They’ll soon see nobody is out on the street delivering their food, if this is the route they choose to go. We’re not out there for charity, we’re just trying to survive in a crumbling economy.

I avg 18/25 an hr most shifts. I take nothing under dollar a mile and avg 76 percent acceptance . I must be in a good area ( definitely not rich though). I have seen more cheapskates lately last month. Now that I can’t keep top dasher with their new rules I’m getting less good orders. Stupid 100 orders in 30 days where I can lose it in a day ! I can’t door dash all the time it’s by side gig.

Earn by time has been in our market for 9 months but i had no desire to try it. Turn the app on yesterday and saw $14.75 versus $13.50. I started my dash and needed to pause right away to run an errand. When i finally started to dash it said i was on ebt. I was like, "No Way"! So i tried it and delivered all either no tip, or very low tip orders. I made $33 in an hour n a half. So it wasn't the worst, glad i tried it, but never again. I average $25 an hour with the high and low hours. My AR is 21%. Racine, WI
I did it twice by mistake and both times I made about same as by order but its meh.

@@theluckyman I don't work just one market man I work all over my state I'm a gig worker stay fluid. and also if you target small median size cities The scammers and the immigrants won't be in those they are going to tend to be in higher volume markets. that allows you to find a market you can work for a while when that market changes you just move on to the next.
Why would anyone do earn by time
In a bad market, they force you to do earn by time. Whenever I try to do per offer, they'll have me sitting doing nothing for long amounts of time, then when they do finally send an offer, it's absolutely terrible and extremely insulting.
I can't get the glitch to work on EBT. Don't know what I am doing wrong.
You want to maintain on average an 80 percent acceptance rate.. but in order to train the algorithm you need a few AR to 'play' with to be able to decline the bad orders. People who are taking every order and keeping an acceptance rate of 90+ you are telling the algorithm to keep sending nothing but trash. It's a slow process to train the algorithm.. don't be afraid to go down a couple points because they will send you a good order. The trick is not to fall too low to where the algorithm won't send you anything. Never accept total high miles and extremely low pay. Take the 'smallest' hits possible and use those offers to raise your AR. If you keep crazily accepting all the trash.. trash is all you will get. Hope this helps someone. It's better to raise the AR slowly vs. taking ALL trash all the time to get your AR up.
You said it just right . We need to train the algorithm that we will no stoop so low as to accept trash orders to increase the AR Let those orders go take the hit and recover to an acceptable level on your own terms. Even then they still send you crap in between.

Doordash has never been my main, just an extra logged in possible money maker, usually catering or other high paying whenever they come in. I will never do orders paying less than $20. If I did, I would just work a W2 with benefits. Most of these food apps make you cause to much wear and tear and drive way to many miles I like to make more money driving less usually shop orders

I turned off doordash already , it dosent make sense , always crazy lowball orders . Constantly distracts me while driving , it is very dangerous😤😤😤

I get tips and often get more than guaranteed tip.
On EBT if you decline one put on pause for at least 5 minutes. Good chance you won't get the order again.

Pretty easy when you only get 3 orders and then told by support to wait 48-72 hours and reinstall.
They are making it hard to keep priority to make 100 orders in a month at this rate.
I'm in the 4th biggest city right in the middle of every hot spot.

Oh wait I did get a "$2 high priority order" with a 30lb bag of dog food & flea collar going . 05 miles away. Across the street.

I would think that might be a good time to test their drone experiment they did in VA a month ago rather than put driver's at risk. I received 2 orders tonight for $8 mind you 10+ miles or more...

The types of delivery vehicles I am exploring. Human powered bicycle, Ebike, gas motor powered bicycle, and third version, a rear mounted gas powered motor on a mid drive electric bicycle. However, I do believe which ever of these types of transportation versions you choose be sure to bring along a reclining foldable camping chair to rest between orders. I am considering both on one bike, rear mounted gas powered motor for long stretch rides and a mid drive electric bicycle for people congested neighborhoods and spaces.

One ebike 48v battery at 750watts can do four short runs and still have power for a trip home so with multiple batteries one can probably pull 6 or 7 short runs per battery not to mention charging the batteries while waiting for orders. What state u in cuz yah still on the old dash menu. And in the 5 boroughs of nyc DD removed dash anytime. I was a 99% everything dasher n they stopped that dash anytime like 5 weeks ago. Yes i said was a 99% across the board. These guys deactivated my account 2 times in 7 days and i didnt do anything. Its sad how they do the top dasher. So dont strive to much to be one. Focus on uber more
