Man I always hear people talking about structure but this is the first video which someone actually explain it to me in a clear and easy to understand manner. Thank you very much for making this.
No. If I learn another sculpting app, it would be blender. Mudbox has too many parrells with ZB so its easier for me to stay there. For the texturing stuff I'd rather go to Substance, myself. :|
21:50 "Struttura Uomo" - Alberto Lolli, Mauro Zocchetta, Renzo Peretti - NERI POZZA EDITORE I had the pleasure to meet those guys in Venice, when a young student! Best book ever (2 volumes)!

@@hellatze effort is the wrong word, then. effort is a generic term for energy spent. energy spent does not equal spent well... You'll need another word to describe the moment when energy spent = achievement. Either your defining effort as something Anyone can do or you're defining "effort" as something magical. I'm not into magic so I like to be specific about things. Especially since I train artists for a living and see effort spent all day long... and then those magical moments when all their efforts lead to real achievement of their goals. Make sense?
Brightness consistency? Omg its called color theory for crying outloud not color consistency. In color theory it has nothing to do with the brain but has everything to do with color changing in its environment.
Oh and it's "Brightness Constancy" which refers to the value of an object not it's color. I might have screwed that up. It's a subset of "Perceptual Constancy" which is one of the things that makes MC Escher work... work... i think :)
Structure isnt what makes art work. There is no structure yet concept. Maybe in 3D modeling of human figures. Construction in life drawing in terms of muscle and bones is what you're actually refering to when you say structure
You're undoubtedly one of the best teachers out there! I always seek out your content when I feel stuck and it never disappoints. Thank you!

Absolutely. Same with me. I used to say it to students too but I think I'm getting closer to really explaining it.
I can't get tired of these sculpt examples.
Thanks! Excited to be doing these again after a few year break.
Thank YOU for keeping encouraging and inspiring us for all those years
My pleasure :)
Ryan, as usually your lecture is brilliant! Thank you very much!

The man of the hour right there.

"Struttura Uomo", "Gottfried Bammes" @ 21:45 for your Googling.
Now, how do I pronounce it without sounding like an idiot?!

Yes he does and I labeled my slide wrong!
Hello Ryan! Where can I buy Artistic Anatomy in ZBrush course?
Sand, hold steady for a bit. Redoing that. It's Flintstone era now.
Even though I've moved onto VFX for video games, I ALWAYS watch new Ryan Kingslien content.
Man, that is an area I'm starting to love. Tyler Smith has been doing some awesome work there. Looking forward to learning some of it myself.
I'm a huge fan
Thanks!
which tablet do you use ?
lol...always with Egon. And not the good one with the proton pack either.
That surface tho!!!

oh man... not my cup of tea. I call BS. Effort does not equal achievement. That's why achievement is so special...

@@RyanKingslienVertexSchool i have seen barista make a painting out of coffe milk. Its wonderful and took an effort to make.

Brightness consistency? Omg its called color theory for crying outloud not color consistency. In color theory it has nothing to do with the brain but has everything to do with color changing in its environment.
Uhm, no. It's not color theory. Love color theory. This is human perception and the biology of vision.

"There is no structure yet concept"? I'm not sure I understand this sentence. Are you arguing that structure doesn't exist? Sounds very serious.
