When the sub turns its lights away at 4:30 it gives you sense of just how dark it really is down there.
Why ya acting like it was something big.
@@jamworthy14 cause it is.
This darkness is TOTAL. Not even a single photon exists at such a depth.
@@jebbroham1776exactly the sunlight only reaches down to 1000 feet which is impressive in my opinion but that’s a bit less than 1/12 of this depth
The fact people were down to float down in that in that Pringle can sized submersible, is astonishing. Never in a million years would I agree to that, and to think they could have watched videos like this, from the safety of their couch...
This is the best wreck footage out there. The insides of Titanic are haunting.
They are unrecognisable
@@BlackKnight-th8ml 1080 would clearly clear that up even for the unexprienced nes, at least a little

Con che cosa sono entrati all'interno....
I wish there was more of this. This is the kind of stuff I really want to see, not the edited stuff of the same areas over and over. I have never seen the ship from this vantage point. Its always just cut where they are already inside and at the point they want to show for a minute or so.
Its always been my dream that someone would invent a ROV small enough to maneuver through the obstructions without getting tangled while also containing a HD camera and light source.
forget HD.. I was something like a 500 Mega pixel camera
They should do like a 3 hour live stream of this
He assembled the best footage from this expedition into an IMAX film "Ghosts of the Abyss". Great watch. Uses ROVs to get into parts of the ship the subs could never reach.
As already said, it’s difficult to know what you’re looking at. Upside down table legs? The mesh facing of an electric heater? Ghostlike. Haunting.
Man, having that external light source coming in at different angles, shining through windows and things really makes for some incredibly haunting images. The shot @ 18:40 & 23:19 are particularly striking!
I agree..those are beautiful shots
Ηe is a director after all
Glad to see from the comments that I'm not the only Titanic nut in the world! This may not be the right word but I've been "obsessed" with her my entire life and, ironically, she was discovered the same year I was born; I was probably about 3 years old (incredible memory/recall) when a special was ran on TV and I was completely mesmerized. I am extremely thankful for James Cameron's movie in the late nineties because it really felt like it brought the Titanic directly to me (or vice versa) and gave me the opportunity to truly experience the ship as if I was right there looking directly at her myself. Bringing the Titanic and her story to life with such amazing effects also allowed people to really feel every bit of the passengers' experiences from the beginning of the journey, all the way up to the very end.
I was born 2 years after the discovery but my grandfather is a big fan of big ships & shipwrecks and we watched "a night to remember" when I was around 6 and I have been obsessed ever since. I am really sad about what happened with Ocean Gate recently, not just because of the obvious loss of life but also the amazing high resolution footage they provided the world, there will be no more of that footage. Its always been a dream to see the wreck myself, which will probably never happen. But maybe I will see the wreck of her sister Brittanic one day, shes only 400 meters under the sea so more safe & achievable. Shes also in unbelievably good condition for her age and how long she's been down there.
Titanic is fascinating I've been obsessed with her since my childhood too
@@mursaleensaleem1806 so sad to know that she will no longer be around in the years to come.
@@stephyclaws yep that so sad for me
@ninatote yes it was great to see. Going into those dark windows is haunting. Ok hands up, i admitt i got a few scares, i thought the camera was looking right at a frame like body a few times. It is freaky once you go into those dark rooms, you dont know what to expect? Its far more haunting than space. I know that now. In space at least you can see for a distance and all around you. But at this depth its just dark and nothing lives, not even fish. A think theres only 4 or 5 kinds that do live down there. It really is a journey into another world at that depth. Well done that was great to watch.
What an absolute privilege it is to be able to see Titanic even in this state. As time marches on, she inches closer and closer to becoming unrecognizable. She will never look this good again, and everyone should cherish the images and videos that we have that documented the ship over the years.
Fantastic and so haunting too. It's hard to tell what is what. That stateroom I think I saw a bed and a bathtub. This is fantastic. I'm a big Titanic nerd. I wonder if all that is still there now in 2022. Thank you very much for this. I will always love Titanic.
April 14th is almost here again.
April 14, 2023 is today. The ship hits the iceberg in 3 hours my time, @ 11:40 pm. I’ve never been so aware of the date and time before.
@@smc130 Agreed 💯👍, A great part of history, it's now 2023- fascinating 💯😎🙏😇🕊️💞💞!!!!
She's like a 🥪 being eaten by rust sooo not still there when she's fully gone az she did when she waz drowning to da sea floor
I think that's the captain's quarter with the tub.
Priceless shots. Especially when the "World" is shining from the outside, and the robot is shooting inside - it seems that the light of day is pouring out of the window. This ship will excite people's minds for a long time, and the immortal creation of director Kameron will long be the main diamond in the crown of world cinema.
its 13k feet underwater, not day light, submarine likely next to it lighting it up. They piloted a small remote controlled device to capture the footage.
great summary of the comment you answered, which said the same thing.
@@clauslangenbroek9897 just the last sentence. i meant that its not day time lighting.
It's very unfortunate to rewatch older footage like this (assuming you know what she looks like in her present day state) because you're forced to accept how much she's changed (and continuing to change) and that she's deteriorating and eventually won't be more than a small heap of iron disintegrating more and more into the ocean floor until there's nothing left but maybe a rusty iron ore stain. That will be a long time from now, but still, it's sad to think about.
....this is the normal offense and in the end the unfortunate souls finally find peace.
Hey we were lucky enough to find it, be able to reach it, and surprisingly find it in good condition for being 100+ years rotting in salt water. Atleast it’s been historically documented and the information about the story will be available forever! That’s all that matters
@@jaredchampagne2752 All information about the ship and its sinking will be scientifically processed and will remain for eternity, physically the Titanic will probably no longer be recognizable in about 50-100 years.
@@emausderratsuchende5447 for sure, and there’s really no way to stop it, even if we did, it would take unlimited resources and cost billions of dollars to try and save it, let the graves lay and let it succumb to Mother Nature!
@@jaredchampagne2752 That's right....about 30 years ago there was the idea of raising the Titanic, but the project was abandoned again for cost reasons and protests about disturbing the peace of the dead....
Am i the only one excited to see the footage but also sad that its hitting rusticles and ruining/altering the wreckage site? I just want it to be preserved as much as possible. 😢🚢🚢🚢
Wish they’d build a super small rov that could go deep inside the ship. Imagine the pictures!
Small ROVs will implode at that depth but I wish the same
@mrbiglarge8820 how does a wreck do it??? Like survive a crushing pressure dats insane pressure when it's damaged old weak and 🦠 eaten🦠??
@@mistylover7398 Pressure is equalized because there is no air in the wreck so it is not a crushing pressure on it.
@xmxh9596 🤨 it needs air?
Jake and Elwood (the rovs used here) are probably as small as its going to get
Navigating through so much small objects is a miracle when nothing problematic happens down there. Respect!
5:02 seeing this view I imagine people or crew walking up & folding there hands over the side to look out. So moving
What a great comment.
watch Ghosts of the Abyss, they actually recreate it exactly how you’re saying with cgi ghosts of the crew n stuff over real footage of the wreck captured by James Cameron
Without a doubt the best wreck footage ever captured.
Haunting footage. Thanks for sharing. ❤️
Ont voit tellement bien les détail ! Comme on était déçu le titanic ! 😊
Interesting to wonder what the staterooms deeper inside the ship look like. The ones here are really exposed to the elements more so than those deeper within. If only we could send an ROV further down into the ship. I’d love to see the conditions of the interior windowless cabins deep in the ship. Imagine!

