Hey! I would be happy to help. May you please email me at Steven@redolessence.com
Thank you.
@@Redolessence Thank you soo much Steven. I sent the email. Keep on rocking.
@@xCelticgx I just replied! My pleasure! I'm happy to help!
This one reminds me to Adidas Ice Dive edt
I'm still undecided if i should get the bleu de Chanel parfum or allure homme sport eau extreme. I really wanna get both but I'm only collecting 1 fragrance for every house
Bleu is a classic!
I love the parfum version.. one of my favorite.
It's better than edt!?
@@skrillaaaah for me...yeah
this video got me to wear this today :)
Oh, cool!
I’d go with the Parfum every time
Bought mine in 2018,the scent is good but nothing amazing..
But omg the performance is SOO BAD.
2 hours and it nearly disappeared, would never recommend for the price tag.
Sorry to hear about the performance!
Just got a 5 oz. bottle of BDC edt for 38 bucks after redeeming a ton of Macy's star rewards!
Thank you for watching!
Will still be worth it in 2075.. Goat
Super worth it 💯
Thank you for sharing!
Honestly much prefer the parfum concentration
Thanks for the honesty!
One of my all time favorites.
Thank you for sharing, Cole!
