I feel like I had to leave a comment after watching your new video!! I LOVE your style, it's classic with a contemporary twist, and it doesn't fail to inspire my outfit ideas. Sometimes when I have something in my wardrobe I really want to wear but don't know what to pair with it, I just watching your videos and get inspirations. I was actually just telling my partner a night ago that I get outfit ideas from your channel and get more affordable and accessible alternatives at Uniqlo. That's why this video was a pleasant surprise for me, and you look great in that red plaid shirt and I think the cable sweater would look nice too if it was in your size.
Thanks so much for your comment, Alea. You nailed my style--I always say it's classic with a modern sensibility. Happy to inspire. More good stuff coming soon!
@@hespokestyle Haha, I was ailing (no joke, I am sick at home). I had no idea this was a video from last year. I already noticed the unusual high views but didn't cop on to that. Even more embarrassing, I also commented on this haul before. 😎
I love them for basic items, discovered them in the Philippines on vacation. I think you're right, they run big. I have to go to a medium here in the US. Nice video, bro.
Those pieces looked fine on you (even the tight pants), the gloves particularly; like you, I'm devoted to browns and rusts this time of year, even in Los Angeles. I've found their items are good on their own (I have five), but not when you put it against a higher end piece (I used a Uniqlo gray cotton v-neck sweater under a Canali silk/cashmere jacket, and the quality difference was noticable; and not in a good way). But fine for what they offer. Good price points in that space. Big haul, so it's fun to see all those AW pieces in a row. Thanks for making it.
Thanks, Bobby. Yeah, there's definitely no comparing supremely high quality pieces with Uniqlo, but you get a very decent product for the price. Glad to meet a fellow lover of the earth tones!
I'm 21 and your style is outstanding man. You have definitely just earned yourself a subscriber, amazing haul and video. What brand Chelsea boots are those at the side btw? Do you have a shoe collection video?
Thanks so much! Appreciate the compliments! Boots from back to front: Coach, Paul Evans NYC, To Boot New York. Don't have a shoe collection video... yet.
Nice thing about Uniqlo is that they're so big you can get their (already affordable) clothing for nothing second hand. I probably have a dozen or so chinos from them in perfect condition that I paid €5 a piece. It's a pretty nice way of making a casual closest when you're broke. They do come in 30 and 32" inseem as well. I'm slightly taller then you and the 32 gives me a perfect break. Give a try to their linen pants as well, they're really comfy to stay home or summer.
Thanks for the video I'm new at Uniqlo like a lot of what I'm checking out have already put a couple of items in my "add to bag" online I noticed in your video most of the articles you purchase were in a size small normally that's the size I go with when I'm inside the mall shopping but I thought perhaps I should size up you appear to be a little larger than me but the sizes look great on you perfect fit so maybe I should stick with my size those pj's are awesome got to add them to my order again thanks for the great video

i like uniqlo. they are great for casual wear. however, they do have some pieces that can be dressed up, like the merino wool knitwear. about the buffalo check shirt - i have sth similar in offwhite-grey-black colour scheme. i think it's great for casual wear but definitely not for tucking in. and i wish uniqlo lined up the patterns from the yoke/sleeves to the main torso.
i bought a 4lb heavy crewneck snowflake wool sweater i wear it all year round even if it is over 100 degrees i always wear blue denim jeans with my sweater.
Is that a SpyderCo? Wish you had talked about each piece more. I'm thinking about getting some of their chinos, t-shirts, and a definitely a sweater now.
You need a sloping shoulder adjustment probably half an inch to three quarter of an inch to get rid of those drag lines coming up from under your armpit. Go made to measure, off the rack only fits the mannequins they were created for.
Uniqlo pants have a hem option -- I personally wear a 33 waist 31 length and uniqlo fits the bill. This option is available for jeans, dress pants, etc.
