My old school bus was a 2002 CE 200 with a t444e engine. I had some great times on that old bus. It’s too bad it was retired, manufactures don’t make good buses anymore.
I had a small tour of the bus plant today. It's glorious. You actually see finished busses driving out of the plant and the whole place smells of fresh paint. However the job offered to me was a bit out of my strength level. Was still cool to see the inside.
ive talked to some workers there and they said it was horrible and you barely got any time to eat lunch and also the build quality on those buses are so bad that the metal just comes right off since they need to keep the product line moving.
@@derek_457 they pay more than pretty much anyone in the area for entry level work so im sure the labor requirements are above average. I start tomorrow , will see if i still feel optimistic after 1 week 😁
@@AbelG8781 I got put in the toughest area according to the on-site doctor. I made it about 3-4 months, let’s just say you aren’t good for much when you get home at the end of the day 🤣 the money was good but not worth the stress on mind and body , best part about it was it got me motivated to get back in school lol
Little late, but how did you get a tour? Almost 7 years ago I think, I asked my dad to call and they said they don't do tours, or don't do them anymore or something.
amen these buses are awesome been on these multiple times for field trips going on the highway these things are beasts..these are my favs just like the Thomas Fs 65's and the C'2s
+mardoche bastien boi!!! Took the words right out of my mouth.. Our drivers are the worst. They are known to "put their foot down" if you will. My bus driver is the best... She taps the gas and the brakes.. All the other drivers don't know how to drive... That's why we have a lot of spare buses lol
These sure look different than the old International Harvester Loadstar bus, made by Wayne, that I used to ride on in the 1980s. I remember when they replaced the Loadstar with the newer "S series", I thought it was truly state-of-the-art. But this blows all that all to heck. I didn't know IC was International but that also explains why I never see new International buses anymore. Furthermore, I love the IC emblem logo--a shield, which evokes the mental image of protection, which is also exactly what you want to think of when transporting children.
+jerry sylvester Sorry, Thomas C2 takes the crown, your buses seats peel after 3 years, i know 50 year old thomas buses that have the original seats that havent peeled yet.
Jerry Sylvester actually I recently been inside of the 2005 IC RE 300 and some of the seats looked torn and the chair cushion itself managed to lift easily off the frame and the seals around those small AC units were coming loose
Buses have come along way. Buses now use automatic transmissions and disc brakes on all wheels. When I was young. Buses had drum brakes, gasoline engines, manual transmissions. Besides the disc brakes and automatics, they have diesel engines along with CNG Compressed Natural Gas and propane.
I drive a 2008 IC-RE (the flat nose version of the CE). Great comfort for the driver. Highly prefer my IC over trashy Thomas MVP's and their unsealed doors.
Our loader picks these busses up like nothing then our material handler can rip,the body off of the chassis. The body is not attached to the chassis very well.
You forced me to resign while on FMLA which is Illegal, while there you ran three metal containers of yellow paint that was not EPA compliant with Federal Standards you owe me back pay and sick leave and if not you will have my lawyer in house OSHA contacting you shortly signed Christina Louise King since 2012 or 2013
CLAWBOSS made this show in my recommended. Give him a new school bus IC :)

I like the old CE 200's and the t444e's. That engine sounds amazing

I thought that is the correct pronunciation?
Navistar made a great buy when the purchased AmTrans which then became IC Bus. AmTrans and now IC Bus Mae by far the best modern school busses

I'd take one on a cross country trip... And I'd make it back with no issues.. Very reliable buses..

The greatest Bus of all time!! We're a full IC CE fleet, and they're all great.. Though our drivers are not exactly the best ones lol 😝
+jerry sylvester Sorry, Thomas C2 takes the crown, your buses seats peel after 3 years, i know 50 year old thomas buses that have the original seats that havent peeled yet.
The seats do not peel.. It's probably because unlike many other districts with IC Buses we take care of our buses,
The top layer of vinyl peels off then you see the fabric underneath, at least of buses do, Guilford County.
I love that the buses are high off the ground so they can drive through high water.
Jerry Sylvester actually I recently been inside of the 2005 IC RE 300 and some of the seats looked torn and the chair cushion itself managed to lift easily off the frame and the seals around those small AC units were coming loose
I drive a 2008 CE every day. We have some Saf-T-Liner C2s in the fleet also, each has its pros and cons but ultimately I prefer my IC
C2 is best
love our Bus.
i love the school buses.forever.
Thanks in a million. Great content. Awesome. Grade: A++💥

You better thank CLAWBOSS for me coming here. He really out there informing the public!

Besides the disc brakes and automatics, they have diesel engines along with CNG Compressed Natural Gas and propane.
The IC's and Thomas's are slowly going away as the Pinellas county school district's fleet consists of mainly Blue Bird Visions.
I love IC bus so much
This is satisfying
2:35 and after adding antifreeze and coolant. Isn’t that the same thing?
Do you guys still make the ce200 with no IC logo above the door and the real short brown seats with black lines above and below the rear lights
Sad that you don't do any body dipping for rust prevention.
Ic bus i love you buses
Good building
I like your buses
After antifreeze & coolant. It's drivable. Antifreeze and coolant are the same thing.
i love the IC Buses
What is the little 4 digit number on the back door of a bus mean?
baudop baudop banana bus! XD
Dillon Smith if it wasn't bulit this tough lol
Dillon Smith omg people sing that SO LOUD on our bus (so do I) and our bus driver gets sooo mad
What about the blue or white buses
I like the IC ET445
Never heard of that one
I am fan ic ce 200 ic ce 300
Awesome
00:55 Damn, that dude should be a wrestler/boxer... but instead he makes school buses.
little detail. WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU HAVE THE CROSS VIEW MIRRORS SWITCHED IN THE INTRO?!?!?!?
That's the U S, in the UK the kids are ferried in vehicles that they wouldn't sell ice cream from!

The best bus
What was the music in this video?

School bus improvement:. With LED lamps, why can't we have a bus sized STOP on the entire back of the bus.
I ride a ford f450 mini bus.
What is the music

What engines is used? Cummins?
Yes they are Cummins engines
