this made me wanna cry. the things her abuela said.... I pictured my abue to be there for when I get married, I wanted my children to know her... sadly that won't happen... this video also made me think about how would my abue react to me being billed. I always wonder...
Sometimes I don’t realize how lucky I was. I’m 52 years old now, when I came out at the age of 16, there was no Internet, there was no Glee show, it was nothing except slanderous talk shows on TV, but my parents cried for about 2 minutes, and then told me how much they loved me, and that they will always be there for me, no matter what….and they kept that promise. I met my husband back in December 1988, One date turned into an overnight stand, which turned into “let’s give it six months and see what happens” (I moved away from home, and in with him, one week after we met), which turned into the rest of my life. From the moment we laid eyes on each other, we never left each other’s side. I’m 52, he’s 56, and my parents are almost 90, we’re all still alive, we’ve all shared a lifetime of laughter and love and family. I became a dad when my husband brought his son here to live with us, and that love has only grown stronger and stronger with each passing year as my sister, and extended family accepted me as well (not one member of my very large family had a problem with it). Sometimes it’s hard to believe how fast the time has gone, I looked back and can’t believe 32 years have passed, but if I had it to do all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing (and yes, we fight, like cats and dogs, every couple does, but as long as the love is there, nothing else matters, and you can get through anything together, even after I was suppose to die from cancer…I survived because of his love and never ending support). Sometimes we greatly underestimate the people we love, I did. Because my father was in the Royal Canadian Navy for 15 years, your typical tough guy from the military, and my mother raised in a very strict Catholic home, I had a bag packed and ready to go, fully expecting my parents to kick me out of the house the second I told them I was gay, that exact same bag with the same clothes, is still in my possession, next to my bed, why? To serve as a Constant reminder of just how much my parents love me, and to always remember not to judge people prematurely, to always give them a chance. Sadly, I know it doesn’t work out like that for everybody, many of my friends were abandoned by their families when they came out, but because so much time has passed I often forget just how much my parents must’ve suffered in silence, but never once showed it, but instead always made sure I was safe, and made sure I knew how much they loved me, and that’s never going to change. Now the tables have turned, both my husband and myself help take care of my elderly parents, who still live in their own condominium, but need help from time to time. I’m so glad I have that opportunity, because so many other people don’t, so be brave, be yourself, be honest, and frankly, if people truly love you, then they will accept you for who you are, if they don’t, they don’t deserve you, and are not worth having in your life. I have faced my share of homophobia, but I never let it bother me, I have my self respect, and the love and support my husband and my family, even myself respect alone, is enough to cut anyone out of my life that doesn’t want to except me for who I am, don’t ever settle for less! I’ve seen so many people do just that, and live a life of misery and regret, please don’t ever let that to you, because only you can make yourself happy, you have to live the life you were destined to live, and if the people around you can’t handle that, too bad for them, it’s your life, not theirs, you have to do what’s best for you, and to hell with what everyone else thinks.❤️

This wasn’t the best massage, shows keep putting this idea of toxic family members coming around eventually and that’s great in theory but usually that’s not how it actually escalates, I would love to see a show representing the reality of a healthy way to cut off a toxic person off ur life and how painful it really is
Well, I think supergirl did that when maggie and Alex were planning on getting married and even though Maggie's father basically abandoned her for being gay she invited him back into her life. I think he did try for Maggie but in the end, he was still the same homophobic shitbag who couldn't accept his daughter and she cut him out for good.
The best part of Sue is when she actually opens up (such as Finn/Corey's death and most of all, renaming and dedicating the auditorium in Finn's honour) For truly, I believe these aren't acting moments, these are moments we get to see the Jane behind the Sue. "He was a person who saw what the world, not for what it is, but how it should be."

Santana's grandma got tired of being a werewolf hunting evil bitch and decided to go chill out a bit with the grandkids lol.
2:27 Brittany's "Can i hug?" gets me
Who's here after the news abt Naya?😔
Damn, I'm gonna miss Santana. I love this scene sooo much.
I think Sue was one of the best written chatacters on the show. And nobody could have been more perfect for the role than Jane Lynch. What a legend.
Santana is my favorite of all time
"Mrs. Abuela"HAHAHAHAH
jane the virgin anyonw
yep!
yay! a harmonizer
alLy bRookE hernandez my sister loves that program!
YES
alLy bRookE hernandez ayyy!
March 20, 2020 - still missing GLEE
sue one of my favourite characters
R.I.P. Naya you will be missed. Just so incredibly sad what happened but I know Cory was the first person to greet you once you passed thru the pearly gates. 2020 sucks. Just wish it was over !!
I can't believe they mentioned the westboro Baptist church! Classic! 😂😂😂
I swear to god the woman that plays Santana’s abuela legit only plays abuealas in shows
Hahaah yess preachhh
Speaks f volumes on how stereotypical and type casting Hollywood is
My fav scene of glee. RIP Naya
Santana : “I can’t marry you if I’m in jail for killing this bitch “ 😂😂
Brittany: *okay calm down *
Me : dying of laughter 😂😂
Mrs. Abuela.
I mean, that alone is Oscar worthy.
we miss you naya
I love Brits small “can I hug” ❤️
I love how she called her miss abuela ❤️
The best part of Sue is when she actually opens up (such as Finn/Corey's death and most of all, renaming and dedicating the auditorium in Finn's honour) For truly, I believe these aren't acting moments, these are moments we get to see the Jane behind the Sue.
"He was a person who saw what the world, not for what it is, but how it should be."
Watching this still brings tears to my eyes can’t seem to believe Naya is no longer here
Oh this gets me every time 😭... We'll miss you Naya ❤️
“Reverse SUEcology” Lmao 😂
I love how sue introduces herself
Sue never wanted to show anyone she had a heart. Jane Lynch is awesome and I love her
Sue always cared for her girls
If there's a Glee comeback, I would always picture that Naya Rivera would be one of the main casts to return to the limelight. She has the true essence of Ryan Murphy's sassy plot in his directorial work. 😔
But she cant come back
@@MaxPower-wf6ky just like Cory 😔🙏
Sue-cology, I love it love this scene. But most of all, love Santana, such a beautiful soul...❤️🌹
