Buying a stock is easy, but buying the right stock without a time-tested strategy is incredibly hard. Hence what are the best stocks to buy now or put on a watchlist? I’ve been trying to grow my portfolio of $160K for sometime now, my major challenge is not knowing the best entry and exit strategies ... I would greatly appreciate any suggestions

I stay away from Starbucks stocks because i don't actually understand the business. I am wondering if someone can make much better coffee at home, why they continuously wait in line and pay for coffee.
Also, I have no idea why people choose Starbucks other than other coffee shops.
However, the used coffee grounds from Starbucks are excellent for gardening.

Ha. Eureka, I thought the grounds were good too, but you need to check it out. They actually are not. They stunt the growth of plants. Really! Look it up. But seriously, this whole industry is based on people feeling that they can give themselves a treat by going to SB in the morning. It's not really a drug, but a lifestyle thing. And SB has become the community gathering place in the mornings for so many. Myself included at times. It has little to do with the coffee, that is not really that good. It's about community.

The element of unionising the US, is an overhyping idea, that only lives in the US. Starbucks and other international companies have that reality by default in Europe (requirement by law). In China, you have other rules and costs, etc. Each country has its burdens and costs. If they can handle high minimum wages in the EU, they can handle this also in the US when there is a union.
Also in the US they state "we are the land of the free. So the freedom to unionise is a problem? A freedom that is protected by the First Amendment of the US Constitution. The same freedom companies (employers have), they also have that right to unionise

Half of the joy of drinking coffee is in the making. So many different methods. It's fun and it makes your kitchen smell great. Lazy, impatient, self-indulgent, wasteful, addiction riddled culture. Most Americans don't even drink coffee anymore. It's a cup of sugar. Ice cream for breakfast. I better shut up now before I start "fat shaming"😄 Great videos, guys. I always appreciate your analysis. Students of investing can always learn something from it.

    What’s the store closures?
I don’t go to Starbucks anymore unless I’m on the road driving somewhere far and need to stay awake.
I used to go to my local 4x week. Loved (past tense) their pastries & sandwiches but are tiny & barely edible now.
The local urban Starbucks in my neighborhood are eerily quiet, staffed by surly blue hairs, depressing places.
In-stores, their grinds are way too expensive, and I have found tasty, cheaper substitutes for my home brew.

Curious, why didn’t you buy it when it was sub 80s, back then you came up with a price of 65. It was not long ago and then stock went 110, we can’t have drastic differences in few months …now we settling for 80$? I wonder if there is lot of uncertainty due to the analyzer inputs than the actual company itself. If that is true, then there should be a process to buy/ evaluate on analyzer

If you haven't seen the interractions between Howard Shultz and Berine Sanders with the senate hearing (and also young employees) you should watch and listen. Howard stated clearly how well Starbucks takes care of their employees relative to other businesses, and he stated that they were more than willing to discuss issues (promotion, wages, etc) with individual employees, rather than make broad changes for all employees because of a union's demands. The employees sounded like entitled whiners who were given good things and wanted more. They way the employees portrayed their situations as victims drove me crazy, you make life-choices and you are responsible for the circumstances. Perhaps if I worked at Starbucks I might feel differently, but based on what I heard in the senate hearing, Starbucks seems in the right on this one.

You always use as an argument look how the UK use to have reserve and now don’t and just fine….yea we like they won’t drop off the map; but that doesn’t mean it’s not a huge advantage having the reserve currency and there won’t be a significant drop

from my experience with unions, they do more harm to companies’ growth and the lazy people tend to benefit from them a lot more than out performers. then the outperformers tend to leave to a place where the compensation is more scaled to performance. but then again this is just from one immigrant’s point of view with only 18years of working experience.

@@EverythingMoney Well, while there certainly have been good and bad unions, I have to feel for the people at the UAW & the Hollywood writers strikes. These people have been the backbone of production lines that have created the wealth for the mgmt. teams that fly around in the corporate jets, so far above the fray. I hope they all get better pay, a cap on the AI issues and are able to keep their homes. The pay equity in this country is obscene. I do not back management at all in this fight. They consistently show themselves to be ruthless as they cash their 100 million dollar salary & stock options.

Get rid of your own political bias and report the facts if your going to review a company especially if you have someone on a computer looking them up.
As of June 2023, over 8,000 workers at over 331 Starbucks stores in at least 40 states in the United States have voted to unionize, primarily with Workers United. As of March 2023 none have yet enacted a collective bargaining agreement. This unionization effort started at a store in Buffalo, New York.
Didnt start in san Francisco and its an effort in nearly every state they have stores.
