Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on RUclips, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on RUclips. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on RUclips, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.
This is a reaction video used to educate and give my feedback on the song and artists.

The calypso versión they played in 1986 during their concerts in Australia and New Zealand was the best one on my opinión.
    Great DS/MK

Dire Straits hit the record stores and radio waves in '78, with The Sultans of Swing. By the time this album was released, they and Mark were well established as a great band and very special guitarist. Later on, Mark teamed up with Chet Atkins, another guitar demi-God of an earlier era, and the two did some very special finger-pickin' music together.

I’m always impressed by the sounds that mark makes with the guitar. Playing without pick makes huge difference to how gentle a guitar can sound. I’m sure mark is left handed so he’s using the guitar opposite to the way most would do it ie they would have their weaker hand at the neck end but he has his stronger hand.

Try Ride Across the River Live in Sydney 1986 by this unbeatable band, their repertoire is so wide!

Great suggestion and reaction, love this song :) Just to let you know, the official Dire Straits channel is premiering another song from the same concert this Friday, "Why Worry" (my favorite song from Brothers in Arms)...it's on youtube already but this might be a higher quality version.

Hi its me again I really like dire straits my favourite is brothers in arms which I think is hauntingly beautiful and of course performed so well as always. Sometimes the oldies are the goodies. Great reaction as usual you have been busy today 😊brothers in arms is a track from the album of the same name it always makes me a bit tearful because it's so moving.

Mentioned about marks guitar playing that can't be matched, well the rolling stones top 100 guitarist players don't seem to think so, I've never seen him rated higher than 16th, absolute bullshit he shouldn't even be rated higher than 6th, I don't care what that compilation or anyone else thinks, you have your own mind your own thoughts and your own feelings and mark was way before his time in style and sound TOP 1 FOR ME 👌🏼

For me too. M.K is in the Top 1.

@@adelhoudrouge215 when I speak to people who play guitar and we mention hendrix they always say it beggars belief how he's always rated number 1 but I think it's because he was one of the first geniuses to do something different, I don't Diss any rock stars guitarism but knopfler is no way above 16th which is the lowest I ever saw him, whoever compiled that list has looked at 1 or 2 songs and thought ahh not as great as the others, there's a bucketful of songs and solo endings that knocks spots off others

I have to say... there is so much fantastic music out there from so many fantastic artists. But I think Mark Knopfler, in all his incarnations, is probably still my favourite overall. The competition is tough though.

Hey brother, I thought I'd drop off another song by "Dire Straits - Down To The Waterline/Lions (Rockpop In Concert, 19th Dec 1980)" --This song was written by Mark Knopfler in 1978 and released on their debut album called "Dire Straits" and FUNFACT: this song also led to their first recording contract. In this performance we see how easily Mark Knopfler can command the audience...and of course his spectacular guitar skills.

Going to respond a second time, and highly recommend that you search youtube for this title: -Mark Knopfler with Chet Atkins Walk of Life live HD- and watch it, even if you just watch for yourself without doing a reaction. It's more than just this one song, and it's an opportunity for you to see and hear a little from Mr. Chet Atkins, who I mentioned in the other response.
