So Sorry to hear about you're Dad, i lost my Da 33 yrs now, but I just posted a comment on the same page who lost her husband, good choice off music,. I want most WHO music at mine. WE are all just a dream away. R. I. P. to any person who lost some 1 they Lost & Loved. 💐💙😢🎼🎶🎵❤️💯💐🍀🇮🇪✊👍🏻
Haven't heard this song in over 30 years. I missed it. I was in my teenage years, now in mid 50's. I close my eyes and it feels like yesterday. Long live Roger Daltrey and the Who!!!!!! Not bad for an 80 year old❤❤❤
Absolutely love this film. The music alone is phenomenal. As an ex convict myself. I can relate to every word, every song and the time served I done. Thank you roger daltery. LONG LIVE THE WHO
I'm 49 now. Back in the day, The Who was my favorite band. From the time I was 7, till around 16(the Who had claimed "break up" and Springsteen had taken over the world!!)I devoured any thing I could get my hands on, even remotely Who related!! Thus, my discovering the movie McVicar and the great soundtrack. Shit, when I first heard "Waiting for a Friend"?I couldn't stop coming home after school, throwing it on the turntable and air-guitaring the crap out of it at full volume. And wondering why it never got much, if rarely any!, airplay here in the states??😢 Right now my girl and me having difficult time. (I relapsed on booze/heroin after few years sober😢😢😢). Was gonna send her "Just a dream away", before I call it a night. THE WHO!!! LONG LIVE ROCK, INDEED!!
My husband passed almost 16 months ago, and this song always makes me think that I can dream and see him anytime! I almost played this at my husbands funeral, but instead we had a huge celebration of life party the day after the funeral and it played a couple of times! Sorry for you lose... maybe your dad and my husband are in heaven partying together!
.. I ain't going nowhere without my F....n trainers..! All time classic Soundtrack.. I just love Roger Daltery.. His acting is brilliant.. I may now watch the movie.. Mcvicar.. Just for the music.. They dont make 'em like they use too..!
awesome song maybe my favourite one on the mcvicar movie soundtrack, rodger daltrey sings this so beautiful. the dream i want is just a dream away i know it. i am gonna get it.
Just been reading through some these Amazing comments. I totally agree.... fantastic song from a fantastic film... from a fantastic singer... Song writer and Not forgetting the Guy who the film is about and how he has totally changed his life. Respect Mac
great song great movie and an epic movie soundtrack and roger you are a wonderful singer and actor and you have aged well mate and you are still magic live
I love this song, I love the film, and most of all I love Roger. I've had the joy of meeting him twice. I really must watch this film again. The breakfast scene is a classic! Lucky Georgina...
only watched the film 1000 times, never gets boring. The same with The Who's Quadrophenia film, absolutely unbelievable, with a great soundtrack also, and this is coming from a 15 year old!!!
Excellent album in all respects -- Daltrey in top form, great arrangements, just great songs, period. The Who said "we won't get fooled again." Somehow, we did, but I hold on to their dream.
Roger in the Shower ..... Yummy........ Nuff said!!!! However, I love all of the songs on this album... And, this is one of my all time favorites that Roger sings! I also just loved the movie! Okay, I'll admit it... I'm obsessed, and have been for about 32 years!
Fuck'n EXCELLENT movie, saw it in Maitland big house back in 79, it nearly started a riot..another great prison flick, (if ya can find it?) is 'STIR' with Bryan Brown, based on the true accounts of Bathurst riots nsw 1974.. Be Lucky!!
BOSCOBLUEEYES true mate and my country wales god bless us all and i carnt stand the english[sport rivalries and your treatment of us celts forgive and forget the enemies within all im saying] god save the queen and cymru am byth
john allinson Yeah, but you can't blame the victims of racism for what racist people did. You have to blame the racist. They are the ones who gave the reputation of Britain a bad name after the war against Hitler was over. They should have immigrated to Germany if that's the case lol
@hants It's on the soundtrack. And I'm sure it's on the film, I think when they're playing footy'. I'm not certain like 'cause I haven't saw it for a few months but I did think it was on it, though I could be wrong.
Played at my dads funeral yesterday.
McVicar was his favorite film.
Rest in peace dad, love you always.
