I used to based at CFB Comox back the 90s, the thing I remember fly out of Comox was you could tell where Vancouver was because of the brown haze over Vancouver back then, I live on the East Coast now, so it may have cleared up by now.
There was definitely some haze around Vancouver as I got back a few days ago, but that was because of the forest fire smoke. On normal days, Vancouver is pretty clear with little to no haze.
@@naturallyherb It used to so bad back in 90s, I lived in Chilliwack for a couple of years before coming back to New Brunswick and when the sun was setting it would always turn red from the pollution from Vancouver. That and seeing the lights from Mt. Seymour hanging in the sky at night when you drove in from the Valley.
@@naturallyherb Yes; happy I moved to Vancouver Islan in 2001; home in Cumberland near Comox Lake; I'll get a float plane if/when I win the Lottery! :)
To all those people undoing their seatbelts the moment the plane stopped, there can be a power surge when the prop is getting feathered. That’s why the seatbelt sign stays on till the prop is feathered, then 30 seconds to stabilize the oil pressure.