No deja de sorprendernos lo sucedido con el titanic 😢
Goodbye titanic we will always ❤ you remember, and never forget you, your passengers who sadly died on that freezing cold night on april 15 1912 your tragic story will forever be in our hearts memories dreams and prayers.
I know right. We will always love a ship that was responsible for the death of 1500 people. Yeah, love right there.
The ship wasn’t responsible. It was the people sailing it, by not heeding the iceberg warnings, and sailing as fast as they were beforehand. If it had stopped for the night, until the next morning, then it would have gone on its merry way to New York. Yet the people in charge of the ship thought that they knew better…….
@mrkipling2201 Yeah the lack of watertight compartments running the full height certainly didn't contribute ;)
@@WhatALoadOfTosca that’s true, although that wouldn’t have been a problem if the people sailing the ship were able to see and avoid huge bloody icebergs dead ahead!!
@mrkipling2201 Or the ship had the safety features I mentioned.
With a flick of a switch those lights go out and the wreck lies in total darkness. Natures way of hiding Man’s failures. All those who perished and Survived to tell the tale are really immortal as they live on in our hearts and minds as the Torch that is Titanic is forever handed down generations to come long after the Wreck has withered away.
Yup
the scenes of the sub traveling down the length of the ship with the lights shining on it is some of the most haunting images ever. Just a weird feeling
Puff es fantástico ver estas imágenes sólo decir muchas gracias a todo el equipo del trabajo realizado
Outstanding Video.
James Cameron one of the very best and experienced explorers ❤
This is insane!! never seen that close my favorite ship of all time..thanks to cameron who recorded this! ..but here is more fascinating of all..glass on windows is still intact and no broken..how this could be possible?? :O

