Much gratitude to you brother! Because you opened the directions that came with your Lee Perfect Powder Measure and displayed it on the screen for us, I was able to refresh my memory on how to read the Lee metering rod&thimble set up. But having seen it again it really isn't so complicated and I always check my powder throws with my Lee Perfect Powder Scale anyhow. Now can head back to my basement and start reloading my .44-40 cases with some IMR-4227 for a Rossi M92 SRC! I have one of these perfect powder measures that came with the Lee Anniversary Reloading Kit I bought back in the nineties and I can't find the instructions anymore.

Glad I could help! I personally just adjust till I get throw I want, but the directions do cut some time down. For the money it’s the best powder thrower in its class, it’ll reliably throw powder my Dillon 550 powder measure won’t. Of course operations are different but this little Lee punches above its weight in price to performance.

The Winchester Ball powders are a little more difficult because of the weight and shape of each flake of powder. Also, I cannot get any accuracy when using Hodgdon Superformance. All the IMR powders meter very accurately. Overall. I am very pleased with the Lee Powder Measure.

Yeah I love mine, it throws IMR 4198, 4895, and unique perfectly. I don’t really need it for say loading the 45-70 cause I’m not trying to pump rounds out but it is a convenience I don’t wanna go without now lol.

Imho this is probably the most accurate measure on the market at its price point and let’s not forget digital scales, such as the one shown here, is only accurate to +/- 0.1 itself! Kind regards from across the pond in deepest Dorset England 🇬🇧🇺🇸

Honestly until you get into real long distance precision shooting there’s no reason to buy any other powder measure. This measure throws more accurate than even dillons powder measure I have on my RL550C.

just started reloading a few days ago and my throw is within .3 grain which is fine because I am between 26.7 and 27.2 for 223 the max load Hornady says is safe is 27.4 for my powder and its nice to be able to just put the casing right on the throw and weigh that way.
