I don't mind region-locked gears, I think. that's ok
but the fact that special items like climbing boots, bell, spirit, and hang glider are also region-locked, I don't feel like this should be a thing.
Agreed. Region locked gear is fine but I would like to not have to find all the transport items X.X
Yeah! I mean I agree that if you have all legendary gears and they're not legion-loked, you would be able to complete other zones really quickly, But I cant just finish another zone in half an hour with these transport items! So why not just me have them.

a minor issue for such major outcry give the designer a break its a great game.
I think a good fix is to make it so that the artifacts give a small but permanent increase to one of your combat stats while finding the exploration items a second time should give a small boost to a movement stat, like what the artifacts do now. Finding the second boat should give increased sailing speed, finding the hang glider a second time should increase its speed and so on. That way you have an incentive to find them over and over again without having them taken away and also the artifacts feel like meatier progression.
Was super confused when I looked this game up and saw Vars. Watching your regular league videos and then seeing this was a fun surprise lmao. Its really cool to see how far you've come!
I'm relearning this game as well and the region lock is sort of growing on me, however I do wish it was easier to get good gear. Killing mobs don't drop anything really so half the time I'm avoiding them like the plague. Otherwise great game so far

in the advanced guide you should mention that you can buy or craft + gear. Also a pro tip, when you go to a third region try to pick one that borders the other two you already played

This game is really beautiful, i use some mods to try to enjoy this game more. the mod makes so the artifacts have atleasst a combat stat boost, and theres the travel mod which makes me have the exploring gear. the region lock does let through already my exploring gear, but doesn't keep my divine harp, climbing spikes, treasure spirit, spirit bell.
I think honestly changing the spawn rate of special items like the reigns, bell, harp, and boots would be helpful... only the glider and boat are consistent spawning in all regions
I came upon this game as a kid. Bought it at laugh cause nostalgic. Never played for more than a couple hours but the grind halted me. This video saved me. Thank you! (I HAD A LANTERN??)
Found a big chest with a 100 dmg weapon 4 hours in.
I have a GT 750 and the game runs fine. My biggest problem with the mixed reviews is that people aren't even reviewing the content of the game, every single negative review is just complaining that it's different from the alpha.

Im underwhelmed by the Changes. It feels pointless to play one region because you have to gather everything (All transport items?!) new.
With my old account i played weeks to get the high class gear and was fine with beating every enemy up at some point. This feels like a waste of time now tbh. You cant even ascend to safe some % max hp, strengh movementspeed. This is a sad story of a game i loved. I hope the new update will bring some good features to make it good again.
1:36 well youre wrong there bc some races are smaller and thats a smaller hitbox
Which doesn't impact the game play, since all attacks will still hit you the same whether you are smaller or bigger. Hell, I've gone against a boss that was able to hit you with melee attacks even if you weren't anywhere near it.
@@arthurschamne9804 you can go through windows, aaand you can avoid damage not just dodgin also just by running, so a smaller hitbox probably can make a difference it could be almost impossible to test but im sure that could save you. Most of all with projectiles, definitely, that difference could save you and probably could be easier to test, with blocks and angles when enemies shoot you
@@arthurschamne9804 if you go fown just one block when a enemy shoot you, youre gone have way more chances to "dodge" that bullet if youre smaller.
Also idk if youre saying mele-attacks are fixed like league of legends, bc in cube world they are not
@@cruz6550 They aren't "fixed" but a shorter hitbox won't help you against it. They hit a wide area.

I have one too. I've played a little since I have a beta key and it runs just fine. Not as demanding as he makes it seem. Easily a solid 60+ fps.
gtx 960 is plenty to run this game. If you can run minecraft or league of legends you can play cube world
