    NBA finals: 20mil viewers NHL finals: 4mil

    • @glenngayet3626
      @glenngayet3626 6 лет назад

      Jeff Brisson it blows my mind that the NBA has that many viewers because there is no value to anything that happens in a basketball game, thus there is never anything to get excited about. Whenever a basket is made in basketball it is never exciting because who cares when there’s 100 points per team. Same with lacrosse. Absolutely boring as hell because with each team scoring 15-20 goals there is no value to anything that happens. Soccer is too low scoring but hockey is in the perfect range of scoring. There is value to a goal in hockey but in basketball a basket doesn’t mean a whole lot when there’s 100 points per team.

      Jeff Brisson you obviously can't skate. The NBA takes no skill. A dog can make a foul shot. Literally. Ever watch Air Bud? They score 100 points per game. Wow. Must be really difficult to play a sport where scoring 100 points per game is the norm. They must really try on defense.

    • @001spring
      @001spring 7 лет назад

      slovak4life1991 I played hockey for 10yrs growing up, so you're wrong there. And to say it takes no skill to play basketball is beyond ignorant and shows you have no clue what you're talking about.

    • @slovak4life1991
      @slovak4life1991 7 лет назад

      I guess no one cares about football (or soccer if you're an idiot) either. Because no one watches the MLS Finals. Because Russians, Czechs, Slovaks, Swedes, and Finns don't watch hockey, right? Just because they're not watching the Cup doesn't mean they're not watching hockey. Because guess what? They have their own leagues there.

    • @001spring
      @001spring 7 лет назад

      slovak4life1991 Basketball is #2 in the world in popularity, hockey is #9, ahead of volleyball. And nobody watches MLS because it's a lesser product. Football is #1 most popular sport so I don't know what you're getting at with your first question. Their own leagues?.....Basketball has the 2nd most professional leagues globally (football is #1), including Russia which you just mentioned. And btw, basketball is also the fastest growing sport in Canada.

    What Charles said is true. NBA this year the playoffs almost felt pre-ordained. Before the season everybody knew it would be Golden State and Cleveland in the final. All the NBA playoff games have been blowouts and nearly none have been exciting. Compared to the NHL playoff in which anyone can win and a record number of overtime games.

    - It's always interesting this time of year when the NBA playoffs & Stanley Cup playoffs are literally going head-to-head in the spring. But it's been most obvious this year how there's been very few compelling stories in the NBA playoffs because the Cavs & Warriors have blown through the whole league without breaking a sweat. Stanley Cup Playoffs have been a whole different animal...nobody could've predicted the Preds would've made it this far in the playoffs( even though they're very talented on paper & shouldn't be too suprising that they've come along this far considering how the team has been properly built to compete ). I guess because they play in the ever-strong Western Conference, the Preds would've been the LAST team anyone pickedto come out of the West. Not to mention the huge wave of Overtime in this year's playoffs, the Ottawa Senators making their surprise run to the East Final & pushing the Pens to Double OT in Game 7, the Oilers & Leafs making the playoffs & showing glimpses of their bright future....there's been a lot of exciting stories & games in the Stanley Cup playoffs this spring, it's great for hockey!!
