Absolutely worth it!!! Hands down one of my favorites. The vanilla & mint are just magic in the cool/crisp air. I will often grab my bottle and just smell the atomizer. A legend.

Yes it is still unique. The bottle is unique and the smell is unique. It's clearly not outdated because it still sells really really well

I love this fragrance and you can wear it throughout your 20s like I am. Use clothes your size, hit the gym and always have a fresh cut, combine that with wearing le male and you become handsome! Pro tip: double spray if you want the 8hr performance.
This cologne is the only thing I wear. It works the best with my body chemistry. And I can not tell you, every single female.ive ever been close to, is always meamerized.... I can't explain it. But I'll never stop wearing it. It's beautiful. And every woman who's ever smelled me, almost falls in love immediately.
I first wore this when it was first released. I'm nearly 50 and still adore this scent. I only buy vintage Le Male. There's something addictive about pairing of mint, wormwood and vanilla. This strongly recalls Pour un Homme de Caron, another iconic classic with lavender and vanilla.

Absolutely worth it!! The performance isn't a beast like it once was, but it's way better now. Beast projecting fragrances are nose rape. This new formulation still gives great performance. The scent bubble and scent trail are phenomenal. And it lasts all day long! Still gets tons of compliments from this one.
Agree. Who wants to be the guy that everybody smells 12 feet away every single day. With this formula you can wear this everyday anytime and not be that tacky guy.
Bought this about 6 months ago and it's a fragrance that I choose to wear when out playing golf. For me it's a calming and appreciative scent.... it's a must have and always will be within my rotation of colognes.
Le Male is still worth it but it was a very different fragrance when it was first released. I can remember it like it was yesterday. You couldn't wash that stuff off. It was glorious. My favorite Le Male now is the Superman one Eau Fraiche I think it is.. I get more compliments when I wear that one than almost anything in my collection.
I thought I was going crazy with the newer smell being lighter and not lasting as long. Glad its not just me!
I wore this for years from like 2010-2015 as one of the few fragrances I had, I definitely went though more bottles of this than any other, but once I started to branch out I never picked up another one, I love it though it always was an attention getter for compliments and it lasted all day on me. I don’t know what it is about this fragrance but I can’t say no to it. I was put off the first time I smelled it and walked out Ultra Male instead. I was gifted this bottle and now I’ll find myself wearing it anytime I don’t have a specific fragrance in mind. So I can see both sides but you do provide validity.
Dude in my opinion this is one of the best cologne to have in ur closet/bathroom drawer. I bought one back when I was 15 yrs old and to this day I have one in my room and I'm now 30yrs old.!.

I think it is. Every now and then, I like to wear it to get a blast of that classic sweet vanilla. I feel that le male has transitioned to a classic, but still tends to be wearable in current times. Also, Loved the video Steven!

Le Male was my first love on my fragrance journey. Because of the reformulation I haven't bought it in a few years and moved on to Prada Luna Rossa sport. But I'll come back to my fist love one day.
I arrived late to the party. I’ve recently but a bottle after buying the Male Le Perfum. I am really enjoying it and it has become my daily fragrance for works. At least for me is still worth it. On my skin I get + 8 Hours longevity. The bottle is iconic.
Still worth it… it has cinnamon, vanilla, lavender etc. all of the aphrodisiacs to attract women 💯
I've owned a bottle of Le Male since about 1999. Over the years, Amouage Reflection Man has been released, PDM Darley, and most recently, Gucci Guilty Elixir. Although each of the aforementioned fragrances all live withon the same basic wheelhouse, each have their own nuances that make it different.
And for me, that has kept the DNA alive to this day. ❤
However, i do agree, it can be challenging to the younger crowd.
In reference to the reformulations, it has made it weaker, but it's also made it more wearable in more weather conditions. here used to ne a heavoer body odor/cumin smell that used to mix terribly with my skin on warmer days. So, this is a rare instance where reformulation has actually actually helped. in my opinion.

My Uncle used to visit us in India from Chicago. When they visited us, I used to get a fragrance which I really liked. But I did not know it was Le Male until only few months back when I tried Le Male. It gets me back to those childhood memories when I spray the fragrance.
Love these videos! I got my order of Oud Imperium, Virtus, Absolutio, and Intimus, I've tried them all now on strip and akin and I have to say I legitimately love all 4. Oud Imperium is great, such a nice and wearable oud, great line man!
Just got a 200ml of it from wholesale at the same price a retailer would sell the 125ml for. First JPG for me amongst many colognes I own.
I have it and have had it for 10 years or so. It is still unique to my nose, and has had a new rise in popularity at least here in Finland. It still has compliments and my lady loves it. Sadly the modern formulation is much worse than it was in my first bottle in the early 2000s, but the scent has nostalgia factor for me. For a newcomer, you need to smell this yes. But bottleworthy... that’s only for you to decide 😊

Milton-Lloyd Bondage Hommes is a clone of the vintage version of this. It is strong and long-lasting! (Le Male is weaker) I also have a newer bottle of Le Male and prefer the Milton-Lloyd. Costs only $11 and I have niche and high-end designers so I wouldn't lie. The bottle sprays like a deodorant but still. I bought a bottle and couldn't believe it was as strong as it was for the price.

