I live not too far from the NHN, and have grown up with this neat little gravel hauler. Back in the '90's they had an all GP9 fleet and 70+ car trains for Boston's big dig. Good group of people who take pride in their work.
I've been photographing this train as it comes though Rochester at the Franklin Street crossing. I've yet to see 5509 leading the path. I did stop by the North Coast Drive crossing today (without camera). That may be where I will get a shot of 5509.
I just got really lucky to have 5509 leading. I don't think it has led much recently... from what I've heard it might be sent back to FURX once the lease is up.
Another pretty cool thing, is that the first crossing has a WRRS mini bell, also pretty rare (although they are more common up here) And oh my, that P5

They're a very niche operation. Lots of fun to see in action!
I'll have to stop by this crossing. Of late, I've really gotten into photographing these locomotives.
fantastic video!!!! great footage.
Thank you very much!

Great video of NHN! I hope i can railfan them soon..
This is why I love small railroads
Me too!
Whoa, they even have their own rolling stock like RBMN
Yeah! They've got a nice operation running up there.
Great video boy do they take care of their equipment and track work.
Thank you! They sure do.
That was a cool video! Those locomotives are sharp looking
Excellent stunning shots, beautiful OC P5 and nice Leslie S5T!
Glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate the compliments!
Amazing how much more effectively a cement company can run a railroad then Guilford lol
It really is haha
Beautiful OC P5!!!! Amazing!!! Also glad to see the 3823 still with her amazing S5T!
I agree! Lots of foam :-)
I really need to get back up there sometime. And that time, I'd like to chase D7. I chased D8 the first and only time I went up there, it was fun!

nice locomotives like all of them
nice horns on them like the horns
Nice video!! Too bad they took 1801 off for D8.
Thank you! We were just as happy with 3823, its S5T is pretty nice.
@@IsaiahsTrains No problem! True, that's a great horn!
