Hi, do you still have a referral code? Ami Paris sweatshirt is fire btw🔥
Its not active anymore :(
Hey Tim! Where can I get those Acne Studio Black Tailored Trousers? They’re no longer on the site in the description 😢
What about the opposite version of this as well? The cheap clothing you’ve worn the most?
would love to see this as well!
same
Oh don’t worry it’s in the works ;)
@@TimDessaint nice!!!
@@TimDessaint sheesh noti on gang
Remember, money doesn’t buy style! If you can’t afford some of these pieces it’s absolutely fine and with some research you can most likely find similar, more affordable alternatives. You can still use this as inspiration for outfit ideas and styling possibilities with your own wardrobe. But also… the Top 10 Affordable Clothing Items version is coming soon! 😊
I don’t agree with any of these purchases for example those Prada boots. Are you telling me you couldn’t find any black 100% top grain leather boots out there for half the price of Prada? Just come out and say I want people to know I’m wearing Prada that I have money. Don’t talk about quality, talk about you buying because of the name. I bet you wouldn’t buy those exact same boots if it didn’t say Prada right?
I just found the lookalike of your ami wool coat on zara. Realy cheap and good i guess
I agree I think designer versions of leather goods aren't really worth it you can buy really high-quality heirloom boots for $500 you might even be able to get a bespoke pair for 1000
@@michaelramirez2881 That’s fine, we just have different styles and that’s all okay :)
And there is literally not a single element of branding on those boots that could allude to which brand they’re from. I purchased those shoes because I love their design: the shape of the toe, the elevated, bit more rugged sole, the subtle sheen of the leather. I looked for the perfect pair of Chelsea boots for months before finally pulling the trigger on these.
Not that there’s anything wrong with buying something because you associate with a brand by the way (although that’s not my cup of tea, I tend to prefer more minimal, less branded clothing 80-90% of the time), but no shade to anyone who would do that. Spend your money however you like :)
@@michaelramirez2881 actually got ratioed
that cost per wear ratio was an amazing piece of advise! I'm usually really hesitant with buying clothes but I got myself a 100€ down coat this winter (which was waaay over my usual budget) but I wore it every day until it got too warm and now I feel like I absolutely got my money's worth of wear and I'm going to wear it for years to come!
"cost per wear" im the best in this i have nike sb chrone 2 i think. i bought them for skatebording but i also had othere shoes for that so i just started wearing them casuly, ther cost was 50$ and i have them for over 2 years (730days) i wear them almost everyday so lets say 650days what give us about 0.08$ per wear and they stil look good
I bought a down jacket and so far got 2 winters use, this is the 3rd winter defo made back my money
I recently splurged on some black chelsea boots from beckett simonon and some black/tan axel arigato catfish lo's. I usually never spend that much money on shoes, but every time I put them on I feel like a million bucks. It's nice to treat yourself sometimes, but only when I truly love what I see.
Love that for you! That’s what it’s about 🙌😀
@@TimDessaint thanks Tim, love your vids
I can relate to your introduction to Acne Studios wool mohair trousers and bla konst jeans, as they are among the clothes that work particularly well in my actual wardrobe. They are minimalist yet sophisticated patterns that complete most outfits with ease. Personally, I would recommend the Issey Miyake Homme Plisse pleated pants. They are not inexpensive, but they are so good in portability, functionality, comfort, and beauty that you don't need anything else if you have these pants.
Hey Tim I would love to see a video on how to fold different kinds of clothes (especially pants) properly to avoid creases and other unpleasantries. Also how to hang them properly when drying them. I guess a general "how to take proper care of your clothes" kind of video, as I feel this is a very important aspect that is often glossed over. It's easy to completely ruin a good piece of clothing if you don't know how to take proper care of it. Great video as always, love from Denmark
I bought a fairly inexpensive leather biker racer jacket in off white with stripes on the sleeves this year. I must have gotten 100 compliments on this jacket throughout the fall and winter. It looks kind of upscale and sporty at the same time. The color went with any outfit. Black leather jackets are great but enough already... this jacket i have breaks from that mold. Love it.
I definitely agree on the cost per wear mindset! If you know what type of fits/pieces work for you and there's a pricier but perfect option, I definitely think it's worth the purchase. I've made the mistake of purchasing technically "cheaper" options that I ended up wearing once or twice before it never saw the light of day. The cost per wear for my more quality, staple pieces in my wardrobe ended up being far lower in the long run!
