- The Sonic the Hedgehog films are lovely little movies, we all know that. And while I do have my reservations, about the second film, they are decently crafted and definitely scratch that Sonic Movie itch that we’ve been waiting for nearly 30 years for. But before the Sonic Movies, there was a Sonic film that was less well received. That being the 2013 Sonic fan film by Blue Core Studios. Now it’s only 18 and a half minutes long, but I assure you, that’s certainly long enough for me to criticise. And I’m not gonna go easy on it cause it’s a fan film, in fact that’s just more reason to complain about it, cause I just love putting fan creations down.

And I think that's the only good thing about this Fan Made movie.... Nah, not really. That Sonic design from *"Blue Core Studios"* always seemed horrible to me.
At least the one from the first Paramount film was repaired, but the *"Blue Core Studios"* never was.

@@NebulaSon well if you take into account how much it takes to make a model this is pretty good for a fan film and at least it’s not an abomination like movie sonic was. The current movie sonic is awesome though it’s better than the fan film for sure but they are both good

They’re not official films anyway, so there’s no way you can count Fan Films as part of Hollywood.
@@kasam0308 That still shouldn't really give them a free pass of criticism. Besides, that's only the case if you want to compare it to Hollywood. Fan made things should still be criticized through their own perspective.
4:23 Variety. If you are a creator of robots and a creative genius, and wanting to conquer the world, having the same model design for your robot army limits what you can do with your robots at a given moment.
idc abt any flaw, brings back a lot of nostalgia and I love the story, its not good qaulity wise but its a great fan film to watch for the fun of it

I wish they had Jaheel White as the voice for the movie Sonic, I understand they wanted to change the design a little bit for the movie but they could have changed it to suit Jaheel voice.

If there's one thing I can take away from this film, it's the fact that Jaleel White doesn't work as Sonic anymore. And to those who want him to return as Classic Sonic, I think you should see this fan film. You may argue that he doesn't work for the modern design and could totally still voice Classic Sonic, if you played a voice clip from this fan-film over an image of Classic Sonic, it wouldn't sound right for a voice that deep to come from a character that's short and stocky.

This is the 1st thing I thought of after hearing the 1st sonic movie
What times did I also see it on my mom's cell phone when it appeared in recommendations?
Honestly, part of me likes the ideas of the fan film more than the Paramount movies, while the budget obviously doesn't stack up and this is done just by a bunch of amateur film directors; for me it just feels a lot more "Sonic" than the first film and even the second film did. Especially the first film felt like a generic "fantasy race stuck on Earth" script with a fast character who could be replaced with anyone else; only really tied together with some decent emotional scenes. While Sonic movie 2 is a step forward and step back in parts, since it introduces more Sonic iconography; it has a much weaker script than the first movie to the point where it feels like 15 minutes of the film could be taken out and repurposed for more character development and exploration into the new characters of Tails and Knuckles and it also suffers from being a sequel to the first movie which had a poor foundation to expand on more of the Sonic aspects.
Which is why I like the fan film's ideas more, because it definitely feels more like a Sonic story taking place in a Sonic world(only thing I'd really change is having mobians not being mostly extinct but I know that was mostly a budgetary constraint so they didn't have to create models for every mobian.). I'll also wholesale take the designs and models for the badniks in the fan film over the generic robots and buzz bombers in the paramount films.
I love it cuz of how dumb it is sometimes, but it’s clear that the people working on it really liked the series, with the egg carrier and gamma robots, so it’s just dumb fun for me

I really hate when people think sonic is actually from mobius and are called mobians sonic is from Christmas Island on earth and everyone else is also from earth except Amy from little planet shadow from the ark the wisps are from planet wisp and the koko are from a different planet non specified also the chao and chaos could also be from space we dont know.
Amy's from Lil planet, I thought she followed Sonic like they showed in Origins.
You’re right about the Earth part, but the Christmas Island origin is no longer recognized as being canon.

Mobius isn’t another planet, it’s the Sonic version of Earth. So basically, he lives on Earth, but it’s not called Earth.

Also while I am working on a sonic.exe 2D animation that will have some 3D elements based on camera angle in the animation but also I say that because they're higher with more budget and sh!t like that although I will say that they probably spent some of the budget on the film and the rest for something else

Well yeah because it's on Earth ? It's possible to make a Sonic movie without humans but the the movies they work, they have a clear personnality and are useful for Sonic's developpment. the secondary characters are... not crazy but special mention for Rachel in Sonic 2 who is really fun (imo). I think Sonic 3 will be a positive evolution.
Is there a problem that Sonic is like Spider-Man ? They're the same type of character (teenagers who have a good heart with a rebel attitude that anoy their opponents). Also you're point is completly invalid because Sonic is in the center of the two movie lmao he has an evolution (he grown from being a child to someone who is more confident and aware of the others) heck in the first part of the movie he was the spotlight when we see him being sad about that he's alone and then the movie was about him trying to fight loneliness. In the second film he meets Tails and Sonic has now the role of a model and has a very good dynamic with Knuckles (both have lost their family in a fight that overall was unnecessary). On the other hand Sonic in the fan film has no personnality, he's there... he fights robots... yeaaaaah okay the fan film lasts 18 min and you know what it's funny ? Sonic is not even the main point of the movie (which is weird because for you it was the case mhmm), we see more humans than Sonic and when he appears he's not very spectcular and very bland. Just get rid of those stupid ass humans in this fan film because even them are not good and they take too much place for Sonic (yeah in 18min it's possible to make a good Sonic fan film with a good Sonic it's just that the fan film took a... questionnable way)

Knuckles with fingers is just cursed, we're used to Knuckles having no fingers but hey ig it's subjective. No it's not a great movie but can't say I hate it because it's so nostalgic to me but it's still not great, it's just a fan film with fan film's limitation
First of all, it is not a good movie, my dear Nostalfan.
And second, you are the one who has to go to hell, because even I who saw it for the first time in 2013, this fan film was always terrible and Sonic's design was horrible.
Only people defend it because Paramount's first Sonic movie design had an uglier design at first, but that is no longer the case after the redesign and its 2 sequels.