Can be purchased from discount stores for 40-50 bucks for a smaller bottle, I am wearing it today, also got a deo stick and shower gel with it.
I love the 90’s nostalgia feel of it and the toned down performance in my book is a pro.
I sampled it in 1999 and it was monstrous/too strong for me to wear.
I didn't appreciate it when I first bought it all those years ago. I received a sample yesterday and I think it smells great!

I have to disagree with you Steven. In my opinion none of its flankers is better than the original. Most of them are generic and juvenile unsuitable for someone over 17 years of age. Louder maybe yes. But better? Le Male is a modern fougere. Yes its been reformulated to death but still is better than most designer releases out there with all their ambroxin- ozonic aspects that make me personally feel disappointed with what all these houses ended up to.( excuse my english) . As for the Amouage Reflection similarities that many people find, i personally don't find them similar. All the best.

I just bought it a couple days ago first time in about eight years. I know it's not going to smell the same as it did back in the early 2000s but I miss that smell

@@DMDL669 what I learnt in these years is to stock up on a perfume when I like one because next time I go it will be 99% reformulated for any kind of reason. Some blame new regulations but often they reformulate modern fragrances made observing the regulations after just a few years and always for the worst. They hook you up on a strong great fragrance (Eros, Savage, Dylan Blue, Armani Code) then after a while they start watering down the formula. Hell even Zara started doing that now with Vibrant Leather and others.

It has such a mix that cuba gold can't catch (cuba gold came before le male btw if you guys don't know). The discounted prices for le male is so good you can't help and buy it again. I haven't tried reflection man so I can't say if the reaction from the women are better but le male is such a star when it comes to it..

Still awesome scent. Have a batch from 2011 or so. I have about 20,25ml left, the color of juice changed to somthing like yellow. Still good and lasts 8+h. But in 2020 i think its time to let go le male, to many reforumations 😥
Tough for me to say it's not relevant in 2020 because of my memories attached to it from days past. I wear it occasionally and when I do, I'm happy I did.

The whole le male being similar to reflection man is so off base. I still think it's a very solid performer and I have the worst skin for sillage and longevity! 2015 batch
I think it is, a lot of fragrances of were much more generic (such as Boss) where as this one was distinct and identifiable
Here is what I know from experience. 1. Buy only the BPI versions which will be marked on the bottom of the bottle. PUIG changed things around 2015-2017. 2. bottles from 1995 to 2015 have slowly seen the digression of performance. The biggest being the vanilla and mint notes. Longevity & sillage also digress. 3. The "freshness" also seemed to digress. 4. Purchase only vintage bottles b4 2015 in order to get that longevity and sillage. Right around 2011, there was a major reformulation & again in 2015. 2011 to 2014 still has great performance. Then, in 2015 mid year, there was a tweaking to the formula so I understood. Vintage Le Male will cost you a fortune. So, go for the Dua, Milton lloyd or Cuba Gold.
Alternatives: the absolute closest are to the Le Male 1995 scent are DUA MAN PARFUM EXTRAIT for $60 per 30ml. Milton Lloyd Bondage Homme for $11. Incredible performance on both of these. Also Cuba Gold edt, good bang for the buck.
Anyone who would recommend Cuba Gold over Le Male has no business being a fragrance influencer because they lose all credibility 🤦🏻♂️

I been sampling several Barbershop fragrances. I’m trying to find a good Signature Barbershop fragrance. I have Cuba Gold and it doesn’t perform as good as Le Male. Le Male is actually leading the pack because it has better performance than almost all of the other Barbershop fragrances I’m sampling. Xerjoff Homme Parfum definitely wins in the performance category but pricey.
I just bought Prada Luna rosa sport and boy !! I love it and also most importantly my fiancé loves it which is rare so that’s probably gonna be my new signature scent it knocked down sauvage to 2nd place

This guy is CRAZY! Lol. I mean seriously no offense, but really!? It’s not worth buying!? My wife is 28 and loves this on me. Also I’ve worn it to work on more than one occasion and have gotten many compliments and one women wanting to buy it for her husband now. This fragrance is a masterpiece for its day and will never be discontinued. It’s the perfect versatile fragrance. You get fresh, green and sweetness in this whole fragrance. There’s never a bad time to own this fragrance. A hundred years from now this fragrance will still be worth owning and buying.

