Don't know why this is popping up on my YT feed now, but that's fine, I hadn't listened to it in a long time. Very pleasant, and smooth. Rita's always had a way with Brazilian music. And Portuguese too, for that matter.
This is so gorgeous. My favourite straight version. The Spalding/Parlato version , voice, voice and double bass, is wholly original and opens new musical vistas. It makes me wonder what a Rita/Magali Datzira album might do.
Many girls have covered Jobim since Astrud, but I wonder what he would have thought of if he could have heard the likes of Rita, Andrea, Eva, Magali, Alba, and Elia singing to his music??? The girls, now ladies, of the SAJB, are just so brilliant!!Thank you Rita for this beautiful offering!

Backtracking all the way through last year on one of her Facebook pages, I found her mention making the recording in December of 2018. A few days before this video was posted, she posted a list of her music available on Spotify, and My Ideal was not included. Just wondering. Seems to be a deliberate -- and strange -- omission.
