Primus ROCKED when they opened for Rush at the Seattle Coliseum in 1992. It was a great night as most all of my friends in attendance were either huge Rush or huge Primus fans (or some mixture of both). At that strange transitory time in popular music, Primus was the best-matched opening act they could've possibly picked.
The Saint Louis show rocked so hard you can still see smoke rising from the rubble. ♥
Great clip! Looking forward to the rest. Reminder on 🍷
I remember seeing Marillion open for Rush at Radio City Music Hall back in ‘83 I think. I definitely remember an early version of Kid Gloves because the time signature was similar to a song my band had written (“how did Rush rip us off?”. 😂). The crowd wasn’t so nice to Marillion, they got a lot of boos but I’d never heard them before then and me and my friends really liked them. Also, it was the only time I munched left over Chinese food while watching Rush live!
As a long term Rush fan I worked with Marillion and was saddened to hear that they had a pretty horrific experience supporting Rush. It made no sense to me, as they seemed so perfectly suited, but even a decade later it seemed to have left a bitter taste with the creators of the bitter suite...
@@paulrowlston4239 Yeah, I don't know why either. It was a long time ago, but I remember Marillion being really good!
@@pumpichank Yeah, I always considered them as sharing a lane and was really depressed when they told me. Even more depressed to have not been there to see them gig together. And don't even get me started on missing Porcupine Tree supporting Los Marrillos.
Only Geddy and dolphin!
freedom of speech is a beautiful thing. Les Claypool can write any lyrics he wants and can sing anything he wants. And I have the right to voice my opinion. Les Claypool has written some garbage lyrics in recent years
