Yamaha Zuma RC158 (125) Freeway Testing

- One of the questions about the Yamaha Zuma 125 that seems to bubble up to the top is if it is freeway worthy. In this video, I will share how my Zuma will fair on the freeway. Now, keep in mind mine is modified with the videos below and is a 158cc Zuma 125.
I only take it across three exits for maybe 2-3 miles but you will get an idea of how capable this scooter is on the freeway. The only mod or change I have made that is not shown in this video list is that I have added 9g Dr. Pully Sliders to the stock Variator.

I have the same setup and with taller final gears I hit 75 on mine. With stock gears was the same and I’d hit the rev limiter at around 63-64mph

The roads here in the Dallas are are wayyyyyy too fast for anything that can't keep up with 75mph traffic, but the traffic usually slows it all down.
if its wide enough you can stay to the right I suppose. This freeway I was on is pretty wide. If I was to go onto the interstate outside of Rush hour I bet i would have issues. Apart frm that atleast I know I can travel on the freeway if absolutly needed. Once I do a few more speed mods I think I will be good. I want to do a test ride to the south side of houston someday.
I just rode 30 mins on a 55 mph road with a 125cc Zuma i can only go 56-58 though max if that lol. Your going way faster then mine 👌👌👌🛵
Its the BBK I installed for sure. I know its a sturdy motor so I bet you can run it for long periods at WOT.
I know you upgraded your engine with big bore kit now its 158cc from 125cc! I was thinking doing same thing but they do not make BB Kit for my bike! Ceasar