Ultra male was amazing but can’t find it anymore will probably buy the original again . In 2022, Le Male continues to be a fantastic fragrance! And this is coming from a person who owns MFK fragrances. It appears that modern fragrances are circling back around to this style of scent.
Still an iconic compliment getter. Yes, it's still worthy and does the job.
Love this one, but it took a while before I grew to appreciate it. I only wear the vintage version. I've tried all these cheap clones:
Cuba Gold
Sexy Boy (original)
Diplomate Tropical Feeling
The best of those three is Diplomate, if you can find it. It lasts the longest with the vanilla dry-down and got me compliments. Cuba Gold and Sexy Boy are really weak, but the price is nice.
In my opinion, if your budget is $100 or more then no, however I've seen the 125ML (4.2 OZ) bottle of Le Male at discounters for $35-40...if you find it at that price point I'd say buy it to have one your collection, even if you use it just a few times per year.

Hell yeah ... I'm 39 yrs of age , I had it since school and will have till my death ... Smells are never outdated, people who smell them think that way because humans are temporary whereas fragrances are eternal or atleast they feel that way... This smell is my personal time machine, takes me back when I was young , dumb n full or c**💦

This the only non Chanel fragrance I wear I wear Chanel Allure Homme sport, Bleau de Chanel parfum, Chanel number 5 parfum, Chanel cocoa edp and this and honestly Le Male is my favorite!
Yes it's still worth it depending upon the price. Drakkar noir, aqua di Gio, JPG le male, ysl la nuite and I'll throw in versace the dreamer as well, these are iconic. Unique when they were first release and awesome smelling, they have stood the test of time. To me they don't smell dated at all...just because they're not super sweet.
A great fragrance is a great fragrance regardless of how old it is.

Now, a regular guy, who has just a few bottles, could find something more modern.
I order one at Walgreens using a coupon for 49.00. Still waiting to arrive but before I bought it I went to Ulta and sampled it, the sales rep sprayed it on a paper strip and 4 days later I can still smell it on the paper. Not sure if it is an old batch though. Great vide and great information.

I will say it’s worth it simply because it can be had so cheap at discounters. No, it’s not the same as it used to be and it’s definitely weaker, but for a “dumb reach” for certain situations at $30 or $45 bucks, I think it still has some value and nostalgia. Plus, it just plain smells good! I am strictly coming from not comparing it to the original; just standing on its own now for a super-cheap dumb reach, I think there’s still some value there. For a person like me who was newborn when this perfume came out, its a no.
It smells dated to my nose and its combo of vanilla and lavender didnt sit well for me. I much prefer Ultramale but its apparently getting discontinued.

As I am honestly finding it hard to reach for this often, to me this is a AMAZING bedtime scent. The lavender, freshness, yet sensuality. Great after a shower as you wind down for bed while still being sexy and sensual for whoever may join you for sleep :).

Girls just really love and fall in love with this scent, it is so versatile and perfect as a signature scent, its absolutley worth it.
Of course it might not be as strong long lasting as it was 20 years ago lasting for at least 24 hours, but still it is strong and does its 8+ hours on skin which is pretty good nowadays to be honest.
Le male is not the same any more, just a shadow of itself, this is aplicable to all perfumes from the past, you can blame IFRA and EU law. Indie is the best way to go if you want fragrances with depth and richness.

For some reason, Le Male was just released a year ago in my region (yes the original) alongside the Essence flanker but they didn't release ultra male. They are trying push it like crazy. Good thing I watched this video, it was very informative. A suggestion if I may, would you consider doing a video on Kouros? I think it's still somewhat relative as I still see it in major retailers like Sephora.

Fantastic fragrance, absolutely worth it.
It's worth it. It sucks that it's been reformulated and it's not as strong and slightly different. But it's still an awesome smelling fragrance. I used to spray some on myself from my brother's bottle back in the mid 90's when I was a kid. My brother never knew I did this. I also used to use Polo Green. Those are my 2 nostalgic colognes. oh and also the cuba cigar colognes. I remember having those. But Le Male is just a unique different scent and it's timeless. It's not offensive like some colognes. I feel you can't go wrong with it.

@@kingivey4672 Yeah it's appropriate. le male is a very versatile scent. Not everyone likes it but I don't think it would bother people either. I would say wear it whenever you want. I sport it for all kinds of occasions.
I still wear it every now and again. But my wife doesn’t care for it.

I tried LeMale and ultra at Macy's. I frankly didn't like them. It was a while back but I believe they smelled too sweet and juvenile.

Not worth it in 2020! I have a bottle from a 2018 batch and it is very watered down. Performance is dismal and even Le Beau Male (now discontinued but which I do own) is a better performer than the current batches of the original Le Male. And Le Beau Male was never a strong player in the performance field. The current batches of the original Le Male lost the powdery nuances it used to possess and the vanilla note is very muted or undetectable, at least to my nose. Vanilla was very present in old batches. Puig destroyed the essence of this fragrance with the reformulations.
