Awesome stuff, Karl, very helpful! We bought our house in Abruzzo last October, moved in, did a ton of renovations and now we are living here full time! Ever in Abruzzo, you have a drink on me! Your videos were very helpful and we used some of your tips during the buying process.
This trip was incredible. Was amazing to connect with other like-minded individuals and Karl and his team hosted us in a major way. Their team was super knowledgeable and walked us through the entire process. An experience I'll never forget, especially because we plan on buying in Mussomeli soon!
Hi Karl. It's been a while since I commented, but now I just had to. I love your commitment to Sicily and I love how your are trying to make others see what you (and many more - myself included) see in this island. I started following your channel a few years ago precisely because of your Sicily content. I have used your videos as inspiration for our Sicily dreams. After several years of visiting for holidays, we finally took the leap and moved to Sicily for a longer period. We are currently 3 months in to a 9-month stay in Catania, and it has confirmed our suspicions - we never want to leave. Thank you for your informative and inspiring videos, and for making it all seem possible 🙏
@@Karl__Pierre Sorry, Karl, I missed your reply. Thank you for your kind words. We didn't need to secure a visa because we are European Union citizens. We sorted out jobs and accommodation beforehand and then simply moved from Finland to Sicily. There was a little bit of paperwork, of course, but within the EU it's pretty straightforward.
@ On 2026 I’ll get Italian citizenship and I’m planning to settle somewhere in Italy. Every video from you is appreciated and have for sure inspires me to buy and do some work to get what I’d like to get. Cheers.
This is fantastic. I love the way this upload was presented with real people seriously considering making such a huge life change. I am on the threshold of making a similar decision so keep the videos coming.
Great video man! thanks for documenting and sharing this experience! I remember in 2020 the video of your first visit to Sicily, long way since... And amazing final results for the renovation
This is great. I was wondering how the trip went with people wanting to buy in Mussomeli. I will be there next year or sooner Karl. Thank you for all you do. Orlando
07:45 and 08:00 I liked the ready-to-live-in homes with small asking prices. On your next tour, I would be interested in that type of home to purchase in a seaside town like Castellammare del Golfo.
That's the town one of my great-grandfathers came from , it's on the sea it's very beautiful and today it's very expensive!! 😍 But good luck. I'll be there soon. A presto.
This is awesome and gives me hope! My partner and I just moved to Sicily and would love to walk around Mussomeli. We're not sure if we want to buy a house here yet, but this seems much more reasonable than trying to buy a house in the states.
Yes! Please send me an updated of the trip. I thought you mentioned that you were not going to do more tours at this time. I have a question 🙋🏼♀️ I have a flight credit with United, can I use if I go with you? I think they’re asking us for a new visa as well when we travel to Europe now 😅are you aware of the changes for this year?
@TheVitalHabits not this one is for sale. I have 3 properties there the one that is for sale will be available starting June at which point I will start to market it a little more aggressively.
@ cool thanks! We have been investigating investing in Sicily but more for rental/potential vacation home. Your costs were very affordable but the only concern is ROI there. Keep sharing! Been following along for a while.
@TheVitalHabits not on airbnb but sometimes to friends of the channel that are visiting. I was renting my other home out in airbnb and grew tired of it.
After renovating the house, if you needed to sell it for some reason, are these homes easily sold? How long does it take to sell? And do you recoup your total expenses?
Not easily sold. These are suitable for flipping at all. These properties are meant to be homes or summer homes that you hold on to without a financial or recovery plan. Most buyers see it as a way to fix housing costs, start over, or get away/retirement home.
Even not being a rich person, i could afford a house and some renovations easily (at least in many areas). BUT, I can't stop thinking about the chances i would recover my investment if i needed to leave Italy.
All depends where you buy. If you buy in a populated area, city, tourist town you will recover if you buy in a town that is shrinking/rural i wouldn't even think about recovering and encourage everyone to think of it from the perspective of buying a personal purchase.
I don’t know brother. With the rise of far right in Europe, the xenophobic rhetoric I genuinely don’t feel safe or comfortable in Europe. Love your videos though and the work you do. Would maybe do something like this as a passion project to flip though one day.

Hope to see you there! I'll be sure to swing by if I'm in the area.
@ZackP1 I’m looking to purchase in Abruzzo region. How did you find the process to buy. Also, the renovation did you do the work?

Amazing story, and happy for you. How did you secure a long term visa, what method did you use?

I'd love to see more content like this especially when it's about renovations and final results.
I can only do so many purchases a year lol

Glad you enjoy it! What places are you considering?
Your videos are just brilliant. I have said the same thing on a few of your videos, so I'm sorry to repeat myself ... but you are an INSPIRATION!
Well thank you for the feedback. My team works incredibly hard to improve the quality of the content we release
Excellent video you made me rethink things.
Good, the goal was to inspire you!

Very great informative video

Ok, the price point in Castellammare and Mussomeli are different. Do you have a budget in mind?
@@Karl__Pierre What would those two homes go for in Castellammare del Golfo?
@roundtwo3321 similar to the one I toured 160-250k depending on condition. The next video of this tour covers Castellammare Del Golfo.

Great video as always. If they had this program in Portugal I would be very interested
You can find cheap homes in rural Portugal
Karl I'm headed back to Sicily as we speak. I might add your town to my stopover list as i explore the south coast of Sicily.
Nice! If you do stay at Monfredomus BNB
Will check it out. Stuck in Palermo with car problem. Supposed to get fixed on Tuesday....

A new video 🎉Finally my friend, is nice hearing from you. To bad I couldn’t make that trip 😢
I miss you too, hope you can make the next one!

Great share! Is this the one that you put up for sale or do you have two different properties there

When you buy do you get residency here? Or is it for investment purposes only?
Investment/personal purposes only. Have to go at a higher price point for the golden visa.
@@Karl__Pierreare you renting this property out on Airbnb?

@@Karl__Pierre Thankyou.
I know some people are apprehensive about €1 homes but just think what you can get for twice the money
lolololol
hows it work with citizenship? if your not one
You have to consult with an immigration attorney to explore options.
It's possible for Indian can buy & Seattle in Italy?
Can buy and settle with appropriate visa.

Bro there's no recovery. Buy what you like, live there till you die, pass it on to your children. That all you can hope for.
What about real houses? Like the USA where I'm from. These houses are like townhomes/condos. If you can explore houses, that would be great!
Freestanding farmhouses?