I love that AMI Paris White Oversized Sweater it looks so comfortable and it fits Tim so well
I would really love to get the black leather Prada boots they're honestly such a versatile piece and can be worn with so many outfits and adds to the look aswell. In my opinion its one of the most worthwhile purchases you can make considering how versatile and cool they look on almost any outfit.
my favourite piece is definitely that Issey Miyake pants. it just looks so relaxed but elevated at the same time🤌🏻
I purchased the Ami Paris sweater cuz of you and it worths every penny! Great video as always Tim 💕
Love all of these pieces! Definitely stand by investing in pieces that I wear often, especially coats and shoes! I'd be super interested to know if you have any items that are in the 'expensive clothing items I DO regret buying' category.
#4 has the same silhouette as my Sandro jacket! I got it secondhand for less than $20 and even got complimented on it from a vintage store owner in Paris but hands down to #7 that coat looks amazing! I really like the silhouette but I think I would prefer it in another shade like closer to camel or a medium charcoal. Great picks! :)
Oh hello, I am out of the country right now and unable to re-download telegram. Can I do this in 4 weeks or will it be too late?
The Ami brown wool jacket is amazing. For a great deal on a similar cut look for vintage military dress jackets. They tend to be all wool (although mostly olive or tan of course) but have a somewhat similar look and cut at only a fraction of the price!
Awesome video as always Tim! And this is a good type of Flex! I am always conscious of spending money on clothes (with exception of watches) but seeing this video gave me a little more interest to look into it and invest in some clothing.
Why capital “F” on flex
What a great content! Style, editing, item picks - just wow.
The Homme Plissé pants and Prada chelsea boots are crazy, love the Ami sweaters as well
Awesome list definitely gonna get a couple of the pieces that varsity jacket and the ami sweater are definitely on top of my list
Good to see u back tim🥰🥰
I need your version for women clothes 🙈 love your videos, so well structured and explained
would love a video on how to choose the clothes and brands that'll fit you.
My final determining factor is how it makes me feel. My Allsaints Tobias boots make me feel like a badass and i also feel real stylish in a virgin wool overcoat that I got from Mr. Porter on clearance ($1,100 -> $350). That feeling of confidence is priceless to me. If it ain't perfect, it ain't worth it.
How do you think fashion is different from other art forms. And how do you think they are similar. You don’t necessarily have to respond. But it’s an interesting concept to think about. I’ve also found that thinking of fashion in relation to other art forms allows me to view it through a new lense.
nice! .. I honestly don't buy clothes often at all and just watch you only because the minimalistic look in your videos releases my stress , but today I discovered we are the same height and almost same weight so will pay closer attention to the brand recommendations, thanks :)
Reoresent is a cool brand, their recent collections though I feel leave a lot to be desired. I wish they would do something similar to their 2016 dusk collection. That was amazing.
I would say buy a lesser known brand for chelsea boots like trickers, crockett and jones, loake, you can get the same silhouette for half the £850 price but probably will be made better.
In fact brands like prada often go to lesser known brands to produce their high end footwear, look at RRL, they use cheaney to make their boots and you can get near identical boots with the cheaney’s being around £350 and the RRL heading towards £800
While i agree with you of gettng the even\better quality is easily achivable with boots, sadly for many (including me) what matters the most is the shape of the chelsea. Look at wyatts, yeah they are overpriced for what they are, but i havent found anything comparable
Have you found any alternatives with the same details? Like slightly chunky/casual but still elegant
You are right, Prada owns shoes company called Church, with half of Prada price you could get overall same or even better things
@@tominotopia for wyatts check out the harness boots from “from the first”. Would run you about 400usd. it’s great quality and they have a range of boots as that’s what they mostly make. Got a pair myself. Fits perfect but Breaking in sometimes is a bitch tho
@@Redolentleek Thanks for the recommendation, already have a from the first pair :D breaking in a bitch indeed, however i still stand with Wyatt being distinct enough
Wow, I am impressed / charmed that you handled all the criticism with Class.
I loved the video its refreshing to see someone talk positively and geninuely enjoy them with good financial health.
I see you are in a season of Off size clothes not my cup of tea, but I see you chose your signature style.
Awesome man love the video 📸
I spent £675 on this gorgeous pastel yellow cashmere cardigan. I bought cheaper first (a £300 cashmere alternative) and instantly felt the difference so chose the expensive option. I wore it almost everyday during winter, I even felt sorry for it and my fiancé told me it’s probably grown legs. So I bought a £295 cashmere jumper as an alternative in mink brown. I’m a sucker for cashmere.