It’s time to leave it alone … it’s a burial place
@@knowwhouare I don't think people will ever leave it alone until it's completely gone, but I would much rather have a professional crew go back there one more time and film the interior with high quality modern cameras for all of us who are passionate about the Titanic to see rather that having millionaires diving there multiple times a year putting their lives in danger and potentially disrupting the wreck.

So sad. The people who traveled and had so much faith in the ship as unsinkable and many had joy and comfort on the ship that night for 111 yrs ago all of the sudden find themselves in the cold wather middle in nowhere w sinking ship above them and no help...
It must be a terrifying feeling and so sad.

Watching this terrifies me.
5:24 tell me that doesn't look like a person standing inside that window lol I know it's just the light make an optical illusion but it was still startling
I thought I saw a figure standing in one of the rooms as the camera shined through the window.
Beautiful ❤
I want to be able to explore this in VR
yeah it'd be cool if the interiors got fully 3D-scanned in high resolution by an autonomous drone (it'd be difficult to reach the deepest parts by a remote-controlled drone). We have the technology, but I guess funds are a whole different thing
16:40 looks like furniture swept to one side.
Perhaps when the ship hit the bottom of the ocean??
Much more in tune with what I'm seeing when there is no whimsical music. Dark silent solemn place
At the 12:02 mark it's almost as though sunlight were once again shining through.

Yep, that's correct
With all this footage out there, I really dont understand why some people think they need to see the wreck with their own eyes..The idea of taking people down there just to view this wreck or any wreck has got to be the dumbest idea ever. Peace
Жутко осознавать то, что это все медленно тонуло с сотнями людьми, и теперь это все как заброшена покоится на дне океана
I wonder how far they could’ve gone if they had smaller rovers that weren’t connected via wire.
I doubt it’s even possible to do this anymore. A lot has changed down at the wreck site in 22 years.
I wish we had a complete documentation of every time we've visited the wreck to show the gradual deterioration
I mean really the thing doing the most damage is the fucking people who just cannot stop molesting it. People are the biggest impact, always, not some microscopic bacteria eating .0001 grains of iron every year. Look at "the big piece" to see how much damage the bacteria did from 1912-2000something, whenever they raised that section. After electrolysis and a protective coating, you see the iron is really not that damaged after nearly a century underwater.
People, on the other hand, actually land their submersibles....thousands and thousands of pounds, on the DECK of the ship. They park their subs on the actual deck of titanic.
@@theshapeexistsomg this..!
I know there are no skeletons down there but you cant say that on the deck doesnt look like one @ 6:23 lol
I wish the sub cam operator would have pointed the camera downward on the deck. That's where there's lots of artifacts. I also wish they would zoom in inside the cabins.
Wouldn't it be cool if they made some sort of titanium dome big enough to go over the ship, safe enough to withstand the wight of the ocean and pump out the water and pump in oxygen so people could make trips. Down and actually walk around.
I know, I know, it's impossible but cool to wonder.
I love the way you think!
That would just be a good death trap! We could get rid of lots of billionaire's with that idea!
@@corvidflight19 I know that is why I mentioned that it would be impossible.

😔 sad and scary. Feels horrible...
Has anyone ever been able to actually be outside of a sub and dive down near the Titanic? Or is it not possible because of the depth and how cold it is...
No human being could survive at that depth due to pressure.
What is this? 3:42 almost looks like a tarp
Just think of all the people that were running through there that night and scared.
Why hasn't anyone gone down there recently and take HD video???
Is the original Titanic is too far to get and to damaged to pick up????? My question is how come you won't go for a one that's not as deep in the water and in one piece! Wouldn't it be easier to bring up..