Brian please do a review of the woolrich arctic parka, because I'm looking for a great winter coat. I'm not sure which one to get the canada goose parka or woolrich parka, thnx in advance
Feel like I couldn't offer a great comparison because I've never owned one from Canada Goose. For me, the decision was brand-based. I like Woolrich and have had a couple other pieces of theirs. Plus, I didn't want to be another dude walking around with the round goose patch on my jacket. 😀
I'm 5'8 and 120 pounds and i ordered a xs linen shirt, while the quality is good its all around to big and large, do you think it's just a problem with quality control?
Thanks! I know what you mean about how it seems like it might be itchy. This one is not. I also have one from J.Crew from about 10 years ago that has only gotten softer with age.
While I was watching this video, I was thinking if you could make some vlogs in the future. I like the look of Brunello Cucinelli but it's very expensive. Will you create those expensive men's look with the brand like Uniqlo or something not expensive?
The "look for less" thing really isn't my jam, so you definitely won't be seeing any videos along those lines. It's just not a match with the brand identity we've crafted over the past six years. I understand that different people have different budgets, but I don't want to give "cheap" options for items that are on the more expensive side. Hi Brian, I'm thinking about buying some basics from uniqlo, we seem to have similar bodies, but I have a bit more belly :p around 161lbs, but I guess I have somewhat the same shoulder width (many brands like Zara, H&M, Mango I wear basically M), according to the uniqlo charts and info I put there they said I'm a size M, but S looks perfect on you so maybe I'm better try the S size?! not sure if you could help but any info would be great, unfortunately we don't have a uniqlo store here in Portugal, thank you :)
Hey, first video and I subbed. Great content, absolutely loved the haul and I absolutely love Uniqlo as well. The pieces fit you awesome. Im curious though, what are those jeans youre wearing throughout most of the video? Damn those fit you perfectly and they look awesome. Cheers from Brazil!
We don’t have this shop in my country, or at least it’s not prominent. But on my travels throughout South East Asia, I saw it everywhere... Judging the prices, I dismissed the shop too easily because I thought that the clothes won’t be of good quality if they’re on the cheaper side. I wish you’d done this video a month ago because I would have definitely given them a chance!
Hmmm, your call. I'm a little taller and have 15 lbs on you so that might work. Best advice I can give is to order both a S and XS and send back the one you don't like. Return process is very easy and your order will come with a prepaid return shipping label. Let me know how you make out.
On the cardigan... their sweater fits aren't very consistent year to year. I've had years where I bought medium, other years where large fit better, for the same kinda of sweater (they always have the merino crew/v-necks and cashmere). Same story with their oxford shirts
How do the cardigans hold up? I just bought 6 of them yesterday. I'm afraid they are going to get messed up after a few washings. I have 60 days to return them if one of them proves to be crappy, lol.
@@shovelcharge did you buy the cotton cardigans or wool? if you got the wool then I wouldn't wash them, even if it says you can. Only dry clean. If cotton, wash them but don't put them in the dryer... Just hang dry. I think their wool products have pretty good consistent quality for the money. The cotton stuff is not as consistent and depending on the particular item I found some of them pill more than others. But usually the staple items that are in their yearly rotation, which these are, are pretty solid for the money
@@Stan_sprinkle I got a fine merino wool cardigan, the exact same one featured in the video. Ya, I should never put a sweater in a dryer, and I only let them lay flat when I am not wearing them. Upon further review, the other ones I got are 87% linen and 13% nylon...so I don't know what to expect, lol.