That brown wool jacket has the exact silhouette as my 30-40 year old denim jacket, its great
Love how you style all the outfits.
Tim you’re my inspiration ❤️❤️
Love your videos Tim, keep grinding and take breaks if you need it!
What is that sweater you wearing throughout the Video?
We need a top ten that you do regret! Great Video!
Yeah! I think that would be fun and probably funny
Oooh this would be a fun video for sure!
Hi Tim. Again thanks for the awesome content. Can you please make a video about mens indigo or dark blue straight fit high waist jeans (a.p.c high waist straight fit)? Like tucking in a plain white tshirt and pairing it with some basic leather belt? Would realy appriciate that.
the varsity jacket at the end is definitely worth the money. great purchase, great video too
Of course I ❤ed Issey Miyake, but, I must say, I also liked the sweater you wore during the presentation. Beautiful color, and certainly very good fabric too‼️👍🏽
The Acne Studios Trousers look really cute, love the high waisted, makes it a little more vintage style
your content inspires me to try something different. waiting on the affordable clothing items video tho hahaha
Right now I am obsessed at going to wet markets to buy fabrics that costs just around 3 US dollars per yard and finding a tailor to make me my own shirts, trousers and over shirts. I usually give them Uniqlo clothing pieces as an example. One time I found a tailor that makes uniforms for the Army and I commissioned him to sew me an army combat jacket/shirt made of denim. I was satisfied with the result!

Hey Tim! Lovely video as always. I wonder why the Saint Laurent Wyatt Harness Black Leather Chelsea Boots didn’t get a mention.
Thanks Tim!
I’d say if you want to spend big and your wallets aren’t deep, one thing to look for is where it’s made. Working for upscale department companies, it became apparent which brands are charging high prices but production can be in low wage countries. Every brands have their margins, but sometimes it’s the brand itself that people will buy on - thinking it’s of higher quality .
I love the Issey Miyake pleats so beautiful
Love that you said that Tim money doesn’t buy style it’s in you, not on you, I love all those pieces bro, and that fear of god jacket is a masterpiece, also those home plisses are fire bro
The coat is quite good because you can't get covert or cavalry wool coats RTW these days and vintage ones may fit weird. You would need to go bespoke or MTM which might end up being similar to the fog price
Anyway
That Fear of God jacket is perfection 😩
not so perfection when u see the price tag lol
I am very interested in the floating shelve behind you since you did your home tour video. Now I’m renovating my home, may I know where I can get it from?
What was the jacket you wore with the Acne trousers? Love the texture
Not gonna lie Tim as someone who's is in highschool that can't depend on himself with money and always gets it from his father when I see influencers like u wear that beautiful peaces but way too pricey I feel some sort of jealousy but the comment u pined made me cheer one day I will be getting my own paycheck by my own sweat and buy the beautiful peaces that I want , I hope you make best clothes on budget because I need new clothes but the bank isn't that full keep the hard work😁😁
I wear my black Uniqlo ez pants almost every day so I’m definitely gonna check out those Acne trousers
Could you do a video on jewelries? Like finding the right sizes etc etc
now these are my fav. BTW love the content tim
this is the video I never knew I needed
I respect most of the great design of clothing, nice fabrics, cutting and brand history that’s made you fresh every second a day, but the prefect body you have also important.
Just discovered you and I’m already obsessed! Where did you buy that grey hoodie that appears a lot?
Haven't pull the trigger yet in any other piece than shoes, but I may start soon. My experience with luxury brand (and high quality-it may not always be the same) shoes is that they are timeless and really worth it.
Hey ! Love your vidéos and the different styles on your channel. Did you ever try the represent pants ? I'm pretty fan of the brand :)
Hey Tim! Love the video as usual. May I ask what’s the brand of the suit featured at 9:36? Such a stunning fit. Thank you!
one of my favorite videos
watching this channel makes me think I should improve my wardrobe.
hold on I'm making a trip to the thrift store BRB!
Hi Tim, thank you for code. Just purchased Vivien Westwood T-shirts and N.Peal suspenders. Greetings from Kazakhstan!
