    Nova went a long way from these early 2000's model. We still have a few left where i work. They are terrible. I'd say after 2005 they fixed most of the problems. These days Nova buses are excellent.

    To me, it's gotta be like the movie "Speed" or the old "Brady Bunch" era buses or older to be a great bus. :-) (i.e., old looks, new looks, steel, Allison VH/VS-2, etc.)

    8v71buses Nova is still building buses. In fact, SEPTA just recently took delivery of articulateds.

    The Gillig Phantom was discontinued in 2008. Gilligs Low Floor is technically th Low Floor but its commonly called the Advantage. This bus in the video. Is the LFS from Novabus. I would like to see how a New Flyer is built.

      Surprised they discontinued it. Why didn't they keep making it? I noticed there are transit agencies that stuck with the high floors for as long as they could buy them. Such as NJ Transit's custom high floor NABI, or New York bee line with the Orion V. They were more spacious and rode better (RTS Busses) in my opinion.

    I work for NewFlyer... interesting to see other production methods... each step is a bit different for us... our whole frame is treated for anti corrosion, not just the underside... and we have bragging rights on the first low floor design... There's intersting things coming up in design... watch for it!

    • @42luke93
      @42luke93 2 года назад

      Are they ever going to make high standard floor variants like NABI did for NJ Transit? I miss those

    I still think there is something subconsciously wrong with Nova buses. I prefer NewFlyers.
    Also, why so much manual labour? No wonder buses cost >$300k. Automate, people!

      RTS nova bus is a different story, those were king. As far as the modern low floor nova bus, I feel the front door is way too wide and wastes space, I see the issue.
