Old mans a truckie. Grew up to the sound of a cummins motor. Ive always liked the kamai ranges drive and also The coromandel Penninsula, the sisters, mt messenger etc... Love these vids mate, cheers 👍
Foden Alphas at 08.35 and 13.42.Love the variety of trucks and axle configurations.A hell of a lot better than the euro yawns we have here in the UK.I'll bet drivers are held in higher regard over there too! Great job Will😎👍👍! Barp!Barp!🤣
@@sameuljones5496 Hi mate!Doesn't surprise me..Just thought that the fact they are much bigger than ours might have made a difference but obviously not.Pretty poor really!l'm an ex trucker myself, and most drivers, especially older ones, want to get out of it due to the hours, stress, lack of social life and crap useless management,to name but a few reasons! You do have lovely trucks though.Would'nt mind driving one of those myself😎👍!
So interesting video for viewers from northern hemisphere. Why so many double steering axles trucks and there so much free space on tractor's platform? Thanks
Axle weights and length restrictions. Also we pay Road User Charges (RUC) per km based on weight and the number of axles. Generally it's cheaper to have more axles. 9 axles for 50 tonne (110,000 lb) is the size for the trucks with the "H" stickers but on selected routes they can be approved for more. A long haul for a Log Truck maybe up to 400 km one way, usually a lot shorter.
There is a tally station down the road that some go to then take the logs into port. Some trucks have to come down and use the roundabout as they are not allowed to cross the road to enter the tally station
If you see properly there are chains next to every pole on truck as well as trailer... here i NZ any load that wighs more than 2.5tonnes have to be chained. Anything under 2.5 tonnes can be strapped with ratchet straps.

Hello my name is DENIS I am a truck driver but only in Russia, I want to learn more about the drivers of New Zealand.
I'll be darned, that's the first Kiwi Peterbilt I've ever seen, I knew a few made it to Australia but I didn't know they were in NZ too
There are couple with Porter Hire Hamilton. Usually Pulling all those big diggers...
Every 3rd truck is Peterbilt in Nz
I hope sometime I can work in New Zealand as a truck driver 💪💪
Nice frend sport

Ash old age bro 🤣🤣🤣😎
so whats the point of heading down to the round about, going around, then heading back still fully loaded to where they came from ? HUH??
ISO log marshalling yard to the left of where we standing due to H & S the trucks are not aloud to cross over the road
SCANIA o the best.... ?????🤨
ok saya suka selendia baru
Why does trucks in NZ got so many axels?
spread the load, less road damage
Also two steering axles can be a life saver should one of the steering tyres blow.