@@shovelcharge yeah me neither... I've seen those in the past, but I find that those blend fabrics from Uniqlo are hit or miss. Stretch Chinos, jeans, oxfords, pure wool, and cashmere are usually reliable
how do most small items look so large on you......you look to be fairly tall atleast 5 10.........interesting i like uniqlo but find many items can be hit or miss thanks for the review
Send them an email and ask if they'll reimburse you for the difference of the sale price. A lot of companies will do that if you ordered "x" number of days before it went on sale. I signed up for Paribus (it's free), and what it does is tracks your online purchases to see if items went on sale. It connects to your email address and will actually send an email to the company from your email address requesting the difference to be refunded every time it detects an item you purchased went on sale. For example, I purchased a pair of Chinos from JCrew this summer. Paribus detected that they went on sale in July, sent JCrew an email, and they refunded me $13.21. Just a little tip ;)
I have the same issues with uniqlo and their pants. Their slim fit is too small in the thighs and their regular fit is too baggy. Also unfortunate they only sell 34" inseam as that adds $10 to the cost for me to go have them hemmed.
Finding a good OTR pair of chinos has been a never-ending quest for me. I was cautiously optimistic here, but alas. One of the other commenters mentioned that Uniqlo will do the hem for free? I didn't get that far in the process to know for myself (though they might say that on the website...).
Great videos as always Brian! Uniqlo is one of my favourite stores, especially for the price. Although, I'm surprised you didn't try out some of their cashmere sweaters... :)
My wardrobe has been slowly replaced by more Uniqlo pieces. They also have alterations online for pants so I don't have to go the tailor to have it hemmed.
No idea! I was surprised when I didn't see it on the website as I was getting all the links together. I've had that happen before. It's possible things sell out. I know that when there are items I really like, often times they're out of my size. That along with the price is incentive to pull the trigger when you can.
Which piece is your favorite?

On the cardigan... their sweater fits aren't very consistent year to year. I've had years where I bought medium, other years where large fit better, for the same kinda of sweater (they always have the merino crew/v-necks and cashmere). Same story with their oxford shirts
stan_sprinkle interesting. Thanks for dropping that knowledge!
Awesome video as always
Many thanks! Appreciate the support, as always.
Im 5'3" 145ish. Would you suggest xs on top pieces?
Hmmmm, idk. I'd recommend ordering both a small and xs and seeing which you like best.
@@hespokestyle will do thanks.
You got it!
how do most small items look so large on you......you look to be fairly tall atleast 5 10.........interesting i like uniqlo but find many items can be hit or miss thanks for the review
Hey, Grant. I'm 5' 9", 155 lbs. Very lean. Agree that some Uniqlo items are good, some not so much. Love the turtlenecks.
Nice! Thanks for that. Will look into it.
Free regular hem for pants(like Chinos & Jeans) $19.90 and over. Pants with blind stitch (Dress pants) have $5-$10 charge.
Great videos as always Brian! Uniqlo is one of my favourite stores, especially for the price. Although, I'm surprised you didn't try out some of their cashmere sweaters... :)
Thanks a lot! Don't have to try them out because I already own some of them!
My wardrobe has been slowly replaced by more Uniqlo pieces. They also have alterations online for pants so I don't have to go the tailor to have it hemmed.
Interesting. How is that service? Do they get it right?
Why is that cable knit not made anymore, gah!
No idea! I was surprised when I didn't see it on the website as I was getting all the links together. I've had that happen before. It's possible things sell out. I know that when there are items I really like, often times they're out of my size. That along with the price is incentive to pull the trigger when you can.
You sir have style
Many thanks! Appreciate the comment.
Brian how tall are you?
It's in the description, but 5' 9", 155 lbs. 😊
How tall are you dude?
Vinheim 5’9”. 155lbs.

What a hunk.
😀 Too kind. 😊
Nice haircut
Arthur Tan thanks! Had the same haircut for like seven years now.
what is your height ?
In the description... but... 5' 9", 155 lbs.
He Spoke Style oooops, sorry. I'm always slow . ihihih
No worries.
Great content. In my humble opinion you should work on your rounded shoulder to add an extra inch to your overall height.
Appreciate the support. I'm not sensitive about my height.
If you own a Spyderco... Are you a knife guy?
love the style and fit of uniqlo's clothes in the store but more often than not their clothes shrink dramatically after the first wash :(
