This is great footage. At 74 I have seen so many advances in technology, and seeing the Titanic close up, has been something I never thought I would see. Thank you for enabling me to do so.
another researcher brought up a good point that - many people who were in the water died also of BLUNT force traumas when the Ship sank...Stuff / Debree / Furniture etc... was coming Out of it as it was going deeper and Rose to the surface / TOP and Very Fast Speeds Killing Passengers in the water
Tbh at least everything in the debris fields outside of the ship itself should be brought up. For museums not for personal gain. Hell they should bring up as much as the can of the ship. It will be gone. And yeah “grave bla blah” but the bodies are long gone. There’s nothing left. For future generations they should preserve history.
Wow, from 22:22 to 23:40, that is the 2nd class entrance and Elevator Shaft on the stern. Only thing recognizable on the stern is the Engines. Seems to me that around the middle of the stern seems to have collapsed because there is so much debris around the 2nd class entrance. Great video. Poor old girl. Rip to those who were lost. I'm a big Titanic nerd. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
the 2 halves had a toxic relationship, the bow caused all the problems but the stern suffered the most. i saw that comment somewhere and it always springs to mind when i see the stern, it's so sad to see it like this
Well.. yes and no.. the area had its water tight doors shut.. but the ship didn’t have a very gentle sink once it broke apart and went to the bottom some 2.5 miles.. then landed with such a force that the wooden walls and ceilings came crashing down. From pictures it looks as though the pool was in a steel lined room but that water likely splashed all around that room.. who knows what it looks like.. everywhere around it has been exposed to salt.. the water tight doors are rusted and salt water has very very likely seeped through them. Can you imagine being trapped in the pool area as it went down? Awful.
Titanic archive Project, do you know of the expedition with PH Nargeolet and Charles Pelligrino, where they explore the stern's interior? Believe this was in the late 90s.
oh so many expeditions made over the years and the amount of money and/or resources spent on these trips to and from the Titanic, it was certainly enough to have successfully raised the giant. because we actually have enough technology on board today... John, Manaus, Brazil
If you had any claw at all, how could you not retrieve that perfectly intact thing at 6:55? Was it a teacup? A cooking pot? A chamber pot? Did anyone ever grab it?
5:25 is that a buffet style coffee distributor? I don’t even know what they are called now.. but it looks like a coffee thing. By it are a pair of shoes and a mug.. that last cup of the hot stuff before going into the freezing sea
im not a professional but i guess it just didnt experienced much phyiscal stress and is completly made of of plastic so it didnt decompose.. chatgpt also mentioned it could also be from another ship much later or just a random sign x)
It's still intact because it has only been there since about 1986. It was placed there by one of the Robert Ballard expeditions. I'm guessing the rope is nylon. It's certainly NOT "just a random sign."
@@davidcoyle1084 u didnt said anthing just bonkers bullshit.. its still intact cuz its been 50 years under water...? what kind or reasoning is this? @torbenkramm2725 YOU'RE the one who suggested it was just a random sign. I'm telling you it's not, that it was placed there during a previous expedition, and is in the condition it's in because it is a metal plaque, with a rope attached to it made of non-biodegradeable fiber, and it's only been there a fraction of the time the wreck has. How does that not make sense??
Just want to Thank James Cameron for sharing these videos! After I saw the documentary style movie in 2003 I hoped that the entirety of the footage they captured would be released to the public. My Great Grandfathers Brother, Henry Hansen, lost his life in this tragedy. My Mom told me the story of how her Grandparents never heard a word of whether he was one of those recovered at sea and then tossed back in with a quick prayer as he was steerage. If they found steerage passenger bodies after the “accident” they looked for identification that may be on them, tied a 50 pound weight to their legs and put them back in the sea with a prayer. My Great grandparents were angry about that though they never knew if he was found. I’m not sure if that’s a blessing or a curse.
Why don’t expedition teams Try to find missing planes in the Bermuda or some of the jet airliners with hundreds aboard that just vanished from radar and are sitting at the bottom of the ocean ? If they can get this clarity from this depth surely they can find some of those missing planes ? Leave the titanic alone already gosh it’s a graveyard and there is no more to see or do. Give it peace go find some real mysteries that are awaiting on the ocean floor somewhere.
Condolences to the people of titanic however I believe that the people who claimed not even God can sink her I see this as one of the biggest slaps God ever got in the face God created the endless universe and knows the exact number of atoms in the universe but also knows every electron on that atom .Titanic serves as a reminder never to challenge God that's why titanic is everything you expect deep scary ECT don't worry the anchor still works .

It wouldn't have looked as interesting as it is now. The fact that we find this fascinating is because it has survived for so long.
It probably won't be a nice site to see most of the human remains everywhere

I agree except the blah blah. Even if people like Eva Hart are dead, and we save as much as we can, her story deserves more respect than “blah blah.”

I can't believe no one has tried to see if it still says "Titanic Liverpool" on the back.
They have, and it does.
when you see the aft mast, if you look at the bottom, you can see the deck being torn upwards when the mast fell to port.
Amazing footage.

Is there any videos of the stern interior? I think one was in the 90s, but I don't know where to find that
Same :(
I suspect this is what happens when the water rushed in the stern side at a much faster rate when it sank .
This, in my opinion is most interesting and information.

What are all those white things sticking up? Is is some type of wires?
I think it's some kind of plant or lifeform and doesn't belong to the Titanic.
Bamboo corals possibly
I've never seen any type of fish. What are all those particles in the water though?? An ocean's "dust"?

What the heck is that square rusted object at the beginning of the video?
Why there isn't any fish?
They can't stand the deep water.
It's 3,800 meters deep. At that depth there isn't many marine animals.
Why didn't silt and sediment, etc cover over these items?
So it that a tap, basin and a mirror.
