    I'm NOT switching from AE (I've never used it) but I picked up so many practical how to tips watching this - effects that I didn't know how to do approach in Fusion (which node(s) to work with). So, thank you - this is super valuable even for your non-AE audience, especially those of us still early in the journey 😀

    This is becoming one of the best channels for learning Fusion. I do have a bit of a request. After Effects is often used as the primary compositing tool for 2d frame by frame animation, by importing the animations as image sequences. It is kinda the standard for that in the anime industry. Could you make a video on that using Fusion? Thanks for the videos anyway. They are a massive help.

      No. Unfortunately not. Check out the saver and loader nodes though. Sorta similar idea. You can run something out to a saver, which exports it as individual frames in a folder (go up to fusion in menu and hit “render all savers”) and then brings it into one node using the loader.

      Thank you! Appreciate that. I would recommend you take a look at the "Warper" node. Slightly different to puppet pin but makes for a good replacement because unlike the Grid Warp, the points are anchored to the element like you mention.
      I plan on talking through this in an upcoming video :)

      Hey! Thank you :) Yes, I understand you perfectly. Do you mean like a stop watch or like a circle to highlight things? what do you want to use it for? Hopefully I can help.

    Hej man, thanks for the video. This is really helpful! A deep dive into the displacement effect would be interesting. Also Posterise Time (I use it for a stop motion like effect) and expressions in general.

    Jesus, that really good. I've been using AE for years and am getting a bit frustrated with the lack of progress with it. Also I love nodes from the old days of Shake, ( remember that lol ) and I never really got my head round nodes in AE.

    Will you be doing a video about the new Affinity 2 Suite of apps? Love your videos btw. I am coming over from the adobe suite to DaVinci Resolve and your tutorials have been very helpful with the transition process 👍

      Hey, Glad to hear it! 😊 yes I’ll be following up soon with some Affinity stuff! Have you got the new apps yet?

    • @MetalRoast
      @MetalRoast 2 года назад

      @@RyanOsborneUK So I had the original Affinity apps before I went to Adobe and now leaving Adobe and going back to Affinity, I saw they had just launch there new v2 suite and was wondering if it is the upgrade. I have been looking around and checking different peoples opinions, however your channel has been one of the rare ones that talks about using the Affinity suite with DaVinci and video editing in general. So I am curious to get your take on it.😀

    Hello Ryan, thanks for a jam-packed Fusion crash course! Noob ? here: For No.1 corner positioner, which is the designated MediaIn1 & MediaIn2? - the background footage or the mask or your desired screen overlay? I don't know how to add more than one MediaIn node at this point & am not seeing my selected footage in Fusion, just the chosen overlay image/FXclip. I appreciate the clarification.

    For those of us that were never very comfortable creating great AE animated promos would you say we should def jump programs?

      Hard to say... if AE was a struggle for you... Fusion may be harder to understand :) totally depends on the individual. All the best!
