The becon is a reminder that is all! The marshaller should give the all clear to approach the aircraft when the engines are spinning slow enough to see through them or can make out numbers on the blades! Or if the person is not sure walk safely toward the front and check themselves!
@@AltairZeniththe other man who was putting those things at the plane wheels! He must wait until the airplane stops the anticolision lights (those red lights)! This means it’s safe to walk near the plane! 7 meters away in front of the motors it’s a must…
@@allexpch you’re referring to the wheel chocks placed on the nose gear. Its common practice to put the nose gear chocks as soon as the aircraft stops on the line. They will only put the chocks on the main gear once the beacon/anticollision light is off. But its normal for the nose gear chocks to be placed even though the beacon is still running because the engines are at idle and the nose gear is at a safe distance.
@allexpch not quite, he went a little early yes, but front chalks go on as soon as it's wheels stopped, only the main gear chalks you wait for the anti collision lights to go off.. as long as you stay out of the ingestion zone it's fine

He do they know when it’s safe to walk infront of the engine?
When engines are shutoff and beacon lights are off.
@@iyanmanzano do they see when the engine is slowing down?
@@frmjersey1 The beacon is about the last things to go off. So if that turns off, engines were shutoff way before that.

1. Beacon light is shut off 2. Engines take approximately 30 seconds to fully spool down 3. When the Marshaller gives the clear to approach signal.
