- Hopefully this video helps out you stock suspension guys with moving the leaf springs inboard in order to fit a bigger tire, how to mount the leaf spring sliders and just over all a better understanding of how to do these modifications
THANKS FOR WATCHING!!!! - Кино
Excellent video, well done in every way, thank u I was in a dillema of back halfing or moving the leafs in on my 72 Nova, appreciate the motivation
Thank you so much I've been trying to videos on this for a long time thank you Ronnie
This is a great video. Thx.
Brilliant idea. I'll have to look into doing this instead of just offset shackles
Thanks for the video. I am building my first car. 1969 AMC Rambler Rogue (SCRambler tribute). I have been trying to figure out ways to get my leaf springs inboard too. I have Calvert split monoleafs also. I moved my stock gas tank to the center underneath. You gave me alot of ideas how to set up my springs. I am going with 15X10" Magnum 500 rims in back and 14X7" in the front.
I did the same with my 69 firebird .I also had to tie rollcage into my mounts.works great
Nice job ronnie....great work as usual
Sweet set up man! Awesome seeing fellow enthusiasts. Good work. Keep on keeping on. Heard me some Chris Stapleton in background love his music! Good stuff all way around
New subscriber, love the channel. I did spring relocation and CalTrac split Monos...but didn’t know about sliders. Gonna get a set.
Great job, thanks for your knowledge
Really helped me out I have a 79 z28 I’m gonna start working on content will be filmed
Great video 👍
I would like to see how you set up roll cage
excellent welds.
thanks bud
What does the car run? It launches so straight and well. Thanks for info, now I can redo my sliders.
Just fabbed up the same brackets! Installing them this weekend!
perfect!
@@horsepowervsyourwallet9769 thank you for this video! I was driving myself crazy how I was going to do this, working out perfectly so far.
perfect glad to hear that! happy we could help!!
Great job sir...... I really like the front mount you made that is fully adjustable, and you used the split mono leaf spring. My question is... how wide is the complete ( Assuming you are using Calvert bar front Assembly was the whole package ( I seen you used 4in square tubing) and did you have to shim it inside for less movement ?
Thanks in Advance
Did you ever complete the follow up video you had planned to do with pics of the finished install?
What pinion angle did you set it up to and are you using assasin bars or Calverts?
are you using split mono leafs
Please tell me you left the rocker studs in there 😂😂😂
Did you have a noticeable improvement in the 60' times before maybe going to a bigger tire?
Do you still have those offset spring hangers and if so are you interested in selling them?
How similar is this to a 3rd gen nova?
Did you ever post a follow up video for this? Need more info on the build. Thanks
just posted a video. hope this helps!!
How tall is that 4in tube roughly
At what power level is this mod nessary?
Obviously tire size is limiting.
What was your experience?
For ex. 275/60 drag radial?
Thanks
Is that 5 degrees from level, or 5 degrees from the frame? Thanks for the info!
5 degrees from level
God almighty! How in the hell did you get that measurement for the rear slider at a 5* decline before cutting everything out?! Haha!! I saw your IG post, with the bar reinforcement for the front spring mounts. Amazing fitting, and I think said so. But damn, that seems hard to wrap my head around. I’m also assuming your car is spec’d to 7.50 or quicker? I’m just trying to stuff a 10pt cage in the car and am just running uphill against the current on struggle street. Thank you for this video!
Before you moved the springs inward, how big of a tire were you able to fit on the Camaro? Thanks
28/10.5 the car is mini tubbed aswell
Seems Coil Over's would have been a simpler application. You work looks good though.
Good video. I am building a twin turbo 72 Nova and whoever my brother had install the caltracs and sliders did it wrong. The split mono leafs are angled inward from front to rear and the sliders are flat front to back but are angled inward toward the center if car ugh...... I'd like to kick them in the nuts and make them watch this video over and over.