Hey Tim love ur content!!! I recently got myself the AMI oversize jumper also 100% wool, love it but I would love to get some tips on how u wash or clean it cuz I don't normally wear wool clothing
Hey, I'm getting the same one right now and I saw your comment. Di you get any tips regarding the wash?
where is the sweater you're wearing in the video from? great look !!
Love the video! Can I get a tag on the sweater you wore throughout the video?
Hello, Tim! I was curious if Off-White OOO are better than AF1? I mean from the point of view of comfort and appearance. I like OOO a lot and would like to know if I should buy one in the near future. Thank you!
How many times do you do laundry in a week/month? Or what is your laundry routine? Or do you use dry cleaning a lot? I am always curious how fashion people keep their clothes crisp and pristine!
Love your style
maybe make some vids about how to maintain these expensive clothes, such as sweaters, and the wool coats.
Was surprised to not see the Loewe houndstooth coat here 👀 is that a purchase you regret/don’t think was worth in hindsight? Also as others said in the comments, would love to see expensive purchases that you DO regret!
Can't agree more on the boots!
I got a pair of boots from Crockett and Jones and damn they are worth £450!
I looked at it not per wear but per year that I can keep them.
If a pair of boots can serve me for 5-10 years, I will 100% wear them long enough to drop the per wear price significantly!

AMI sweater is the best!! good quality!!
This video motivated me to buy some of these ......so plz make next video about clothing items that you regret buying 🙏🏻😅
That sweater you are wearing 🤤 it’s calling my name
Would love to know the name of that blazer you wore with the acne studios trousers. Looks incredible.
Ami Paris is fire, got same color cardigan
Great video once again🔥 I'd love a most expensive clothes I regret buying video next😂
I'm not sure since he's been going this for a long time and put a lot of thought into it
Loving that mockneck and woohoo finally the partnership 🥳🔥
I really love all of your videos. They help me to be more confident and I deeply thank you brother that I can decide or choose the most suitable outfits whenever I hangout with my friends or go to parties ......btw I am your fan from Myanmar

What sweater are you wearing in the video? Beautiful ivory color
Great video. I just bought a pair of Tod’s Gommino drivers. At $600 it’s the most expensive shoes I’ve ever bought. Amazing shoes. Ferragamos next….
love the camera quality, what camera + lens do you use?
hi love your video what size did you buy for the Acne Studios Black Tailored Trousers and Acne Studios 1996 Straight Fit Jeans?? i can only buy online. and it seems we are the same size.
Les articles que tu possèdes sont incroyables!
I got a cdg wakame jacket for 50$ (confirmed real). Absolutely insane, found it secondhand, unused, with tags still on. Super happy since I would never be able to afford something like that. It’s 1.3k new
Cant wait for summer where the only clothes i can wear without burning alive are a basic T and jeans lol, great vid as always tim !
Can you share more details on the style/code of the Ami white sweater. It seems like the ones of their website have logos with rougher edges and this one looks better finished.
Let's go Tim/team!
I've been looking for a varsity jacket. And the Represent one got my attention. But £400 hmm not so sure yet but the jacket got the colours I'm looking for. We shall see.. 🤔
I own an axel arigato varsity jacket that looks really similar but it’s half the price of the represent one. You should check them out
try looking on grailed for used stussy or number 9 varsity, you can find some really really good ones for under 100
only things i own from represent are t shirts cuz everything else too expensive 💀
Not worth the price tag for £400 & fake leather sleeves. Really disappointed they didn't use genuine leather and the sellout on the back really puts me off
Been watching your vids for 3 yrs! Just curious what is that sweater ur wearing in the video I really like it lol
Tim! Where are the two pairs of trousers you are wearing at 01:32 from please?
Do you have a bit more affordable alternative to the out of office sneakers, but something more like it? I just really am not feeling the ml574s
2:30 - tell me more about this jacket...
I used to buy expensive sweaters, then one got stained with pen ink and is ruined forever… nowadays I only buy expensive stuff that is not delicate or easy to get damaged. that Ami sweater is not on my list. 😂
I wanted the Ami jacket but it sells like water in the desert… Farfetch only has size L and XL
The one knitted pullover you’re wearing during this video where did you bought this? Cause it’s more cooler than this whole collection
Great pieces all look excellent quality. But at some point someone needs to calculate at what price an item becomes more about the brand than the quality. Sure those 850 Prada boots are excellent quality but are they any different from any Chelsea boot priced at 250 with similar quality ?
I would like to know what's the sweater you are wearing while filming?
