I'm not an auto locksmith but being a #LockBoss I tried my hand at making a key for my new Toyota this weekend. Managed to get a working, programmed key. Auto is definitely different from commercial/residential but was fun to dig into the "other" side a bit. The Futura Pro would definitely have made the process easier but is a little over the top for a once and done situation. :) Thanks for the video!

nice video! Instacode can talk to the Silica Futura machines here in the States, I know in some other countries Instacode has a hard time, talking to the Futura series machines. Or does anyone know if they fix that.
Wish someone would list out all the various rules of the given code serieses. Like on the Honda sidewinders how the tip cut is always a 1, and the cut before that is always 2(valet) or 5(master) for the left track and 3 or 5 for the right. Or like Nissan DA34/x237 is always a 2 or deeper on the tip cut. #lockboss
Interesting Futura pulled up wrong key blade, its not x217. Should be tr43r or b110 keyway or b1114. Another tip need to know how many cuts 8 vs 10 ect. #lockboss
You’d probably be even happier with a xhorse code machine. Less than half the cost. And cuts great. I personally have an SEC E9 machine for a year now. It’s been loaded in my work vehicle from the day it arrived. Works perfect as well. Can’t say anything negative about it
