- In this video we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Mary-Kate and Ashley's movie NEW YORK MINUTE. Along with the movie, Mattel released dolls and a House of Bling hair salon playset - both of which I had in my childhood, and still have till the day! lets give them some love and clean up my childhood dolls and put together the playset :)

I absolutely LOVE that you cleaned up your childhood girls and made them beautiful again, and you know what? The haircuts are very 2000's. And the fact that you still have basically every piece from your original playset??? Amazing!

Grant, What is wonderful is your enthusiasm about your childhood dolls. I never knew there were so many items made for Mary -Kate and Ashley! You mentioned one time they were featured in Barbie Bazaar. Unfortunately, there is not an index to the issues so if you can get me the exact issue I can probably find it for you. I absolutely loved the movie. I love that you have several in box and out of box. This was one of the coolest movies like Ferris buler's day off kind of storyline to it. Mary Kate's was my favorite character cuz she had such a punk type style. Ashley had more of her typical preppy style. They did that a lot with mk&a the total opposites.
For the longest i didn't know that they were fraternal twins cux they were so much alike. I grew up with them because they were born in the same year as i was. (I'm old) lol 🤣 i need to go back and have a movie marathon again. I was on billboard dad last i left off in order of thier movies

I love this. I lost my Ashley doll during a move from my college dorm. I'm sure my roommate threw her away 😢 I still have Mk, she's in my memory box at my parents' house. I definitely want to find the set again and preserve them.
